Itching problem near anus and skin colour changed to black is this any disease r psoriasis explain me.
Itching may cause due to humidity in groin region and from using tight inner wears. This in turn changes the skin color to blackish due to skin thickening. Use loose and dry inner wears to avoid fungal infections further. You can use any anti-septic lotion for external washing too.

Sir I have a problem whenever I do a little work or even doing nothing my hands remain shivering I am only 25 years old.
Neurological problems can cause tremors, but they can also be caused by metabolic problems and toxins (such as alcohol) that affect the brain and nervous system. Shaking hands and tremor can also be a side effect of different medications.

Hi, I suggest, you go to a neurologist for loss of weight as chief complaint, here is some stuff which might help you: Eat small, frequent meals, every two to three hours, or eat a nutritious snack between meals. Eat foods you enjoy. Save your energy for eating by keeping easy-to-prepare foods on hand. Stimulate your appetite by seasoning food with herbs, spices and sauces. Include some high-calorie foods like cream and butter (if recommended by your primary care provider) in your diet. Consider drinking a nutritional supplement, such as Ensure® or Carnation® Breakfast Essentials™. Avoid filling up on coffee, tea and clear soups. Limit fatigue by choosing foods that are easy to chew (e.g. Smoothies, ground meats or other soft proteins) and asking for help in cutting other foods (meat) into smaller pieces. Increase consumption of whole grains (whole grain rice, breads). BUT THESE SHOULD BE ONLY TAKEN AFTER ADVISE FROM A NEUROLOGIST.

Brain Tumor Surgery

IFAANS, DNB (Neurosurgery), MBBS
Neurosurgeon, Ghaziabad
Brain Tumor Surgery

Although surgery is considered to be the first step of treatment in any form of tumor, but its feasibility depends upon the type, size and location of the tumor. It is not necessary that every kind of brain tumor might require surgery.

Indications of Brain Tumor Surgery

  • Diagnosis of the type of tumor by taking a sample of the tumor for laboratory examination
  • Complete resection of tumor
  • Removal of the tumor as much as possible to slow down its growth and improve the symptoms
  • Remove the tumor in order to help other treatment
  • Provide direct access for other forms of treatment like chemotherapy, radiotherapy etc.
  • To relieve pressure caused by tumor on surrounding structures

Types of Brain Tumor Surgery: The different types of surgery that are performed in cases of brain tumor include the following:

Craniotomy: Craniotomy is the most commonly performed procedure to remove brain tumor along with a piece of bone. The removed bone is replaced and the tumor is sent for histopathology (biopsy). The surgery is performed using a high end microscope by any of the following techniques:

  • Extended bifrontal craniotomy
  • "Eyebrow" craniotomy (supraorbital craniotomy)
  • "Keyhole" craniotomy (retro-sigmoid craniotomy)
  • Orbitozygomatic craniotomy
  • Translabyrinthine craniotomy

Shunt: A narrow piece of flexible tube with a pressure regulated valve in between is called a shunt. This is used to relieve the intracranial pressure caused by obstruction of the natural brain fluid, Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pathway by tumor mass. The procedure involves insertion of a drainage system into the brain to remove or drain excess of blocked fluid into the peritoneal cavity.

Stereotactic surgery: This surgery is done by creating a three dimensional image called stereotaxy using computers. It aims to find out the location and position of the tumor. In fact it can also be done to aid tumor removal, implant radiation pellets or for other treatments.

Embolization: It is a procedure used to reduce the amount of blood supply to a tumor by blocking the blood flow in the selected arteries. It is generally performed before the main surgery.

Endoscopy and endoscope assisted surgery: Endoscope is a tool, which helps to closely visualize the tissue through small openings in difficult to reach areas. This tool can be used in various brain surgeries to precisely reach the target location without damaging the adjacent structures.

Adjuvant modalities to improve outcome: In addition to above mentioned surgeries, following surgeries may also be performed in relation to brain tumor treatment:

  • Laser surgery
  • Photodynamic laser surgery
  • Ultrasonic aspiration
  • Fluorescence guided surgery (FGS)
  • Electrophysiological monitoring

PDDM, MHA, MBBS

You can feel weak due to lack of essential nutrients, not getting enough sleep, a weak immune system, excessive drinking, skipping meals, emotional stress, and too much physical labor. Persistent weakness can be caused by health problems like anemia, arthritis, hypothyroidism, a sleep disorder, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and heart disease. In these cases, it is very important to find out the exact cause behind your weakness. To feel energetic and refreshed in life, you must exercise daily for at least 30 minutes, maintain your ideal body weight, follow a good diet, sleep properly, drink water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated, avoid alcohol and stop smoking if you do .

Hello I am suffering from migraine since last 5 years .can it be cured through medicines or any therapies.

MBBS, MD Psychiatry, DNB Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Nagpur
Migraine is a relapsing kind of headache. The treatment of migraine is mainly done for relief from acute headache attacks and later treatments to prevent future relapses. Treatment of factors which tend to cause relapses is also important. There is no drug of choice or as such a best medicine for migraine. Treatmnet has to be individualised after taking into consideration patient factors and the history of migraine in the patient. For long term relief and prevention of relapses, consult a headache specialist an psychiatrist for a complete evaluation and treatmnet.

She has to continue drugs for epilepsy throughout pregnancy for smooth running of it because uncontrolled epilepsy can affect mother and baby badly. Again, we need to check whether drugs levels are adequate or not in pregnancy. Now, miscarriage is different issue- that needs thorough investigations to diagnose the cause of it and then start treatment.
