Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3 months. Revert.

Include more proteins in your diet. Pulses, sprouts, milk, cottage cheese/panner, are rich in protein. But work out is the best option and the most effective option. But it weight gain or weight loss there is no escaping work out.

Advice... Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

do regular exercise, daily massage your body with Tila ( sesame) oil, take proper diet,milk,cows ghee in regularly,fresh fruits,dry fruits,green vegetables,protein rich food, proper sleep, avoid late night work,overexertion,excessive tea,coffee,cold drinks,chilled water,foods kept in fridge,fast food,bakery foods.

Dear Doctor, Last week my wife slips down on wet floor. She has strained the back part of the thigh and it has developed a blood clotted patch of say 4 inch diameter. It is paining her. There is no swelling as such but a discomfort is there. We are doing light massage with hot mustard oil and healthy. ALSO WE ARE SPRAYING A DEEP HEAT ON IT. Kindly advise what to do for getting a relief from pain while walking. It is something like rupture at soft part of the thigh back.

Please avoid massage You can just use spray for pain if clot comes will take min 15 days and upto three weeks If you wish to be more sure then get basic ultrasound done to look for amount of collection may it require needle aspiration by atleast 18 G needle Also feel free to consult surgeon if her pain increase Same time I must say you she is very lucky that no bone injury Please use antiskid slipper since with time we forget what happened but this simple mistake can take bidder shape in future be careful I wish her fast recovery.

If you are underweight and really want to gain couple of kilograms to the current weight, I recommend trying some of these suggestions..Dont go for major changes in your diet a it will make thing worse for you.Start aiming small goals and move forward . Find the one that is suitable for your needs and use it every day • Banana milk shake • Banana 3 times a day • Muskmelon, 3 times a day • Mango with a cup of milk, or mango milkshake • Raisins, 30g daily • Dried figs, 2 times a day • Bran (100-150g) with fruits, ideally papaya • Fruit diet with milk • Cup of hot milk with some honey • Cup of milk, boiled with some almonds, anjeer and date palm • Mixture of white muesli powder, Indian ginseng powder and pomegranate seed powder put in a glass of milk or water and drink for a month • Eat more fatty foods (bitter, flour, rice honey, raisins, figs, dates, etc.)

Kindly show me photograph of the affected part--knee. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

Hello if you want to be energetic after office you should follow certain parameters from morning 1. Wake up by 6.30 2. Drink 3 glasses of water 3. Walk or jog for 45 min 4. Do not skip breakfast. 5. Have a healthy breakfast with a fruit (papaya, watermelon) 6. Mid day-11 o clk -sprouts, green tea/nuts/biscuits 7. Lunch -chapati or rice with thick dhal vegetables, salad and curd 8.4 pm-tea with biscuit/rusk 9.6. 30 pm- cut vegetables /buttermilk/ fruits/soup 10. By 8.15 dinner 11.10. 30pm -go to bed drink plenty of water and in office do not sit in a place for long, keep moving whenever possible, use stairs all the best. Get started from tom.

Pain and aches are common symptoms of anxiety. You should relax. Have a relaxing and de-stressing lifestyle. It includes early morning awakening, regular yoga/meditation, daily morning jog/walk, taking healthy diet in the form of plenty of fruits, salads & sprouts, evening sports/workouts, adequate socialization, rest and recreation. You may download few relaxing music or instrumental music to listen in leisure time. If above mentioned measures are ineffective then you may be needed to be prescribed medicines by a psychiatrist. Hi lybrate-user for weight gain 1st of all increse your digestion power so that you can digest every heavy food. Take kishmish (soaked in water over night) in morning and take some medicine like ashwagandha 50 gm, shataveri 50 gm, mishri 50 gm, mix all three in equal quantity then take 1 tea spoon after meal with milk. And chew chitrakadi vati 1 tab 3to 4 time in a day.

High esr/crp suggests chronic infection. It is better to avoid blood donation. Get yourself thoroughly checked for any infrection and get treated.
