Hello Danish, You must take a Vitamin D course for almost 3months which comprises of injections and tablets. Along with it also take a high calcium diet.Sun bathing in early morning sun light is the key to bone fitness.

1. Get knee x ray done 2. Start with Physiotherapy treatment 3. Learn knee exercises 4. Don't sit on floor 5. Wear sports shoes only 6. Do hot fermentation twice a day 7. Apply volini cream before sleeping 8. Take calcium vitamin D 3 and Glucosamine supplement for one month minimum

Definitely there is good treatment in homeopathy So try that. Surgery is last option. But in most of the cases it is not even required.

Mr. Lybrate-user, the problem as described appears to be plantar fasciaitis. This occurs due to inflammation of plantar fascia. Occasional pain killers are useful. But most importantly certain exercises like standing on toes, walking a few steps on toes, stretching the ligament by pulling the foot towards you while keeping the lower limb straight, with a belt and holding it in that position for 20 counts, doing the same for a number of time daily, can help. Spot jogging on toes can also help. Using soft foot wear is also useful.

avoid strain like long sitting, standing. do hot fomentations and put a towel roll under knee and press for 10 second then release repeat 10 time twice a day. if it work then OK otherwise physiotherapy treatment must

Sir, I am having problem of cervical from 11 years. Cervical myelopathy with secondary canal stenosis with disc bulge at c3-4-5-6. Doctor said me for surgery at cervical nerve. Is surgery 100%safe? Hello lybrate user, we need to see the mri plates in order to interpret the condition properly. Cervical myelopathy if so severe as to cause urinary retention will need to undergo assessment and planning to decide between conservative versus surgical management of the patient god bless you.

Kindly show me digital x rays of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, hand & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Take rest for few days. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. Get your blood checked for cbc and for pain take tablet paracetamol and also start with tablet folvite twice a day for a month and revert back after completion

For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and For loosemotions drink ors solution and to stop the frequency of motions take capsule roko and Avoid spicy food in your diet and eat only curd rice or khichdi and if necessary we should take prescribed antibiotics

I had a fracture on the right hand shoulder. There was a operation of the shoulder. After six months that is the operation I had on october 2014. Now it is may, 2015 I am cannot completely lift the right hand and also cannot do all work with the right hand. There is some pain after I when I lift the right hand upwards. Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days.

Osteoporosis is a disease wherein the bones become very weak and fragile. People with osteoporosis have an increased risk for fractured bones, even from minor falls or accidents.

It is always considered that elderly women are prone to osteoporosis, but this is not true. Damage to the bone starts at an early age. In order to maintain strong and healthy bones and prevent osteoporosis, you need to take certain precautions from an early age. Follow these 15 tips to improve your bone status and avert osteoporosis.

1. Milk and milk products
Include a healthy proportion of low fat milk and milk products (cheese, yogurt, paneer, skimmed milk powder) in your meals. The calcium and proteins in the milk makes the bones strong and healthy.

2. Nuts
Having a fistful of nuts daily provides one's body with the required minerals like calcium, magnesium, manganese and phosphorus. Almonds and pistachios in particular are good sources of calcium.

3. Vegetables
Include brocolli, chinese cabbage, cauliflower, beetroot and okra in your daily diet to strengthen your bones.

4. Ragi
Ragi has around 330 mg to 350 mg of calcium per 100gms of dry weight which makes it one of the most sought after cereal for improving the bone status.

5. Dates
Dates are particularly good sources of calcium with manganese. Copper and magnesium helps in improving the bone mineral density.

6. Sunlight
Some amount of sun exposure is required to produce vitamin d beneath our skin. Vitamin d along with calcium helps in strengthening the bone health of individuals

7. Fruits
Include fruits like like oranges, guava, strawberries, and pineapples etc, these fruits will provide vitamin c to the body which in turn will strengthen our bones. Also include banana and apple.

8. Dark green leafy vegetables
Though dark green leafy vegetables are touted as one of the major means for improving one's calcium status.

This one could be tricky because spinach has good amount of calcium but the presence of oxalate prevents the absorption of calcium.

Instead opt for collard greens, mustard greens, methi, amaranth, mustard green and turnip greens for getting enough calcium in the diet.

9. Pulses
100gms of black gram dal (urad dal) has around 200mg of calcium. Also soyabean, horsegram, lima beans and lentils can be included in one's daily diet to get the required quota of calcium.

10. Egg
Eggs are a good source of many minerals. Eggs are one of the only foods that contain naturally occurring vitamin d.

11. Physical activity
20-30 mins walking daily helps stop further weakening of bones. Weight bearing exercises such as low impact aerobics, stair climbing, running, skipping helps to strengthen our bones.

12. Calcium fortified foods
One can rely on calcium fortified foods (orange juice, soy beverages, tofu products, rice milk, etc) these days to ensure that they are getting enough calcium to support a healthy structure.

13. Omega 3 fatty acids
These can have a positive impact or even prevent serious degenerative illnesses rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.

One can get omega 3 fatty acids from various seeds like pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds or fish oils.

14. Calcium supplementation
Opt for calcium asparginate or calcium citrate tablets to improve your bone structure.

15. Fish
Deep water fishes like sardines, salmon, tuna and mackerel have good amounts of calcium and other minerals. These fishes when consumed with their bones increase the calcium three folds.

Also a word of precaution - cut back on cigarette smoking and excessive alcohol intake as it depletes the calcium levels in the body. Also cut back on your salt consumption and avoid salty foods as it leaches the calcium out of the bones.

Backpain at young age is due to muscle strain resulting from improper posture or disc degeneration. You can follow these simple tips to get relief. If problem persists you will have to consult. 1. Sit with straight back and change posture in between. 2. Take breaks in between work and walk. 3. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily. 4. Take simple painkillers like paracetamol if pain is persistent. 5. Apply analgesic cream over back followed by warm fomentation. 6.Keep pillow behind your knees at bedtime. 7. Do not bend and lift weights. 8. If back pain is accompanied with radiating leg pain or tingling , numbness or weakness, consult your doctor immediately

Hi = relax and stay positive. = increase fluid intake. = eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = do streching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = if you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = do check your calcium and vit. D = apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still you dont get relief see a physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation. Best wishes.

Hello- here are some tips to protect your cervical spondylitis- about 90 per cent of the population will suffer from back or neck pain when they reach adulthood, says a/prof tan. When it comes to the back, prevention is best. 1. Take short frequent breaks away from the computer. 2. Sit up straight on and off every 10-15 minutes, periodically stand up, 3. Walk around and stretch every hour. 4. Do regular stretching and strengthening exercises. 5. Keep the top of the computer screen at eye-level. This way you will be looking down at the screen at a 15- to 20-degree angle which is less strenuous on the neck. Adopt a good sitting posture sit upright and make sure both the feet are on the floor, and the elbows, knees, hips and ankles are at a 90-degree angle. Place a cushion against the back of the chair to support the lower back. When typing for prolonged periods, sit close to the table and rest the elbows on the table to relieve stress from the shoulders and neck.
