Weight loss is not single day process.Along with workout you should follow a proper diet.Avoid fast foods,junk foods,processed foods.Avoid sugar,sweetened juice,cola beverages,soft drinks.Avoid smoking,alcohol.Eat small amount of foods.Take more protein foods as these helps in weight loss.Use coconut oil in cooking for weight loss.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Use lukewarm water 5 mins after meals.Take proper rest

Dear lybrate-user. Your upcoming tummy clearly show that the extra calorie is being deposited in your body. But it is being deposited in wrong way and in wrong place. Join a gymn quickly. Tell your trainer that you want to gain muscles in arm and chest but want a flat tummy. Do the exercise as you will be instructed. On the other hand eat protien rich food more. Avoid fatty foods. Don't eat to the fullest of your stomach. Go to sleep after at least 1 hour after dinner. Follow these rules for at least 3 months. If no change is noticed after 3 months then you would surely need a consultation.

you can give her tab. thyronorm 0.25 mcg before meal in morning. IN HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Hi lybrate-user firstly, start doing surya namaskar in morning and start eating triphla chooran (natural medicine) in morning empty stomach with luke warm water. Start a fruit dieting every alternative day, means you have to eat fruits every alternative days & normal fruit every other alternative days. Avoid late night dinners and try to eat nothing after sunset. Sit in vajrasana after every meal you eat for 10 minutes. Walk atleast 30 min in morning.

Hello you need to understand the concept of weight loss, it requires cut down in calories (under the guidance of dietitian) along with exercises like brisk walking or cycling or yoga and stretching or any sport you love 5 days a week for at-least 25-30 mins. Include foods like green tea, lemon water, jeera water, salad vegetables like onion, tomato, cucumber, kakri, cabbage and fruits like melon, watermelon, plums. Avoid fried foods, carbonated drinks, sweets and processed foods. Drink plenty of water. Take small and regular meals like 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Take chamomile tea before going to bed. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Start your day with a cup of green tea, an apple and 5 almonds soaked overnight. Thank you.

For a normal weight reducing diet, the quality of food is reduced as per the reduced calorie restrictions. Emphasis is given or more roughage and liquids. The following items are deleted:- a) butter, ghee and coconuts chutney. B) fried food items. C) egg yolk. D) high calorie fruits like banana. This diet provides about 1000-1200 calories and 40-45gm of protein. For height: foods those can help to increase muscle mass are protein rich and a well balanced diet. We recommend exercise regularly along with good stretching and have 1.2 gm of protein /kg of body weight. Include tofu, paneer, egg white, chicken, fish, soya flour and some plant proteins like sprouts, broccoli, green leafy vegetables and bean salads to cover up your daily requirements of protein. Make a right combination of carbohydrates, proteins and fats to achieve best results.

First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times dailydaily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised.

Dear patient, as you said you have both around problem as well as arteritis we need to know the exact range of your hormones to determine whether it is hypothyroidism or hyper thyroidism depending upon the thyroid levels we can diagnose the disease and accurate treatment can be given. And don't think of losing your weight right now as it is impossible to lose your weight as your having thyroid problem, I guess you have hypothyroidism as you have put up on weight. Find the second problem as you mentioned as you are having arthritis, it could be osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Definitely homoeopathy can help you to come out of these diseases. Sedentary lifestyle causes energy disbalance in our body leading to obesity. Tips for weight loss: 1. Have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs interval instead of 3-4 large meals only. In between balanced main meals-(comprising of a whole grain, whole legume/egg/fish/chicken, low fat dairy, whole fruits, vegetables, salad); include healthy snacks in between- coconut water (w/o cream), whole fruit, roasted makhana, roasted chana (unsalted), nuts & oilseeds, soup, stew, buttermilk, salted lassi, green tea. 2. Drink 3 litres water daily 3. Avoid junk, fried, processed, preserved, sugary foods & drinks, alcohol. 4. Replace simple carbs (sugar, jaggery, honey, maida, sago, cornflour, arrowroot flour, potato, biscuit, cake, white rice, white bread) with complex carbs (whole fruits, vegetables, salads, whole grains-atta, dalia, suji, oats, millets, barley, brown rice, atta bread, quinoa, whole legumes-sprouts, soyabean, pseudo cereals-rajgira, makhana, & nuts, oilseeds). 5. 3.The weight gain in the body is due to the more of the calories in your diet than you burn in the whole day. One should eat balanced diet comprising of Carbohydrates-50%, protein-40% and fat 10% in right ratio with a maximum of 1500-1800 calories per day. To keep satiety at meals increase your protein and lower your cabs content, these wills the amount of food in next meal and thus decrease calorie consumption. Good choices of protein to be opted are: •Egg white •Sprouts •Mushroom •Oats •Chicken and fish Drink plenty of water and do not include high density source of calorie rich snacks like nuts and seeds. Yes,   Pay close attention to your food choice. ·    Eat less carbohydrate food sources like chapatti, rice, noodles, pasta, bread etc as they help in gaining weight and storing fat. ·    While having lunch or dinner eat vegetables and dal to fill your stomach rather eating lots of chapattis or rice. ·     Have a healthy breakfast like poha, idli, upma, plain dosa, oats, dalia or khichdi with vegetables. ·        Eat a balance diet including good quality proteins like: fish, lean chicken and eggs. If you are a vegetarian then include skimmed milk, low fat paneer, butter milk, soy bean or soy milk in your diet. ·        Avoid ghee, butter or vanaspati. Prepare your diet with vegetable oil like sunflower, safflower soybean or olive oil. ·        Eat plenty of salads. ·        Eat fresh fruits including apple, orange, pineapple, papaya, sweet lime, berries, guava, watermelon, mask melon etc. ·        Avoid eating outside junk and fried foods like pizza, pasta, roll, burgers, cakes, chocolates and cookies. ·        Have an early dinner.
