Not in a Mood for Sex? 5 Easy Ways Change that!

Not in a Mood for Sex? 5 Easy Ways Change that!

5 Simple Ways to Get in the Mood for Sex

A lot of factors can act as deterrents to getting into the mood for sex. You can be too tired, you may not be happy with your body image, or you may be overburdened with work to even think about getting in the mood. However, sex is an important part of your life and neglecting it could have several negative impacts on your relationships. Here are 5 proven ways to get you in the mood in no time.

1. Make Yourself Feel Good

A lot of people focus so much on their partner that they forget to take care of themselves. You need to make yourself feel happy and desirable if you want to be in the mood for sex. Buy some new underwear, read some good erotica, take a long steamy bath, and do all it takes to make yourself feel good– as when you feel good about yourself, you feel attractive, which can get you in the mood.

2. Relax

Stress can bring down your libido to a great extent.  When you’re stressed, sex can feel like an activity that only adds to your stress levels. If you want to get into the mood, try relaxing first. You can try getting yourself a long, hot bath in the tub, or you could light a few candles and incense and fall asleep to soothing music. If you want to share an activity with your partner, you can go for a couples massage. Even just taking time out to cuddle can do wonders for both your relationship and your libido.

3. Get Adventurous

Creative foreplay is a great way to get you in the mood. You can use a huge variety of things to spice things up in the bedroom. From ice, candles, belts and ties to foods like cherries, cream, bananas and chocolate, think of incorporating them into your ‘playtime’. Tell each other your deepest, darkest sexual fantasies and then play them out. Take naughty pictures and send it to your partner throughout the day. His or her appreciation is sure to get you in the mood instantly.

4. Get Close

Have designated date nights where you go out with your partner and spend time on your relationship; or plan out a short weekend getaway together. These activities will help in physically enforcing the emotional bond you share with your partner. One of the things that many couples forget to do is flirt with each other, which can be a healthy way to keep the fun alive in your relationship on a daily basis.

5. Try Masturbation

Sometimes, you just need some quality “me-time” to get you back in the mood for sex. Whether you’re a man or a woman, some space to play out your fantasies in your head is all you need to get back in the game. You could masturbate just enough to get aroused and then ask your lover to join you, or you could simply take care of yourself to feel attractive and wanted again.

You need to wait patiently this month as your cycles have possibly been disturbed because of frequent intake of I-pills. Use condoms for protection instead interim and the consider regular pill intake like novelon.

My wife is 47 years and she has entered into menopause stage. But occasionally she gets into" Light Period" symptoms. The discharge is light and lasts, at times for a day and disappears, only to show up after 3 or 4 days. Sometimes this repeats after a month when there is a small discharge and no further. What this can be due to and how to over come this discomfort?

Hello- this kind off symptoms are faced by most women in their early fifties due to menopausal changes in the body physiology. You can understand this by a simple example, as when a pipe is connected to a tab and later when you close the tap, the water output from the pipe decreases gradually and finally after dribbling it ceases completely. Still you can use these safe ayurvedic medicines- a) dashmolaristha 2 tsp twice daily. B) tab chandraprabha vati 1 twice daily.

This should be considered as a normal menses. Sometimes because of stress and hormonal changes, menstrual flow can reduce. I can see there is some weight gain, which is likely to be the reason for less menstrual flow. Control ur weight as it can affect ur childbearing. It can all be associated with PCOD, which can be diagnosed with the ultrasound.

40 days is the time for internal organs to come back to normal size, uterus before delivery though it reaches the levels after 10 days but elasticity is not like before. Reason 6 weeks after a normal delivery is called post partum period. The woman is most sensitive, including mind and body. If she continues to feed the baby, uterus becomes normal soon. Bleeding is for first 10 days as red fresh blood, slowly it changes color to brown and then becomes yellow discharge. But bleeding fresh after 10 days needs to be investigated for retention of some piece of placenta/ membranes. Do observe for few days more, if it is just spotting, ignore it. Remember that she can get infected too during this phase. Do tell her to feed the baby. Not to take heavy supplements like dates, jeera, heeng, perinorm tablets, unknown ayurvedic products for feeding. Eat a high protein diet like milk and curds. Avoid heavy physical work.

To detect the cause of your problem you need to do some blood tests and ultrasound of pelvis. After which you may need medicines if any report is abnormal. But you should first test urine for pregnancy if there is such chance.

Hi lybrate-user, yes their is possibility of pregnancy after ipill in about 1-3%. In your case this type of period delay is due to hormonal imbalance caused by ipill. Please share details of clinical history like period pattern, last period date, when you had ecp for further guidance.

Hello, no, it is not accurate simply because urine pregnancy test is sensitive only after 8 days post missed periods. However as you have taken ipill, so the withdrawal bleed should ideally start in next 7-10 days, so be patient. If in hurry, then please get a serum beta hcg test done to get conclusive results as on date.
