Hi gingival hyperplasia is seen as the side effects of some medicines. It can be due to that. You can take a second opinion also to a periodontist. Gingivectomy is the surgical process done to remove excess gingival portion.

Advanced Aesthetics, BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently.

Consuming sugary food in a huge quantity can be harmful for the teeth as the bacteria present in dental plaque changes them into acids.

Hello. I have got impacted wisdom tooth. Which I got extracted on 16 March 2017 .And even my stitches are removed today. But still I'm feeling pain in my other teeth and check .What should I do. When should I start eating from that of my mouth. When it will be normal. Please help me. I'm very scared.

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Gorakhpur
A difficult extraction may lead to your said problem. It will take one or two weeks to subside your cheek or other tooth pain. You can continue to take pain killers for the same. In between you can choose to eat soft food from extracted side. After sometime you can slowly resume to hard food chewing from that side. Thank you.

Kindly apply orahelp gum paint twice daily for 15 days. Also take multivitamins for a month. Also notice that you are not constipated, stressed, having lack of sleep, having acidity problem etc as these are few of the reasons for ulcers. Avoid having hot and spicy food as this may irritate the ulcers.

Flossing is as important as brushing on a daily basis. Taking the floss all the way down to the point where the teeth and gums meet is the appropriate way of doing it.
