One year ago, my ankle of right leg fractured. The doctors did operation and injected the steel wire/rod in my leg to support my ankle. Now my leg is in good condition then I can walk and run now. So my question is that, should I remove that steel wire/rod from my ankle now or after which time?

MBBS, Diploma In Orthopaedics (D. Ortho), DNB (Orthopedics), MCh Ortho, MNAMS (Orthopaedic Surgery)
Orthopedist,
Hi, the implant can be removed after union of fracture site and not before two years of surgery to avoid unnecessary chances of infection of implant, implant failure etc.

Masturbation is a normal healthy activity and will not interfere with your hormones or any other body functions. However it is advisable to indulge in it only when you are sexually aroused.

I am doing masturbation 3 times in a day I want to leave it please tell me how to leave?

I am doing masturbation 3 times in a day I want to leave it please tell me how to leave?
Performing masturbation in itself is a healthy and quite expressive way to satisfy one’s natural sexual desire. However sometimes this masturbation becomes an addiction and disturbs the personal and religious life of individuals. In that case taking action to control over performing this act becomes necessary. Here are the best ways on how to quit masturbation. Remove all the sources that trigger the urge to perform the act of masturbation such as block the websites which allows access to pornographic content. Some toys which trigger the body sexually to perform masturbation must be removed. Try to avoid staying up until late night. Avoid taking hot showers which may also trigger the urge to perform masturbation. Getting socially active is one of the important factors for controlling and quitting masturbation, as living alone promotes the activity of masturbation especially if a person is heartbroken with his relationship. Getting in a social group fills up the leisure time so that the person can optimally control such thoughts. One of the most important things is to try not to touch the intimate part of the body. To ensure this, spend more time in good company and not alone. If any other friend is also experiencing the issues, then it is always a good idea to quit the relationship or friendship. Masturbation also results due to excessive body stress or tension. Exercising regularly helps in relieving the body stress and tension. It is recommended to increase or double the exercise when a person feels depressed or stressed. Try to make the body to adapt abstinence. Initially try not to perform masturbation for a day, then gradually moves to days then weeks.

Gerd is gastroesophagial reflux disease. Reflux is due to abnormality in antireflux mechanism either due to functional or structural problems. Structural problems like large hiatal hernia needs to be corrected doing surgery otherwise it recurs. Reflux for long is bad for health as it can give rise to serious health issues in future if neglected for long. Avoid chocolates/ tea/ coffee/ ice-creams/ overeating at night. Dinner should be light and early. Go to sleep after 2 hours of taking dinner. Lie on your left side as it prevents refluxes. Place 2 pillows beneath your head at night. Avoid late night sleep. Consult a specialist for antireflux medications.

High Resting Heart Rate is Bad!

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine, Post Graduate Program in Diabetology
General Physician, Delhi
High Resting Heart Rate is Bad!

Data show people with a high-normal resting heart rate of 80 to 99 beats per minute had shorter lifespans than those whose BPM ranged from 60 to 69, but researchers suggested increased physical activity may mitigate the effect. The study, presented at the World Heart Federation's World Congress of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Health, showed being active was associated with longer survival, and researchers said exercise may reduce the overlooked risk of a high-normal resting heart rate.
