Hi. The most important point for hair transplant is the type, pattern and stage of hairloss in your case? in male pattern hairloss of initial stages of 1-2, homoeopathic medicines can arrest the stage where it is already in. But in advanced stages of hairloss of 3, 4, 5 - one can have homoeopathic medicines (3 & 4 stage) along with hair transplant. Hair transplant is a procedure where one's own hair follicle from the back side of the scalp (donor area) is taken air tout from the root and is placed on his own required area (because of dna reasons, we can't donate hair follicle to each other, not even to our own kids/ siblings/ parents). And in the whole lifetime, we can only take to around 12000 to 14000 follicles from the back (depending on the condition of the donor area) - it's one day procedure. Go to any renowned hospital, clinic or firm which deals only in hair (they may cost little more from you, but will give you a quality results ultimately. And they only allow plastic surgeon to perform this)! cost differs from one doctor to another (from rs. 40-50 per follicle to rs. 80-90 per follicle). No. Of follicles depends upon requirement of your scalp and capacity of your donor area (back side of the scalp which is never ever affected by dht) as well. For eg. For stage 1 - may be 2000-2500 follicles are needed, so you can calculate accordingly. Precautions before and after the procedure are - stop smoking/ drinking few days before and after the procedure, need to tell the surgeon about medications you are already taking, will have to wear surgical cap (to avoid getting infections) for 2-3days after the procedure. Hair transplant improves your looks, in many cases old looks are back again!

My hairs have turned grey before age. Is there any possibility to turn them black?

Diploma in homeopathy, B. Sc
Homeopath, Gurgaon
The combination of pollution, lack of exercise and a nutritious diet are the main factors. Your diet must include a glass of juice (any juice), fresh fruits and a full serving of salads at every meal: cucumber, tomato, carrot, beetroot, radish, onion slices or spring onion, raw cauliflower, cabbage leaf, sprouted seeds etc. All this is essential to give you a balanced nutrient boost. Cut out any junk food and aerated drinks totally. Generally foods that come out of a packet, or can, or bottle shud be avoided. Exercise to increase circulation:- 2 mins of hard exercise then 1 min rest - do this four times a day. You can either do it all in one go or split it into sessions through the day. In total it is only 12 mins a day so should not be a big issue. A very useful exercise is to jump in one place simulating skipping. Build up your time to 2 mins. Of jumping. The benefits of this is ungaugeable, and cannot be explained medically as yet, it effects the entire body. In conclusion, live and eat healthy and you will develop energy, a glowing skin and a healthy'go' in life -regardless of age. Of course, if your hair is already turning grey or falling, you need to fortify the follicles with meds.

Hello, Laser therapies are popular nowadays, they have become cheaper too. They do not have side effects. Waxing is also an option. Never to use any hair-fall pills, it will be harmful to you. Avoid using steroids to get body build.. that will increase muscle mass but harm your body in all the ways and scalp hairs will fall totally.

Wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface, avoid touching your face or picking up the pimples and blotches as it further spreads the bacteria. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Drink lots of water. Consult for proper treatment.

Here are some queries related to laser hair reduction.

Hi, I am Dr. Nivedita Dadu, a dermatologist at Skinolgy Skin Clinic and today I'll be answering some queries on Laser Hair Reduction.

While most of us maybe thinking that hardcore hairs on the female face are only a cosmetic concern, the truth is that this could be an indication of underlying hormonal imbalance that needs to be diagnosed and treated. Anybody can get hair removal laser males or females but unwanted hair in female requires investigation.

Benefits of hair laser treatment include reduction in hair density and change in hair texture from hard cores dark hair to finer, fewer & lighter hair with longer hair free periods. If laser is being done by a trained dermatologist, take care that all necessary precautions like skin hydration and moisturization are taken and the parameter of laser decides according to your complexion and according to the type of hair and the body part that is being lasered then you can be assured of optimum results with no side effects.

For any further queries, you can contact directly or through Lybrate.

Acne or pimples is a chronic disease involving the pilosebaceous follicles. Sebaceous glands are found most abundantly on the face and scalp, though they are present on every part of the skin except the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. Though the sebaceous gland is a mini organ, it is anatomically and functionally related to the hair follicle. Cutaneous disorders attributed to the sebaceous gland are really disorders of the entire pilosebaceous unit. The areas most commonly involved in acne are the face, upper chest, and back. Other less common areas include the upper arms, buttocks, and upper thighs. Acne arises from the interaction of 4 factors 1. Excess sebum production caused by androgenic stimulation of sebaceous glands; 2. Outlet obstruction of the sebaceous follicle arising from excess production of keratinocytes (the basic cell of the epidermis); 3. Increased proliferation of the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes that normally live in the sebaceous follicle; and 4. Inflammation caused by sebum escaping into the surrounding skin. Excessive manipulation by the patient, causing the primary lesions to disappear and leaving excoriated, raw-looking marks. This is called acne excoriée and can cause scar formation. For removal of black marks you can apply pure coconut oil daily before sleeping, don't apply while going out in sun together with this constitutional homoeopathic treatment will give you best results.

Because of the steroid prescribed for the lichen planus it is affecting the sugar. Check whether she is having the steroids for lichen planus. Lichen planus can easily treated by homeopathy. Get her for regular walking and exercise which will benefit her a lot to overcone the problem. Steroid increase sugar and ultimately high sugar will increase more itching. So avoid having drug which will increase sugar.

Ian getting infection (on body rashes and itching) very regularly 0n 3 months gap what is the reason?

MBBS, DNB (Dermatology)

Ian getting infection (on body rashes and itching) very regularly 0n 3 months gap what is the reason?
Itching is a normal body response to protect us from harmful external substances or parasites such as insect bites. There are many possible causes but for some people with pruritus no obvious cause can be found. Pruritus may be localised to one area or generalised over the skin. Most common cause of itching is dry skin.  It may also be caused by medicines or by internal diseases affecting the body. When pruritus occurs due to an internal disorder, we have to treat the disorder first as most of the time it will cure the itching as well. If the itching started after you started taking  particular food items then prick test can be done to find the cause of allergy. A few general measures like avoid scratching the affecting area, applying cold compresses go a long way in reducing the itching. Avoid using any over the counter anti itch creams as they may increase your problem moisturizers if they are not suitable to your skin type.

Homoeopathic medicine FOLLICLEAN ( WELLMAN) it contain 2 bottles...INTERNAL and EXTERNAL INTERNAL FOLLICLEAN DROPS.....drink 15 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily EXTERNAL FOLLICLEAN DROPS....Apply 15-20 drops in any oil preferably HAIR GROWTH OIL ( WILMAR SCHWABE INDIA) on roots of hairs with your fingers. No brisssssk massaging required.Leave overnight nd wash next day with MONTANA SHAMPOO ( SBL) minerals, and proteins, which are all important for the health of your hair and scalp. Castor oil: • helps with hair regrowth and hair loss, • makes the hair richer and darker, • prevents split ends, • treats dandruff and dry scalp, • moisturizes the hair and makes it shine, • works in an antifungal and antibacterial way and can prevent problems such as ringworm, and folliculitis. How to apply castor oil It’s best to use castor oil as a hair mask. This is particularly helpful if you’re trying to regrow hair or give it more moist and shine. 1. Castor oil has a thick consistency, so you can mix it with coconut oil, olive oil or jojoba oil in a half and half ratio. This will make the mask easier to distribute throughout your hair. 2. Use your fingers or a brush and start applying it onto your scalp with circular motions. This gentle massage increases the blood circulation, rejuvenates the hair, and stimulates hair growth. 3. Part hair into sections and apply the oil (mixture) to each section until all your hair is covered properly and evenly. 4. Wrap your hair in a warm towel (you can also use a shower cap) and leave it for two to eight hours. You can also leave it over night. This will give the oil enough time to penetrate the follicles and hydrate your scalp and hair thoroughly. 5. Wash your hair as usual using shampoo and conditioner. Make sure you rinse all the oil out of your hair. How often should you use castor oil? This depends on your objective and type of hair. If your aim is to treat hair loss, you will need to do it at least twice weekly, but even better if you can do it three or four times per week for several weeks. For split ends and increased shine, you can use the oil as a conditioner once weekly. Be careful not to use too much of it (a pea-sized amount should do) or you can end up with an over-oily scalp. For best results use unrefined castor oil, as it contains more nutrients and healing properties.

Hi, Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash 2 to 3 times a day daily (wash your face with warm or lukewarm water only) which is followed by CTMP, i.e. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) except at night when you just need to wash your face before going to bed. -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as this affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8 hrs. Of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and breakouts of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3 times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). Home remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days.
