The ipill was taken bit late. Best take within 12h. Ipill can delay the next cycle by 10-15 days. Wait for another week and repeat the pregnancy test if still periods don't come. Earliest changes in pregnancy are darkening around the nipples with increased sensitivity. Some giddiness and nausea may come early morning.

Safe period is from day 1 to 7 and day 21 to the rest of the cycle, when you can have sex without worrying about getting pregnant (The average menstrual cycle is 28 days or a little less, but if your cycle is longer than 28 days, the safe period is not reliable). You had contact in the safe periods so you need not to worry about pregnancy or implantation bleeding, it is your normal mens.

If you have regular periods of say 28 to 30days, and other tests like tubal testing, semen analysis and hormones are normal, the you can maximise the chance of pregnancy by keeping natural relations between10th and 17th day of periods.

Hi recently my wife got operated for ectopic pregnancy on 15th Aug 2016. She had her 1 tube removed since it was not possible to abort the baby without that. Now my questions are Her drain pipe is removed and the stitches are removed as well. So when can we start to have intercourse again? Will there be a problem in future if we want to plan for a baby? What are complications that can occur due to removal of 1 tube. Thank you in advance for your advise.

hi lybrate user, you should plan for next baby after 3months, that is after November. other thing you can have intercourse after 6weeks from surgery. since one tube is removed chances to conceive naturally will reduce. you should identify cause for ectopic pregnancy as to prevent recurrence of the ectopic pregnancy. you should plan pregnancy after complete evaluation in order prevent further complications.

Symptoms, Stages and Treatment of Endometriosis

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology - Ireland, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Symptoms, Stages and Treatment of Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition where the endometrial tissue lining the womb, grows outside the urethral lining. This can cause severe pelvic pain and a host of other complications, if it is not treated on time.

Here is everything you need to know about this ailment:

Symptoms: Owing to the location of this tissue and its painful protrusion through the lining or walls of the womb, one of the earliest and most painful symptoms experienced may include severe cramps and pain during the menstrual cycle. Also, the patient will experience pain in the lower abdomen region about a week before the onset of the cycle. Heavy bleeding as well as infertility may be experienced in such cases too. Sexual intercourse will also give rise to pain in the region, while discomfort will be felt during the bowel movements. Pain in the lower back will also be experienced throughout the menstruation period.

Stages: There are several stages of this disease and its progression, each of which will require a different form of treatment. These four stages usually depend on the location, size, depth and number of the endometrial implants within the body of the patient.

  1. Minimal Stages: In this stage, usually there will be small wounds and lesions as well as shallow implants on the ovaries. Inflammation in the pelvic cavity can also be felt in this stage.
  2. Mild Stage: In this stage, there will also be light lesions and shallow implants which will spread over the ovaries as well as the pelvic lining.
  3. Moderate Stage: In this stage, the implants will dig deeper into the ovaries and the pelvic lining, which will result in the growth of even more lesions.
  4. Severe Stage: As the name suggests, in this stage the patient will experience deep implants along with lesions in the bowels and the fallopian tubes.

Treatment: There are varied forms of this treatment including pain relief medication for minimal to mild stage patients. Also, hormonal therapy with the help of supplements may be prescribed. Hormonal contraceptives may also be used. In such cases, medication like Danazol, Medroxyprogesterone, Gonadotripin releasing hormone agonists, and other such elements may be prescribed. Conservative surgery and radical surgery may follow, depending on the severity of the condition. Laparoscopy is the preferred form of treatment in such cases.

A hysterectomy can be conducted as a final resort where the surgeon will remove the cervix as well as the uterus of the patient. This will make pregnancy impossible for the patient, thereafter. To stem estrogen production, the ovaries will also be removed.

One must discuss all risks and complications before going in for a certain form of treatment for this ailment.

Hi Ramula, it is very difficult to tell you without examination to stop which tablet, better to consult your gynaecologist. Breathing difficulties could be due to some allergy or remote possibility of thromboembolism which is emergency situation.

Hello I am 31 years old I delivered a baby 2 years ago n was having gestational diabetes during pregnancy. After delivery it was gone but wht precautions should b taken not to get the diabetes in future.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, Type-2 Diabetes is a lifestyle related problem, so making a few lifestyle changes can lower the chances of developing type 2 diabetes. -Excess weight is the single most important cause of type 2 diabetes, so control or reduce your weight if you are overweight! -Avoid sedentary lifestyle and start get moving. Brisk walking for a half hour every day reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. -Modify your diet: *Choose whole grains and whole grain products over highly processed carbohydrates. The bran and fiber in whole grains make it more difficult for digestive enzymes to break down the starches into glucose. *Avoid sugary beverages which have a high glycemic load, and drinking more of this sugary stuff is associated with increased risk of diabetes. *Choose good fats instead of bad fats. Good fats found in liquid vegetable oils, nuts, and seeds. Trans fats or bad fats are found in many margarines, packaged baked goods, fried foods, fast or junk foods. *Limit intake of red meat and processed meats. Nuts, seeds, beans, tofu, or poultry are much more healthful protein choices. -Quit smoking. -Moderate alcohol consumption decreases the risk of type 2 diabetes. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress or tension! And keep an optimistic attitude in life! Medication: Take homoeopathic SBL’s Diaboherb medicine/ 3 times a day daily. Home Remedies: Dry the leaves of mango tree and grind to a powder. Mix 1 teaspoon dry powder in a glass of water and drink it daily to reduce high blood sugar levels. Take 2 teaspoons of bitter gourd (karela) juice once a day. One can also increase its use as a cooked vegetable. Take 1 teaspoon of Indian gooseberry (amla) juice mixed with 1 teaspoon of bitter gourd juice twice a day.

Mind-blowing Oral Sex - 10 Tips for it!

Mind-blowing Oral Sex - 10 Tips for it!

Shying away from your desires and inhibitions is not good for your mental health and it is also important that we communicate to our partners about what we desire. Oral sex is a sexual activity, in which the mouth and tongue of one partner stimulates the genitals of the other partner. Oral sex is supposed to be pleasurable and fun for both the partners. However, you must keep in mind that HIV and sexually transmitted diseases may spread through oral sex; so consider using a condom. Also, it is not compulsory for you to let him ejaculate in your mouth.

Mentioned below are a few ways you can blow your partner's mind in bed without even having sexual intercourse.

  1. Take control: While giving a blow job is fun, exploratory and playful, it is also very empowering. You are in charge and in control of his pleasure. Before taking him in your mouth, touch him sensually and spread some flavored lube on his shaft that is safe to consume.
  2. Let yourself linger: Do not be in a hurry. Savor it and make him squirm. Dirty talk is a great idea and heightens the excitement and pleasure.
  3. Avoid gagging: Unlike pornography, research concludes that couples enjoy a lot more when they avoid gagging or deep throating. Gagging puts both the partners out of mood.
  4. Explore underneath: It is very important that you stimulate the frenulum which comprises of a bundle of nerves. Flick it slowly with the tip of your tongue and halt every time you hit the erogenous spots.
  5. Take a lick: Sexologists believe that licking the penis (just like you lick a popsicle) is incredibly arousing and gets him worked up. It also sustains the excitement.
  6. Be enthusiastic: It is important to convey your genuine enthusiasm. If you are enjoying the act, let him know so he can receive more pleasure.
  7. Spice it up: Get a bit naughty and he will worship you in return. Studies say that with increase in arousal, pain tolerance also increases. Dig your fingernails into him or tighten your mouth's grip around his arousal to intensify the act.
  8. Try teeth: Gently scrape his shaft with the surface of your teeth and trail it with your tongue. This is unbelievably sexy.
  9. Pop an ice: Create a tingly sensation in him by drinking cold water or sucking on an ice cube just before you take him in your mouth.
  10. Make some noise: Not only does moaning turn him on, but it also adds to your excitement. Vibrations to create a pleasurable sensation. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a sexologist.

Sir my wife is pregnant from past 5 months is it safe to have vaginal or anal sex in this time. please suggest me.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Yes vaginal sex can be practice during pregnancy. After 5 months of pregnancy one needs to change the position of male partner. Intercourse can be practised in male standing position or sideways position. Male partner should not lie on the tummy or growing fetus. Anal sex is not good for both of you and for the baby also. Anal sex can expose its participants to two principal dangers: infections due to the high number of infectious microorganisms not found elsewhere on the body, and physical damage to the anus and rectum due to their fragility. Risk of injury to the woman is significantly higher because of the durability of the vaginal tissues compared to the anal tissues.
