1.Take crocin 500mg one tablet sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2.Apply volini gel twice daily 3.Give warm compress locally 4. Take rest If you have recurrent attack of neck pain a)Take X ray cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b)Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading or working on computer. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest, use soft pillow while sleeping c) Do physio therapy and neck exercise d)Consult me for further advice

Hello lybrate-user ji I applaud to your Nobel gesture of donating blood to save life. Sorry to hear you got a pain after that. But let me assure you the pain would not be due to blood donation but some other etiology generally anyways you should take vitamin b 12 and calcium supplementation and if required iron supplementation if still pain persist kindly let me know so that we may investigate properly and treat accordingly.

If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with Interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. Apply ice for the pain to get subsided immediately. If you cannot go immediately for the physiotherapy treatment. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.

How many times can one take isabgol. I use it at nights off and on before going to bed since I am prone to constipation, indigestion and bloating and find it useful in cleaning my bowels. Is there any other alternative which can be tried safely. Prefer home remedy since doctors at times tend prescribe heavy medicines which can have side effects.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Isabgol is safe you can take it 2-3 times a day in a glass of warm water - for a smooth motion have more of fibrous foods in your diet like fruits (2-3 per day), vegetables including green leafy & seasonal ones, whole grains including whole wheat, brown rice, oats, corn, barley, legumes including beans, lentils, pulses, peas, sprouts, a handful of nuts like almonds, walnuts, pista, cashews, peanuts, also have a figs, monacco for proper motion - have plenty of oral fluids including 8-10 glasses of water per day - also do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming for 10-20 min, also do yoga & deep breathing for proper digestion - sleep well for 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep & wake up time fixed, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime, do not lye down for 1-2 hrs after meals.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Haemorrhoids or piles are the rectal vein engorgement and protrution to the rectal canal. This may happen due to portal venous congestion, intra abdominal pressure, chronic constipation. Etc. I had a lower back injury since last 6 months for which I have been doing exercises told by physio but them it's been almost 6 months now the pain is vanishing very slowly slow than I expected and sometimes I feel a pinched sensation and little pain still sometimes maybe because of my daily activities is there anything to be worried will it cure automatically by resting and exercises or there might be some serious issue as sometimes the pain is still there towards left side from the center of lower back please help thanks I got the x ray done but the ortho said only to take rest and gave me an ointment to apply on back but it's been 6 months and pain is still there though little but there.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

I am 22 year old. 24 days ago I got a jerk and soft tissue damage in my right knee while playing football and I got a plaster but the recvry is not done. While doing smthng or trying to push anything there is severe pain in my knee on the medial aspect. Wat should I do. And will it affect my sports for a longer period?

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari syrup and capsule twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

Sometimes if you have organ issues pain can be referred from that but it should resolve once the stone is removed. It is also possible that you have a disc or nerve irritation that may be overlooked so consult a good spine specialist to get accurate diagnosis.

Dear the fractures unite in about 3-4 months, while the plaster is given for only few weeks, so have patience, do hot fomentation, apply some local pain killer gel/balm and support the hand with an elastic bandage, do exercises as advised by your dr./ physio. And take a pain killer sos i. E. Only if your pain is too much. I am sure you settle in a week or so. Take care.
