I'm suffering from black spots on my nose all over from the past 20 days it is reducing but still there. So is there any curing methods you could suggest.

MD PHYSICIAN
General Physician, Delhi
I'm suffering from black spots on my nose all over from the past 20 days it is reducing but still there. So is there ...
You can try these home remedies to overcome black spots problem on nose: 1) Take the finely ripped papaya and peel its skin. Make the papaya into slices. Now mesh the papaya into a creamy paste. Apply this paste on the face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes, then wash with the water. Papaya contains the enzyme named papain, which exfoliates the skin and easily removes the dark spots on the face. 2) take the lemon juice and apply to the dark spots, black spots on nose and wash it off after 15 min. 3) Take the aloe Vera gel and apply on the dark spots. Wash it after 20 minutes. 4) Dark spot, black spot is caused by the vitamin deficiency. The Vitamin E deficiency is the main cause for the dark spots, black spots. Take the Vitamin E capsules is the main direct remedy. Apply the Vitamin E oils like almond oils etc. On the dark spots. Take the Vitamin E food in your diet. 5) Take the potato and make it into slices and kept those slices in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Then rub these slices on the dark spots. After 5 minutes, wash the face with lukewarm water. Another method makes the potato as paste, apply the honey to it. Apply this face mask. This may lighten the dark spots. You can consult a dermatologist to get yourself ointment prescribed for dark spots.

My skin is oily and I want to reduce the oiliness and would like to make my skin fair. Pls help me out.
Oily skin indicates that your digestion is poor. First try to make your digestion good. Keep your meal on time. Avoid bakery items, high oily, high spicy food, take plenty of water, fruits, raw vegitables (except monsoon), nonveg also try yo be stress free. If constipation is there. Try trifla churna 1tsf at bed time. Gradually your skin becomes oil free. It takes few months. Dont use high chemical contained creams. Only use facewash to clean throughout a day.

Dark Circles - 7 Ways to Treat Them Naturally!

What are dark circles?

Dark circles are shadowy patches under or around the eyes. This can make your face look aged, tired and discoloured. Dark circles may also be accompanied by puffy eyelids and redness of eyes.

What are the causes of dark circles?

  1. Emotional stress such as anxiety and depression
  2. Inadequate sleep, as a result of staying up too late or suffering from insomnia
  3. As a result of some prolonged sickness
  4. Excessive caffeine consumption
  5. Alcohol abuse
  6. Exposure and damage due to ultra violet radiation
  7. Drug abuse
  8. Not removing make up properly
  9. An unhealthy diet which lacks the necessary nutrients
  10. Diabetes
  11. Melasma or hyperpigmentation
  12. Heredity

How can dark circles be removed naturally?

  1. It is important to get enough sleep. A minimum of 7-8hours of sleep should be sufficient to rejuvenate and replenish your body cells.
  2. Drink water. The optimum level of hydration helps to prevent dark circles and many other body disorders.
  3. A balanced diet helps to renew cell growth, repairs worn out tissues and slows down the ageing process.
  4. Light massage promotes blood flow and improves circulation.
  5. It is important to quit smoking and reduce alcohol consumption.
  6. Green teabags help to reduce the darkening around the eyes.
  7. Cucumber slices also help to remove dark eye circles.

What treatments are available for removing dark circles?

  1. Medicated eye creams especially, those containing retinol, azelaic acid, hyaluronic acid, hydroquinone and vitamin C
  2. Chemical peeling that is especially, directed at the area around the eyes
  3. Microdermabrasions a non-invasive non-chemical technique that makes use of a spray of micro-crystals in order to remove the superficial layer of dry and dead skin cells.
  4. Lasers
  5. Platelet rich plasma therapy is a new modality of treatment for under eye dark circles in which platelets separated from the patient’s own blood is injected in the area around the eyes, which then releases growth factors to give a more youthful appearance.
  6. Radiofrequency skin tightening.
  7. Fillers are often used to smoothen the skin, giving it a more youthful look.
  8. Carboxytherapy is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment. It makes use of injections which inject gaseous Carbon-dioxide into the skin’s subcutaneous tissues through a needle.
  9. Intense pulse light therapy (IPL) is a non-ablative and a non-invasive mode of treatment that uses high intensity waves (pulse) of visible light to improve problems such as age lines, wrinkles, freckles, age spots and other blemishes.
  10. Cheek lift sometimes corrects dark circles

For the complete treatment of dark circles, it is important that a holistic approach is taken towards finding out the cause and customizing the treatment plan. To get rid of your dark circles and make yourself look 10 years younger, visit a Dermatologist at the earliest!

Perioral pigmentation has many causes. Rule out any allergy to some food, drugs, cosmetics, dyes, toothpastes n all. Also nutrition deficiency should be ruled out, treatment needs proper examination of the dark area, skin of other parts of face and body.
