YES and NO. There are many men and women who watch porn and still have a routine regular health and well being. Its NOT Harmful that way. BUT there are some individuals who are "hooked" to porn, they are so engrossed in it that they cant have an erection unless they see porn, or they cant get aroused unless the porn is switched on This is called Porn addiction. As a girl it may not make much of a difference, as girls dont have to have an erection, but most guys who are habituated to porn dont get erections unless they see it Porn watching is interpreted by body as "sex" and this causes the pleasurable sensations akin to sex. Like at Sex, porn watching activates the "reward circuit" in brain and neurotransmitters which are released makes a person feel "pleasure" But UNlike sex, porn is available in abundance and at mere click of a button, so every porn user usually sees more porn at every sitting, and this depletes the neurotransmitters in the brain. To get the same "high" or pleasure then the watcher has to switch to newer more advanced forms of porn like multiple partners, group sex, S&M, old and young porn, porn where urination etc is seen and even porn where rapes are shown. ALL this makes the person more happy as the watcher gets more pleasure, but inadvertently this sets a high "benchmark" for his excitability. This causes the porn addict to feel less aroused when they engage in real sex, as there is NO such high. This is what causes erectile dysfunction, dis satisfaction, reliance on artificial means like dildos to get satisfaction etc So "habitual porn watching" is harmful and it can create havoc with a persons life. Limiting it to few viewings may help To break the habit on ehas to keep away from it ands indulge in more creative pursuits to kill boredom, reading novels or playing music going out on dates, or dinenrs or picnics to build a human interaction helps Abstain from porn to get rid of it's addiction. You can masturbate when you feel aroused but, that would be done when you are having sexual thoughts, and privacy.

Are Detox Diets Good For You?

Given that detox diets won't rid the body of impurities or lead to real weight loss, are there any benefits of using them? The only thing one can say positively is that: 
A detox diet may encourage you to eat more nutritious foods. Some detox diets recommend nutrient-rich foods like:

  • lemons
  • green tea
  • fruit juices
  • colorful fruits and vegetables

All of these could, in part, increase your intake of certain nutrients. Some of which might help the body deal with incoming toxins or offer other health benefits.However, a three day detox diet won't move the dial on toxicity (or health) anywhere near as much as maintaining a healthy lifestyle the other 362 days of the year.

Disadvantages of detox diets: For most people, the disadvantages of a detox diet are much more numerous than the potential benefit.

Detox diets are often inconvenient: Any diet will take some effort to organize, and detox diets are no exception. Ironically, you'll probably never put as much work into eating less as you do into a detox.  People with limited time, money, and resources won't enjoy juicing seven kgs of veggies and fruits each day. Especially if they're feeling weak, listless, or dizzy, some of the most frequently reported side effects of juice cleanses.

Detox diets are often too low in energy

Most juice diets are extremely low in calories. In fact, some people argue that juicing is just a way to starve and feel good about it. With the low energy intake you'll often notice other things slowing down, you may feel colder, or sluggish, or notice digestion taking a while.

Detox diets may cause blood sugar swings that is cleansing built on fruit juices can cause major swings in blood sugar, making them downright dangerous for people with diabetes, and potentially risky for many others.

Detox diets can be tough on your GI tract: The fruit juices used for many detox diets contain very little fiber. Fiber is a cleanser. It's like a street sweeper for the GI tract; it slows down digestion and aids absorption of nutrients.

There is no credible information saying that the GI tract does better when it doesn't get solid foods (unless the GI tract is damaged). Instead, the gut does well with probiotics, glutamine from protein rich foods, and fiber. You'll struggle to get all of these on a cleanse.
Detox diets are often low in essential fats.

While some less extreme detox diets allow things like nuts and seeds, hard core cleanses typically eliminate most fat-containing foods, even healthy fats. Extreme variations in fat intake i.e. swinging from high (pre-cleanse) to low (cleanse) to high (post-cleanse celebration) to low (back on the cleanse train again) can cause trouble for organs that process dietary fats, like the gallbladder.

Detox diets may cause electrolyte imbalances: Many cleanses involve drinking a lot of liquid (such as water, herbal teas, and/or juices) while removing many foods that contain salts. Some "detox diets" also suggest using diuretic supplements. This can cause potentially dangerous imbalances in your electrolytes, charged chemicals found in fluids throughout your body. The imbalance is even more likely if overhydration is combined with low energy intake.

In fact, there's a name for this phenomenon, well known to health care providers who deal with extreme anorexia, malnutrition, or any medical condition with severely restricted food intake that is refeeding syndrome.

To keep operations running when nutrients and energy are low and electrolytes are disrupted, the body may adjust its metabolic environment (for instance, it may deplete cells of minerals to keep blood levels of those minerals stable).

Not only can this affect health during the detox diet, it can cause potentially cause serious problems when a person on a detox diet (especially a longer-lasting one) starts eating normally again.

Detox diets can create a cycle of restrictive eating and deprivation:
Detox diets, the entire concept of "cleansing", in fact can enable feast-or-famine style eating patterns:

  • The detox diet starts tomorrow, so I'll eat a bunch of "toxic" foods tonight.
  • On the detox diet now. Not allowed any stuff I enjoy.
  • The detox diet ends tomorrow, so I'll get set to eat all those "toxic" foods I missed! And so on.

Recognize that thought pattern? It's the classic dieter mentality. On the wagon, off the wagon, on the wagon, off the wagon. It's always more harmful than helpful. When you think and eat this way:

  • You never learn to find the sane middle ground.
  • You never learn to prepare real food and real meals that are both nutritious and delicious.
  • You're always in "all-or-nothing" mode. (Usually getting "nothing", because "all" is really, really hard.)

Worst of all is you never feel truly happy with any of your choices.
Fortunately, the body "cleanses" itself, if we can't ever avoid toxins, doesn't it then make sense to do some sort of detox? Not really. That's because our bodies have very robust detoxification systems. Our major organs of detoxification include are:

  • Digestive tract;
  • Kidneys;
  • Skin;
  • Lungs;
  • Liver,
  • Lymphatic system;
  • Respiratory system;

These systems break down chemicals (toxic or otherwise) into other form, which we can eliminate via the toilet, sweat, or breathing. And the body seems to do a pretty good job of this when placed in a balanced (i.e. healthy) environment.

Take Home Message:
The idea that you can speed up and improve your body's detox pathways by drinking detox water is nonsense. That said, it is still a healthy drink with a few health benefits. Nevertheless, you could probably get most of these benefits from drinking regular water. However, people often find plain water boring. If infusing your water with fruits and vegetables means that you drink more water and less sugary drinks, then it can only be a good thing.

I taking udiliv 300 mg but no improvement .after taking meal between right lobe and left lobe I feel discomfort (heaviness). Can I take Amway salmon omega 3 .i don't drink n non veg. Hi lybrate-user, Try to keep to a regular timing for going to bed*Avoid fried and heavy foods. Eat early and light food at night so that the food is almost digested by the time you go to bed. Prefer fruits and green vegetables. Fix daily work schedule and be busy with your work. Don’t keep pending problems in mind. Note down the points and leave them for next day’s action. Don’t do stimulating mental work or keep watching TV which can keep your mind agitated or active. This will not allow you to sleep. LCD screen will also have adverse effect. Day’s physical exercise makes you tired and induces sleep. *A warm bath in the evening will also be helpful. Low volume music also induces sleep. Keep your bed room neat, dark and cool. You may cover your eyes with bed sheet. *Drink plenty of water during the day rather than toward bedtime. Don’t have stimulating drinks like tea or coffee. Drinking a glass of milk before going to bed is fine. If not releived of your problem revert me back ill help you as apart from doctor I have 10 years experience in Yoga and meditation. Tc.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear mcr chappels which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain.

Chronic ischemic changes are age related. And it is related to hypertension, diabetes and cholesterol. Control the risk factors if any. And doctor must have started aspirin for this problem. Nothing serious.

Hi, Please follow these tips: 1. Drink 2-3 lts of water per day. 2. Consume lot of fibre in your diet like raw vegetabes, fruits, whole grains, oats. Etc. 3. Eat one fully ripe big banana at bed time. 4. Drink one glass of hot milk with one spoon of ghee in it at bedtime. 5. Take your food at regular intervals. Avoid spicy and oil fried food. 6. Never curb the urge to pass stools. \ 7. Never put in lot of pressure to pass stools. 8. Add 2tsf of sugar to 4 tsf of oinon juice, mix it well and take it in the morning on empty stomach for 1-2 weeks, which cures piles. 9. Add 1tsf of sugar and 1 tsf of butter to 1 tsf of powdered seeds of wild basil plant, take this twice daily for 2-3 weeks. 10. Mix 1/2 a glass of raddish juice with 1/2 a glassof buttermilk and drink it in the morning for 1-2 weeks to cure pile 11. Add1 tsf of ghee and 1tsf of sugar to 4 tsf of onion juice, mix it and take it twice daily daily to cure bleeding piles. 12. Mix curds to grated onion and take it twice daily with food to arrest bleeding piles. He can even undergo Kshara karma procedure after consulting an Ayurvedic doctor.

Hello , sinusitis is sometimes got serious when it stuff it feels nothing will work. Saltwater nasal rinses for your nose can help, too. You can buy a kit or mix up your own at home. The recipe: mix about 16 ounces (1 pint) of lukewarm distilled, sterile, or previously boiled water with 1 teaspoon of salt. Some people add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to take the sting out of the salt.
