Sure, you should try mckenzie back extension exercises, leg pain radiating from the back can be due to nerves in the back, but you will also require some special painkiller for nerve pain.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area.

Kindly show me a photograph & digital X RAYS of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am having lower back pain. I think its due to wrong gym posture and wallet, I have stopped the gym and do only the physio exercise suggested by docter. But not getting 1% benifit of that. My age is 25 only. And i want to do the gym. But cant do because of this back pain. Suggest me something.

Dear dipak,i can understand your problem. see this kind of lower back pain may have many causes. but presently you stop doing gym. in place you can do more aerobic or pranayama exercises. for better result i have to evaluate you thoroughly face to face personally, than only i can get the cause of pain. as you are very young so you should care your back now only, muscle can be made later age also. our concern is with good health and pain free movement. here i am giving some tips so that you can get temporary relief. 1 Lie down flat on floor without pillow. 2 Dont lift heavy weight for time being 3 Try to lie down on your belly for some time. 4 if possible do BHUJANGASANA its very effective but slowly 5 apply warm water or analgesic gel to painful part. Lastly if possible consult me as early as possible if you are in or nearby Rajkot. or keep in touch will advice as needed. DR HEMANG S JANI

Hot fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction. Sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily bhujang asana x 15 timesx twice daily core strengthening exercises. Back stretching.

Dear lybrate-user, as you said, you are weak, do some regular excercises in the early morning, take rest properly, avoid sleeping in day time, spend time with friends, nothing but weakness. You can have b-complex tablets twice a day.

Hello lybrate-user, good that you are playing sports. This happens when you take a break in your physicial activities and suddenly you start playing weekly one day. Next day your muscles will be tried, bcoz, it has not used for that must physical activity. 1. Do regular exercise. 2. Dear User, Do proper exercise like walking slowly, asana, pranayam. Apply medicated oil like Dashmool taila over knee and back before bath. Avoid backery products keep your bowel clear. Generally with flatulance (gas problem) pain gets worsen, so avoid such food. You can consult me with your x rays and other reports in private.

Massage with hot sesame oil for 15 min. Afterwards give hot fomentation. This will helps you great. In females back pain may due to white discharge or period problems. If you have such problem do consult for that.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

I have got Anti CCP Antibody report as 12.50 NEGATIVE and ANA test as NEGATIVE interpretation, No Pattern, Titre expected 1: 32. I have l5-s1 disc herniation since 2007. I am now suffering center back pain, neck pain, on and off and sometimes pain between left shoulder and spine at upper lower back. I will undergo MRI soon but can you help me what does report mean? It seems that you are having disc herniation L5S1 which may responsible for LBA with or without radiation to leg.In addition you are having joint Pain which may be because of Ankylosing spondilitis with morning stiffness. You need inv. Like TLC/DLC/ESR/CRP/HLA B-27 and a MRI Spine Lumbosacral region. Treatment depends on the. Diagnosis based on clinical exam. Laboratory Tests and MRI Scan. Take rest avoid strain full activity and take muscle relaxant medicine and heat fermentation twice a day if it work then ok otherwise take physiotherapy treatment. Precautions are. Avoid long standing, sitting, toward bending, lifting heavyweight. And do spine extension exercise in daily routine.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.
