I am 32 years female, when I wake up in morning I felt some stiffness in my fingers, my rf is positive (106) but pgi chandigarh's doctors says that they didn't find any symptoms of it so they can't give me any medicine. But I have a little pain and stiffness all the time of day. What should I do? Please guide. Thanks.

My ACL was complete tear but after regular exercise of 1 year I am alright now but I'm little worry to run can I again do MRI scan ! To see the current status ! My regular exercise is cycling.

I had a first episode of bells palsy 6 years back and a second one 2 years back. Am completely unaware what causes it. Although, i suppose it has to do with strain on my cervical bones; my doctor said its due to herpez simplex virus. I need to figure it out in order to avoid future incidence. Pls help!

Hi, the basic thing you have to know to avoid such infections is that your immunity is low. You have to work on your immunity part with good diet, food supplements and regular exercise or workout. This will lead you to get rid off these kind of infections. Take care and have a nice day.

My name is srishti agarwal! I have pain in my lower back since 3 years. I got my x ray done and it seems quite normal. Consulted a physiotherapist she said my back muscles are weak and I have to exercise regularly to keep the pain suppressed. I got ultrasound and tens done there. Once I take the treatment 8-10 days my pain disappears for 6-8 months. This time it started back in 4-5 months only. I thought of changing my mattress so I wanted to know what kind of mattress is best for lower back pains! Please revert asap.

Hi lybrate-user. You seem to have a mechanical low backache. Exercises will help you a lot. Do core strengthening exercises for the same. As Das as the mattress is concerned, get a firm mattress. But it should not be too hard. Try out a firm mattress with memory foam top. It's usually quite effective in patients with backache. Avoid pure foam or too hard mattresses.

In March last year the required angioplasty was undergone and I am to take medicines of approx Rs. 4, 500/- each month including Human Mixtard (30: 70) Insulin. Hi = relax and stay positive. = increase fluid intake. = eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = do stretching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = if you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = do check your calcium and vit. D = apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still you dont get relief see a physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation. Best wishes.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

This is a common problem with new Gym going person. One should avoid forward bending and straight leg raising, sitting cross-legged. If it is mild it will take 1-2 weeks. You should stop Gym for few days to a week. But you may continue GYm with the afore said precautions. You can continue walker in the mean time.

From one week, I've been practising running for Police SI events test. Suddenly, now I'm getting severe HEEL PAIN & its quite painful even to walk normally. Start exercising daily (start with very simple exercising schedule ). Eat in small portions (2 chappaties) and eat more of vegetables and fruits. You can eat again if you feel hungry!

dear nilofer, according age and height weight should be below 65kgs. avoid long standing. drink warm water in the morning and little excercises to reduce qeight. apply pain relief ointment with heat fermentation to reduce heel painor can take heel massager can be used at home.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.
