How I remove plaque from my teeth? It is yellow in colour and it looks too bad when I am talking with someone.
I am 59 years old. For the past two years I have some obstruction in the sub mandibular salivary duct which causes severe discomfort on my cheeks. The lymph node under the jaw swells immediately. This is not permanent. Comes on and off and settles by itself. Sometimes there will be slight swelling under the ears. CT scan taken. No obstruction noticed. Not able to identify what triggers it. Doctors only suggest chewing gum. Sour candy and massage. They do not recommend surgery also. Can you suggest any treatment that can relieve me from this discomfort? Thanks.
What if you have tooth decay?
If you have developed black or brown spots of decay on your teeth either in the fissures or on the smooth surfaces and it is associated with discomfort and / or sensitivity to hot and cold and / or frank pain, it is likely that you have tooth decay. Your dentist will evaluate you comprehensively and based on his clinical and radiographic findings he will do one of the following;
1. Make an opening in the crown and remove decay, shape the cavity and fill it with a tooth colored filling or an amalgam filling. This could also be done under local anaesthesia.
2. If the decay is very deep and the pulp (nerve, root canal) is involved in the decay process he will, under local anaesthesia go deeper into the pulp chamber, remove the pulp and the nerve, render it free of infection, do a root filling and later put an amalgam or a tooth colored filling. Subsequently he will put a veneer or a crown on the tooth as the case may be.
Hallo I have a partially erupted impacted wisdom tooth and cleaning in between has been hard. Should I have it removed and are there complications likely to arise?
I am getting ulcers very frequently now a days and this is happening at a regular basis. Could anyone please assist me and provide me a best cure.
1. Brushing Too Hard can actually do more harm than good
2. Many of us clench our jaws unconsciously and grind our teeth while we sleep. This can cause tooth fracture and may also damage dental work
3.Try to remember that your teeth can be delicate and easily broken.Use your teeth for chewing and smiling, and leave the other work to the tools.
