Hairfall can be due to number of reasons such as: - prolonged/ severe illness such as typhoid, tb, major surgery - pregnancy/ lactation - crash dieting, anemia - hormonal imbalance - hypothyroidism, pcod etc - intake of drugs such as some antihypertensives, anticoagulants - deficiency of various essential nutrients. - in males, it could also be because of genetic factors and dht cause should be treated. Also, you should: - take diet rich in iron, calcium and proteins - use mild shampoos only - do not use excessive chemicals on hair - also, avoid procedures such as ironing, hot air blow drying of hair, rebounding etc.

Hello mam. Good to know that your diabetes is well controlled. But it would had been great if you could had provided us with the values. Hye. Thankyou for your query. Usually stress, inactivity, poor eating habits, skipping meals are few reasons people gain weight. There’s no overnight fix when it comes to healthy weight loss, but you can adjust your lifestyle to promote quick, natural weight loss for the benefit of your health and your appearance. Successful, long-term weight management needs to focus on more than the food you eat and the pounds you lose. It needs to focus on your overall health. Reshape your body and your lifestyle by adopting healthy habits and breaking unhealthy ones. Replace all processed foods in your diet with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds and seafood. Focus on the variety of whole, unprocessed foods you can eat instead of dwelling on the junk food you eliminated from your diet. Eat smaller portions at every meal and avoid going back for seconds. Take a smaller scoop of rice, half of a piece of chicken instead of a whole piece and one less egg in your morning omelet, for example. Make time for breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast helps prevent overeating and is a habit of people who successfully lose weight. Pack to-go meals instead of eating convenience foods when you’re not home. Store foods like chopped fruits and vegetables or cooked grains, legumes, eggs and meats in your refrigerator so you always have something to grab when you’re in a rush. Buy fresh vegetables and fruits from the grocery store if you forget to bring healthful food from home. When you can’t avoid dining at a restaurant, opt for a salad as a starter, and always ask for the dressing on the side. Which face wash did you use. It might not be suitable for your skin. Try this - use tea tree face wash and toner twice daily. Use aha glow face wash once in a day. Use sunscreen with spf 30 daily. Use natural face pack of multani mitti and lemon 2 times a week. You can also use apple cider vinegar for 5 minutes after washing your face and splash it clean with water. Most important is diet- do not eat junk, eat more vegetables and fruits especially with vitamin c.

My tsh level now reduced to. 97 from 10.49 within 2 months. I am taking 50 mg thyronorm. Whether I should continue this dose or change it. please suggest me. And suggest any diet to maintain this level.

Seemaji, tsh level of 0.97 milli units/l is good. Ideally on treatment tsh should come down to 3 to 4 milli units/l. Your level is a bit lower than that. You may look at reducing the dose by about 12.5 mcg per day. But tsh level should be checked after 6 weeks to see if that dose is adequate or needs any adjustment. There is no special diet. You will have to avoid soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, peanuts, mustard and coffee. Should use more of whole grain flour for roti and chapatis, no refined flour like maida or items made of that. Avoid high fat milk products. Also refrain from alcohol and smoking. Plus daily exercise of 1 hour a day is a necessity. Thanks for the question.

Hello, These are some home made tips to get shiny and strong long hair. *Massage the scalp for 10 to 15 minutes after bathing with water. This stimulates the blood circulation and strengthens the hair follicles *Massage the scalp and hair with coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel. Leave it for ½ hour, and then rinse with warm water. Repeat 3 times a week. *Massage into the scalp and hair honey with egg yolk. Leave for a 1/2 hour, then rinse. *Massage almond oil on scalp 2-3 times a day, daily. This will stop further hair loss. *Rinse hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea to help hair grow *Make a shampoo by mixing 100 g each of amla (Indian goose berry), reetha, and shikakai and boil in two liters of water until the liquid reduces to half. Use this shampoo for your hair for at least one month. Your hair will become thick. *Mix equal amount of warm castor and almond oil and massage over scalp at least once a week. *Make a hair pack by mixing amla (Indian goose berry) powder with one egg. Apply it to your hair and leave for half an hour. Wash hair.

Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Strict water input and urine output chart is necessary. Avoid coconut water, banana like fruits. Carry on previous medicines. 1.Protein is the key for the muscle building. Without adequate protein, muscle gain and growth is not possible because weight training demands for amino acids (which comes from protein). You should daily eat about 2.2g of protein per kilogram of your weight. For example, if you are 70 kg , then you should eat 70x2.2=154.40 g of protein spread over 5-6 meals in the day. Include high protein foods in your diet. Your protein intake should be from foods rather than from supplements. Good protein foods: beans,soybeans, whey, fish, dairy products (low fat variety), meats, nuts and seeds (almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds), peanut butter. Many of these are easy digestible foods. Milk is one of the best muscle foods. The milk contains two high quality proteins, about 80 percent whey and 20 percent casein. Whey is quickly broken down into amino acids and absorbed into the bloodstream. Whey is very good to consume after workout. Casein is digested more slowly and provides the body with a steady supply of protein for a longer period of time. Cheese is concentrated milk, so it is high in protein and calcium, fat and cholesterol. Include healthy skim yogurt in your diet, which can give you as much as 120 calorie. 2. Eat custard apple (Saripa, Sitaphal) . This fruit is high in calorie. 3. Healthy fats: Avoid fatty foods. Most mothers, especially in India give too much ghee or butter to their children, thinking they will put flesh fast. But ghee is mostly saturated fat which is not a healthy fat for any body. Healthy fats are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids. Good fats: cold pressed oils (olive, sunflower, linseed, canola ). 4. Drink pure fruit juice. It is full of sugar and added nutrients so it is healthy and nutritious . 5. Eat bananas. These are rich in carbs and nutritious, one banana contains approximately 100 calories. 7. Some people think that drinking beer helps, but it is not true, it accumulates in your abdomen, making it fatty. Don't take protein supplements.

Hi, please follow these tips to stop snoring: - reduce your weight if you are obese. - perform pranayama (breathing exercises) everyday. - quit smoking which irritates the mucosal layer of the nose and throat and causes blockage and results in snoring. - quit alcohol and sedatives which relax the throat muscles and results in snoring. - sleep on sides instead on back. - elevate the head by using a thick pillow which eases the breathing. - clear the nose before going to bed. - establish regular sleep pattern. - keep the bedroom air moist by using humidifier; as dry air irritates the mucosal membrane in the nose and throat. - perform throat exercises like repeating the vowels a, e, i, o, you loudly for 2-3 mins few times a day or keeping the tongue behind the teeth and moving it backwards - 3-4 times a day. - anti snoring appliances can also be used.
