knee Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. hip Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation. .

Apply ice packs, keep leg elevated and apply crepe bandage. If pain reduces in few hrs, then ok, orelse consult an orthopaedician.

Its very severe pain as per your description. Does she hear cracking sound when she moves her knees? She should get x rays of her knees. Both knee AP view ( single leg weight bearing x ray ) Both knees lateral view, Skylline view for patella. If there is some problem, we will come to know from these x rays and treatment can be advised accordingly.

It could be due to bad posture while working. Maintain proper posture while doing any work and it should subside in a day or two. Tip for a good posture " pull back your shoulder tips so that they are behind your ears. Dont put your head forward to compensate the position. Your head should be in its place and only shoulders pulled back.

Hello, please send me your all investigation report to rule out increased or decreased level of uric acid or anything else. This is may be due to overweight or deficiency of vitamin d3 and calcium or due to poor posture. Till then follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. I can explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques, if interested. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.

You most probably have osteoarthritis. The diagnosis needs to confirmed. If in fact you have osteoarthritis then you need to be assessed for comorbidities and need to be put on an intensive exercise program with control of pain using safe pain modfiying medications instead of pain killers. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

1. Heavy meals must be avoided as they take a long time to digest. This may exert undue pressure on the lower back region. 2. While sleeping, lie straight on your back or with bent knees supported by a pillow. 3. Do some light sciatica exercise such as light walking and jogging. Do not exercise if your condition is extremely painful. 4. Taking hot and cold compresses on an alternate basis can be quite helpful in relieving pain. 5. Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag).

I had fever 4 days back. Had been to a General Physician and they suggested some medicines. I have severe knee joint pain and ankle joint pain from 4 days. I shared the same to the GP and she told it is viral fever. The fever came down after a day itself. However the joint pain is still there. I am a breast feeding mother. Lybrate-user ji you are right you have chicken guniya. But do not worry you wil be alright in 2 months. But after you become alright you wil have to reduce your weight. Acording to your height your weight should be less than 67 kg. So reduce it by minimum 11 kg. For that you can join a gym.

Maintain your posture that when you sit, sit like a proper way, back supported. Don't lift heavy weight in oak ward position, use proper bed, do some back streching,& strengthening exercises. If you have severe pain go for orthopaedic & physiotherapy sessions.
