Sir, myself I am a footballer that's why I do physical work to develop my game as I run 10-12 rounds even more daily of a field of 500 metres, a lot of stretching, 5 times sprint of 100m n a lot of many other exercises in the morning. Including push-ups, sit-ups n so on. N in evening I play game of 1 to 2 hours but my stamina is not improving at this speed according to my hard work, I also taking good diet according to me. So please give me some tips to improve my stamina.

Hello, you need a balanced pattern of meals in which complex carbohydrates,vitamins and minerals and high quality proteins are taken. Check your hemoglobin levels,if they are low you need to have concentrated proteins and iron rich food.

Dear lybrate-user. Drinking enough water is always good for improvement of metabolism as well as proper functioning of body because body is 80% water. Drinking water is a must. Along with that exercise, proper diet, proper sleep, stress free mind etc contributes to good health. Take care.

Symptoms And Treatment Of Osteoporosis And Gout

Are you aware of the health conditions - osteoporosis and gout? Both these conditions are associated with your joints and bones. They are both difficult diseases and require proper treatment.

Osteoporosis concerns the bones, in which the bones are at a risk of breaking due to decreased strength. This condition is quite common in elderly people with brittle bones.

Gout is a very painful form of arthritis and is featured by joint inflammation. The pain and inflammation occur due to the deposition of urate crystals in a joint when uric acid is present in excess in the body.

Osteoarthritis-

Symptoms:

The symptoms of osteoporosis include pain and stiffening in a joint and swelling in the joints, especially in the thumbs, neck, knees and lower back. A patient’s skin may turn red and he may feel unusually hot.

Treatment:

Combined treatments are prescribed for osteoarthritis. Treatment aims at improving joint function, maintaining a healthy body weight, reducing pain and achieving a healthy lifestyle. Regular exercise is important for reducing pain, increasing flexibility and for improving blood circulation. You should take measures to lose weight in order to reduce the stress on the joints which bear weight. You should take sufficient amount of rest along with proper sleep. There are other alternative therapies for osteoarthritis treatment without the use of prescribed drugs. Hot and cold therapy is ideal for easing pain and increasing blood flow. Some forms of massage therapies are also ideal for giving relief to osteoarthritis pain.

Gout-

Symptoms:

There are several symptoms of gout, which occur all of a sudden. Intense joint pain is indicated and the large joint of the big toe is especially affected. It may also occur in the feet, ankles, knees, hands and wrists. The joint discomfort may last even after the intense pain subsides. The affected joints get swollen, arm, red and tender.

Treatment:

The treatment for gout aims at relieving severe pain and preventing future gout attacks along with long-term complications. The treatment methods include medicines and several home cure methods. Specific treatment is also prescribed based on the intensity of attacks and for preventing complications. As a part of long-term prevention methods, you should keep on taking your prescribed medicines, manage your body weight, exercise regularly and limit your intake of meat, seafood and alcohol.

Osteoarthritis and gout require timely diagnosis and treatment if you want to prevent them from worsening. You should consult a doctor on experiencing any symptom of gout and osteoarthritis.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points ( if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos., both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3months. Revert.

Hi..Include some form of proteins in your meal like milk and milk products..vegetarian should have dhals while non vegetarian should include chicken..fish..and eggs in their meals.. *check your vitamine B12..D3 and iron levels and add a suppliments in case the levels are insufficient.. *keep a check on your thyroid as hypothyroidism can cause fatigue.. Reason is unhygienic food,junk food,bad climatic conditions...etc avoid tea,coffee,junk food,spicy food,fermented food.. walk for atleast 30 minutes a day... avoid alcohol consumption,smoking and non veg.... drink lots of juices and plenty of water... eat green vegetables and salads.... do pranayama early in the morning... sleep for atleast 7 hours...

Hi, Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase your dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.

I am 22 years old, I am facing the problem that my right eye is weak and I am not able to see clearly from it and also that I moves little off the direction from my left. I am facing strabismus. Your might be suffering from lazy eye or amblyopia as we call it. Your eye surgeon should be able to tell you the cause. If it's refractive error use glasses as prescribed. If eyes already lazy at your age it's difficult to regain full vision but strabismus can be corrected to improve cosmesis.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference?

Transforming yourself from skinny to strong requires more than a few visits to the gym. Gaining healthy weight requires as much focus and dedication as losing it. especially if you want most of that gain in the form of sculpted, lean muscle. Don't resort to garbage foods in an attempt to pile on the pounds faster. Plenty of calorie-dense, healthy foods are the best support for your efforts to gain weight. Step 1 Eat five to six times per day. Aim for at least three full meals and two smaller, but still calorie-dense snacks. Step 2 Increase the calorie density of every meal with healthy foods. Supplement foods by adding dense items like nuts to milk . These additions add between 500 and 1,500 extra calories per day -- enough to gain 1 kg per week. Step 3 Have an extra serving of protein at meals to support muscle growth.You can also include salmon and other fatty fish high in omega-3 fatty acids, which will boost your calorie intake. Hye, thanks for the query. Being underweight can be a concern if it's the result of poor nutrition. Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, rice and cereals; fruits and vegetables; dairy products; lean protein sources; and nuts. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes. Snack on nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruits. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of cake or ice cream is fine. But most sweets should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Sheera, lassi and chikki are good choices. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite.

Hye. Thank you for your query. You are overweight by 5 kgs. A healthy lifestyle involves, choosing a balanced diet and healthy eating plan. A healthy eating plan: Emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products Includes lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts Choose foods low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars A healthy eating plan that helps you manage your health includes a variety of foods you may not have considered. If" healthy eating" makes you think about the foods you can't have, try refocusing on all the new foods you can eat—  All seasonal fruits are great. Vegetables ― try something new each week, as per season. Commit to going to the green grocery and trying a new vegetable each week. Calcium-rich foods ― not only milk but curd, paneer or nuts and seeds and some vegetables and pulses too. A new twist on an old favorite ― if your favorite recipe calls for frying fish or breaded chicken, try healthier variations using baking or grilling. Maybe even try a recipe that uses paneer or soya nuggets in place of higher-fat meats. Healthy eating is all about balance. You can enjoy your favorite foods even if they are high in calories, fat or added sugars. The key is eating them only once in a while, and balancing them out with healthier foods and more physical activity. Exercise at least thrice a week. Any exercise you enjoy or a sport or a hobby like dancing etc will do.
