By birth I had problem with my left leg. It was twisted. I got operated within 6 months of birth. But as I grew old, my right leg is much healthier and stronger then left leg. Look wise my right leg is fatter then my left leg. Over time I have also problem of varicose in my right leg. Please suggest me ways so that both legs look symmetrical & proportional.

Hi for varicose veins. *wear compression stockings. *take care of yourself like *exercising. *staying at a healthy weight. *elevating your legs. *avoiding long periods of sitting and standing. For left leg consult physiotherapist and start exercising.

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and mannual therapy will help in painfree movement. Best wishes.

Myopathy is usually a progressive disorder but sometimes it is self arrested. Do physiotherapy to prevent contractures & deformities. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Following may help inj dinabol 25 mg im weekly x 6wks. You will need other supportive medicines also. This disease does not affect the intelligence of the patient use your intelligence. You can work on computer etc. Keep your moral up.

Hello according to your condition you have to take hot water fermentation through towel and do it 3 times in a day duration-15 min along with stretching and back exercises like straingh leg raising, bridging with -20 min repetition -5 sec hold do it for 3 days sure you will get well soon take care.

My age is 67, I have continuous pain in both foot since last one year. I have taken different kinds of massages and treatment but it has not helped me. I have tried by dipping my feet in hot water bucket and also tried with foot vibrating machine. All efforts have gone waste. Kindly suggest some remedy for my problem.

Apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 twice a day after lunch and dinner. Take maharasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Avoid tea. Coffee. Junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Take green vegetables. Drink juice. Eat fruits. Drink 7-8 glass of water in a day. To manage new sciatica pain, you may find that certain positions and activities are more comfortable than others. The proper exercises from a physiotherapist will help reduce sciatic pain. The exercises recommended will depend on what's causing the sciatica. It's important to work with a specialist who has experience working with people with sciatica. It's also important to do the exercises exactly as directed. Here are some home treatments for sciatica which you can follow: -do not bend, lift, or sit in a soft, low chair; the pain will get worse. -try a cold pack to see if it helps the pain. If you don't have a cold pack, use a large bag of frozen vegetables; it makes a good first aid cold pack. -after the cold massages, try alternating with heat from hot bag. -you may feel better lying on your back on a firm surface with a pillow under knees. Another option is lying on side with a pillow between the knees to keep the back straight. Also, a recliner chair is helpful. -do activities one is able to tolerate. Best wishes.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Inform after 10 days for further guidance.

Sir, i am 43 years old service man. Working in cement factory and nature of job is mainly working with computer. From last 3-4 months I am suffering with abnormal streching problem in neck and arms. Also feels uneasy at the time of walking as unbalancing like vertigo. A eight day physio course have been taken by me few days back. But after relief for three days, I feel again stiffness in head and neck and suppose to use stemetil regularly. Kindly suggest me proper remedy. Is it cervical or some thing else. Hello lybrate-user. Do contrast bath regularly for 10 days and twice daily. I. E take hot water in one bucket and cold water in another bucket, then dip you legs first in hot water for 3 minutes and then immediately in cold water for 1 minutes and repeat this proced. Ure for five minutes. This will increases your blood circulation and removes all waste products and then do calf muscle stretching.

I got a ligament tear in my ankle around a year back. But it healed on its own. Now whenever I extend my ankle beyond a certain distance while playing it tears again. It had healed 3-4 times but it is not happening this time? What should I do?

if the ligament injury had been a complete tear then it wouldnt heal spontaneously and that would give rise to recurrent instability symptoms. if you have pain and a sense of giving way in the ankle then you would need a proper orthopaedic examination. you may be advised a course of physio or surgery depending on the examination findings and imaging results
