My teeth is not straight. What should I have do my teeth straight? Please help me.

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
You can go for orthodontic treatment for your teeth as there are many options with braces or invisible braces like ceramic braces or invasilgn. You can also go for veeners if you want only upper front teeth to be straightened out.

After a getting a root canal and crown in my two front top teeth. I think my tooth are loose. Not the crown, the whole teeth. Does this happen normally. If not. What should I do.

BDS
Dentist, Kolar
Rct doesn't cause mobility of teeth. Mobility'll b due to periodontitis. Get scalling n deep cleaning done. Use mouthwash regularly. Maintain oral hygiene n take care food lodgement doesn't happen around your crowns.

I am 44 years old. Am facing acute sensitiveness in my teeth. Specially the front two teeth on the upper jaw. Cannot bite on anything, there is discomfort and pain. ONe of my upper teeth broke recently, have not had refilling done. Is it because of this missing teeth.

BDS
Dentist, Kolar
This could b either due to sensitivity due to loss of enamel surface or due to decay of tooth. Tooth decay can b treated by filling of tooth or by rct n capping of the decay is deep. Sensitivity can b reduced by using desensitizing toothpaste such as senquelf or sensodyne toothpaste by rubbing some amount of toothpaste onto your tooth surface n wait till 5 mins before rinsing it off. Get your teeth evaluated by dentist to know the cause of your problem n get treated accordingly. Regards.

My 14 year old sister looks alot older and is very tall (5,11) we went to get her teeth x-rays and they did not show the normal teeth of a normal 14 year old girl, they showed teeth of a 20 year. Always gets mistaken for an adult. Should we take her to a doctor or something?

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
There's nothing to worry about that if might be growth hormones. You should consult a physician or more precisely endocrinologist. For proper diagnosis of working is glands. As far teeth are concerned. Just visit a dentist for cavities assessment. As you are telling about the x-ray it's just eruption of teeth. Physical states teeth should be okay. Thanks.

Generalised paining of teeth is due to gums. This might be the intial stages of gums. Once go to the dentist and get cleaning the teeth and ask the dentist for massaging paste for gums.

I have bad breath. Is mouth freshener/mouth wash effective? Is scaling effective? I am 32 years old male.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, Halitosis, also called bad breath, is a symptom in which a noticeably unpleasant odor is present on the exhaled breath. Of those who have genuine halitosis, often the odor is caused by bacteria present below the gumline and on the back of the tongue. Rest of them is accounted for by many different conditions, including disorders in the nasal cavity, sinuses, throat, lungs, esophagus, stomach or elsewhere. Very rarely, halitosis can be one of many symptoms of a serious underlying medical condition such as liver failure; but, in the vast majority of cases, the cause is minor and can often be reduced by adjustments to oral hygiene, including brushing or gently scraping the back of the tongue and improving the health of the gums by using dental floss. The intensity of bad breath may differ during the day, due to eating certain foods (such as garlic, onions, meat, fish, and cheese), smoking,[12] and alcohol consumption. Since the mouth is exposed to less oxygen[medical citation needed] and is inactive during the night, the odor is usually worse upon awakening ("morning breath"). Bad breath may be transient, often disappearing following eating, drinking, tooth brushing, flossing, or rinsing with specialized mouthwash. Use SBL’s Homeodent toothpaste twice (morning & night) a day daily. Mouth fresher/ mouth wash will definitely is a solution for bad breath! Scaling is effective for any calculus or plaque formation which encourages growth of bacterias!

7 years back I hurt my front tooth. 3 years back I dropped my mobile phone on the gums of the same tooth. Slowly the tooth color changed. One month back pain started in the root of the same tooth. I've taken an x-ray, the abscess appear to be spreading to the root of next tooth. Can this be treated without disturbing the shape of my tooth from outside?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
In such a case , Root canal treatment is the only option. Please do it as soon as possible before the infection spreads. After RCT or root canal treatment the tooth will become weka and may break. So it is necessary to reduce the size of the tooth and place a cap on top of it. So the shape of the tooth will have to be altered , but you can use a cap which resembles the natural tooth as much as possible. The only other option will be removing the tooth completely. So at least you can save some of the natural tooth structure by doing an RCT.

Hello, you can apply baking soda over it or do baking soda in water mouth rinses. This will help to heal ulcers. If they still persist, you need to consult a physician and get your Vitamin B level checked. If required, take supplements for it.

Hi, There are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently. I have pulp polyp. Went to a dentist. She said that its in my molar (deciduous tooth) she said that its my milk tooth and the permanent tooth did not came even when I am 19 now. So that's why I have problem of pulp polyp in my tooth. She said that I will have to pull out that teeth and to fill tha gap I should get braces. Is the reason by this doctor justified?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
The pulp polyp is remedied by curetting the new connective tissue mass from the pulp holding cell and also carrying out endodontic therapies on the remaining tooth root structures, assuming the interradicular ground remains undamaged. Extraction can be an accepted remedy alternative. There is absolutely no malignant change and the lesion is not going to automatically regress. Leaving a pulp polyp without treatment can lead to a number of problems. Contamination of the adjoining gingival tissue mass and also abscess could appear. The harmful bacteria might spread to additional healthy teeth leading to other cavities to create, leading to the requirement for more dental treatments. Finally, the teeth might end up being too affected to restore and the impacted teeth might have to be removed.

Hi, vitiligo is a skin disease in which there are white patchy areas on skin. It does not occur in mouth. If you have white patches in your mouth, the condition is completely different. We will need photograph of your lesion so that we can know what it is and treat accordingly. Regards.
