Please tell me that if I'm suffering from eye migraine, then is there any way to stop it permanently. And what are the treatments for ocular migraine (eye migraine)?

MBBS
General Physician, Kendujhar
Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this- 1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor(Neurologist)and to rule out other pathological disorders do an MRI scan. 2) Discuss with your Doctor about preventive medications like (Amitriptyline) and you need to take it regularly. Do follow lifestyle modifications like this - 1) Try to avoid triggers. If certain foods or odors seem to have triggered your migraines in the past, avoid them. 2) Try to reduce your caffeine and alcohol intake and avoid tobacco. 3) Make a daily routine with regular sleep patterns and regular meals. In addition, try to control stress. 4) Do exercise regularly. Regular aerobic exercise reduces tension and can help prevent migraines. If your doctor agrees, choose any aerobic exercise you enjoy, including walking, swimming, and cycling. Hope that helps.

My Dad is suffering from Sleep Apnea and Snoring, please suggest something. He has already taken CPAP Machine but Dr....
It depends upon BMI of the pt. If the pt is very obese and he is okay with cpap. I ll recommend you to continue that. Before operation you need to undergo following tests sleep study drug induced sleep endoscopy these tests reveals which is the site for snoring. After these tests we ll decide the treatment. Normally we do a operation called UVPP. Cost varies from hospital minimum 50k.

Low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR Chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. Anemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. Back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR chappels which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. Sacral Vertebrae. That is where the Sciatic nerve passes by and the nerve gets compressed that's the reason you have pain and sensation is disturbed. Pain in the left side of the leg/thigh The compression of the sciatic nerve should be around the right side that's the reason you have pain in the left side. That's the reason you cannot sit or stand and it is exactly around the L5 vertebrae where the sciatic nerve passes by. It can also be due to the strain on the left leg, try wearing MCR chappals which would help you to get relieved from pai Physiotherapy Treatment If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with Interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. Apply ice for the pain to get subsided immediately.

C) instill 3-4 drops of CHANDANADI TAILA in each nostril at the time of sleeping…… Do all these things for 15 days. It gives you good result. Consult to me for further suggestions. THANKS.

There is no known medication which can lead to life time recovery in Parkinson disease. Syndopa is not a pain killer, it only replaces dopa in body which is deficient in patients of Parkinson disease. Long term usage of syndopa can lead to certain expected side effects and in that case you need to consult your neurologist so that dose of medication can be modified. Yes, cycling, walking and yoga will be helpful for your disease and it is advisable that you should continue with same.
