Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash 2 to 3 times a day daily (wash your face with warm or lukewarm water only) which is followed by CTMP, i.e. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) except at night when you just need to wash your face before going to bed. -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as this affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8 hrs. Of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and breakouts of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3 times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). Home remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days.

Hi hair needs diet rich in proteins as the strands of hair are made up of protein, beside dietary factors other factors like stress, sleep deprivation, medical illness, pollution and some medication are known to cause hairfall. Use of hair styling products, hair gels containing harsh chemicals also contribute to hair fall. Frequent t change of shampoo also causes hair to fall. Pollution rainwaters, exposure to sun makes hair dry and lustreless. Regular oiling and washing cleans the scalp n maintains healthy hair. To prevent hairfall start using arnica hair oil as it helps in checking the hair fall. Start consuming diet rich in proteins and antioxidants, have plenty of water and fruits. You can also apply coconut water at the roots of your hair it will give strength to the hair. For homoeopathic treatment consult at homoeo healing centre.

Hi lybrate-user, What is most important is knowing what kind of hair texture you have, and what your hair style is. Being maximum hold, wax, it's best for those with choppy pixie or shag-length cuts. It can be tough to wash out, but, on the upside, won't disappear by the end of the day. Use oil often atleast 3-4 times in a week. Its many advantages are here: • Allows restyling of hair. • Good at making detailed expression and accentuating the hairstyle. • Can be used all over the hair, or just on points here and there. • Can give both hard and soft hair a spiky look (by modifying the amount of wax to be used). • Hairstyle lasts longer with use of hairspray at the finishing Hope this helps. Good Luck.

What Causes Acne? Your Pimples May Reveal Something Important!

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy, FRGUHS ? Dermatosurgery

What Causes Acne? Your Pimples May Reveal Something Important!

Among one of the most common skin conditions that affect many people all over the world is Acne. It is not a harmful or a dangerous condition, but is usually a cosmetic problem and may also sometimes be a symptom of underlying conditions.

What is acne and what are its causes?

Human skin has follicles or pores in them through which hair comes out. The accumulation of a substance known as sebum within the pores of the human skin can sometimes clog these pores. When this accumulates, dead skin cells also get stuck in it and results in a swelling, which takes the form of a pimple like a crest due to bacterial infections. This condition is most prevalent among adolescents due to rapid hormonal changes in the body, although many adults and pre-adolescents have also reported this problem. Here are some common issues and lifestyle factors which make you prone to acne.

1. Hormonal imbalances – This is probably the most common reason cited for acne as adolescents tend to be afflicted by this problem. In many cases acne goes away on its own after sometimes although in other cases it does stay. In adults, especially women it has been noticed that certain hormonal changes in the body may act as acne triggers. Some of the examples of hormonal imbalances may be:

  • PMS or period related triggers in adults and adolescent women
  • High testosterone levels in women
  • Excessive androgen in men and women
  • Hormonal problems due to polycystic ovary syndrome and others
  • Taking medicines or steroids that may cause hormonal changes

2. External factors such as using too much makeup – Excessive use of cosmetic products can cause issues within the skin by blocking the pores within the skin may induce acne, even if you  do not have sebum related problems.

3. Diet Research has proved that excessive oil consumption as well as having foods rich in fat can cause acne problems. Moreover, if you consume iodine in large quantities or for a long time, it results in irritation of the skin pores giving rise to acne.

4. Certain medications and drugs - Consumption of specific over the counter medicines like the ones containing bromide and use of recreational drugs like marijuana and cocaine can lead to the occurrence of acne as side effects.

5. Genetics - Certain genetic factors may also be responsible for someone being more prone to acne than others.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Firstly start taking a full nutritious diet . A good diet is a nutritional lifestyle that promotes good health. A good diet must include several food groups because one single group cannot provide everything a human needs for good health. And what ever we are eating that reflects on our body and skin. 1. Homoeopathic medicine for fair skin is Berberis Aquafolium mother tincture.take 5 drops of it mix with water , twice a day. 2. Apply this tincture in diluted form on your face with cotton once a day . 3. wash your face with besan and curd , mix a pinch of turmeric also. 4. Apply Bio valley's skin lightening cream 5. Apply rose water to your face at night. 6. Apply cucumber juice+ lemon juice+ tomato juice on your back and neck. 7.Apply Multani mitti pack on the face, wash it off after it dries.

What do to reduce tha hair falling? I uses dove hair therapy shampoo. Other suggestion may I do?
Using the above mentioned shampoo is certainly not going to reduce your hair fall. You need to got o the root cause of your hair fall. Hormonal imbalances, genetics, tension, stress, faulty dietary habits are some of the common causes of hair fall. You need a structured treatment from a dermatologist for treating this. Minoxidil and finasteride are the gold standard molecules used for the treatment. Biotin supplements or some hair serums can also be used for added benefit. Procedures like PRP or mesotherapy are done in severe cases. They help in arresting the hair fall as well as improving the quality of your hair.
