Hi doctor, I have nasal congestion problem for back 3 years due to that I have to feel difficulties during breathing....
If you have nasal polyps they will have to be removed. Nasal polyps occur due to an allergy. You could be having a nasal septum deviation too which if it is gross has to be corrected. Medicines alone may not help. Post surgery an antihistaminic along with a steroid nasal spray will be beneficial. The fact that you have this problem since the past 3 years get it rectified asap. Consult an ENT surgeon.

From my ear puss is ejecting i had done operation 5 years backs but still its coming how to stop it or control it

MS - ENT
ENT Specialist, Aurangabad
Dear , Ear surgery done correctly for a proper ear condition usually stops the ear discharge and also helps in hearing improvement. If after the first ear surgery there is some persistent ear drum perforation or any other ear pathology , then a revision ear surgery may be required . Please get a detailed ear examination, preferably under microscope, to know the cause of ear discharge and further management.

Thank you for your query. 1. Almost all people at some point in their lives experience tinnitus. Tinnitus does not have a cure, however, it may be controlled. How severe is your tinnitus on a scale of 1 to 10? 2. Get your ears examined to rule out any ear wax which is one of the commonest causes of Tinnitus. Also rule out any perforation of the ear drum. Decreased hearing also makes one more aware of tinnitus. Get a PTA (Pure Tone Audiogram) done. If you have a hearing loss, amplification may help mask the tinnitus. You may also get your middle ear pressures checked (Impedance Audiometry or Tympanometry). 3. The exact cause of Tinnitus is unknown. However one of the the agreed pathologies is damage to or loss of to hair cells in the inner ear. The role of the brain in the perception of Tinnitus also exists. For example, some people have been relieved of Tinnitus after a cerebral stroke, while some continue to hear it even after the Cochlear (Hearing) Nerve is cut. 4. What is your age? What is your exposure to occupational noise and loud music / earphones / mobile phones? Exposure to loud noise is also a leading cause for tinnitus. 5. If your Tinnitus increases on clenching the teeth, it may require dental bite correction. 6. I have noticed patients who have increased Tinnitus when they are stressed, have fluctuations of blood pressure, low hemoglobin, low blood sugar levels and so on. 7. Cochlear Synaptic Tinnitus may be treated in up to 50% people with Caroverine infusion followed by capsules for two months. Other treatments such as transtympanic steroids, gingko biloba, multi-vitamins and anti-oxidants may also help in reducing Tinnitus. 8. Kindly let me know the results of your investigations. This will help in suggesting further treatment. 9. I must emphasize that in a vast majority of patients of tinnitus, the cause is never found. However there are further treatment options depending on the type of tinnitus. I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them. Regards.

Cold, cough and throat problem can happen due to weather changes, exposure to cold air or rain, dust and pollen allergy and certain sour food. *. Mix some salt in warm water and do gargling early in the mornings. * Steam inhalation will relieve your congestion *. Keep a clove (lavang) in your mouth and slowly chew it. *. Drinking water frequently will eliminate toxins From the body and reduce congestion if any *. Avoid fried and oily foods. This can be treated by homoeopathy without adverse effects. Hello nothing to worry you are suffering an infection so the tongue gets coated at times, do salt warm water gargling. Take plenty of fluids will improve the dehydration due to infection. Take paracetamol for sore throat. If still doesn't improve than will need to start on antibiotics.

Hello. It can be lymph node enlargement or tonsillitis. If any infection in oral cavity is present it can infect other lymph nodes also. So for proper treatment exact case history is needed. You can take consultation from me through private questions.
