I am 19 male I got my arms xray done and my bones r fused I m 5 feet 5 inch is thr any use to get some gh shot or steroid shot to increase my height?

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics
Orthopedist, Delhi
Growth plates of bones usually fuse by 18 yrs. Any injection will not increase height of any individual. Fiddling with hormones can certainly cause harm. Dont ever try.

Pimple is a disease that affects the teenagers most and though not critical, it sure makes the social life of a teenager miserable due to its appearance. It is a disease that has pestered the youth from time immortal and has popular home remedies practiced in all parts of the world. The pimples generally occur at face, though neck, back and shoulders are the other most popular body areas to host it. The scientific name for pimple is acne vulgaris. Sebum that is produced by the sebaceous glad keeps the skin and the hair on it moist. Excessive sebum secretion by the sebaceous glands during the adolescence is the main reason for pimple eruptions. A lot of chemicals and medicines are available in the market for the cure of pimples but one can treat the pimples naturally and thus help it cure without any side effects. Some of the natural home remedies for the treatment and cure of pimples? nutmeg powder added to raw milk and the subsequent paste when added on the pimples for about a couple of hours is a very good natural remedy to cure pimples. This is more effective with individuals with dry skin problems aloe vera the wonder remedy for a genre of disease is a good natural remedy. Apply the pulp of the leaves directly on the surface of the pimples. It is anti bacterial and prevents inflammation for more treatment any queries ask privetly.

Homeopath, Raebareli
Please take a dose of acid phos 1 m single dose and revert after 2 weeks. Lifestyle changes 1. Along with a healthy hair diet it is important that you exercise properly as it will ensure that there is proper blood flow to your scalp and will help in the growth of hair. 2. Treat your hair delicately. Avoid unnecessary brushing, combing or handling. Use a soft, round bristles brush. 3. Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles. 4. Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier. 5. Get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair. Also for scar- use sugar scrub to erase pimple marks- this is a simple and easy scrub for healthy, pimple-marks free, glowing skin. It will work as an exfoliating agent and would help you to achieve a brighter skin tone. - take three tablespoons of sugar - 1 tablespoon of milk powder - 1 tablespoon of honey mix them together and scrub this mixture over the face for few minutes and rinse it off after 15 minutes. Consult me for homeopathic treatment. Recommend me by clicking on recommend option and leave feedback.

I am aged 25. I am pregnant of 3 months. How to tace care during twin pregnancy. Give some tips?

DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Bhavnagar
Twin pregnancy requires more care during pregnancy. Avoid heavy work, traveling, staircase climbing. Get your bp checked regularly, get your ultrasonography done at least every 3 mnths. In the last 3 months, you have to take special care. As twin pregnancy usually terminates earlier. So premature babies are possibility. And due to twins, low weight babies are also possible. So take care as to your delivery occurs as near term as possible so that chances of premature babies and low weight babies are less.

Dear Doctor my Son is preparing for his 12th Board and many competitive Exams, he gets panic on exam days, and his study pattern is full day till 12pm night, but morning he wakes up late, what to do to wake up early morning in spite of late sleep, is he suffering from Anxiety or Panic attack,Depression? Please suggest

BHMS

Does he feel fresh and rested after waking up? Some people do need extra sleep to cope up with stress. Doing short meditation or breathing exercise periodically in between his studies could rejuvenate him and he will need relatively lesser number of hours to sleep

Leafy vegetables, such as Swiss chard, cabbage and watercress, contain a small amount of MSM. Raw vegetables contain a higher amount than cooked vegetables because heat causes some of the msm to volatilize. However, you still receive some when you eat cooked asparagus or beets. Those who like to eat alfalfa also receive MSM when ingesting its nutritious leaves.

Miscarriage - Why it Happens?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Miscarriage - Why it Happens?

For a mother, a miscarriage is the last thing she would want to hear. It can pin her down psychologically, leading to trauma and stress in unfathomable measures. To understand miscarriage better, it is a condition wherein there is a loss of pregnancy within the first 22 weeks of getting pregnant. The primary symptom of a miscarriage is bleeding from the vagina. So if you experience vaginal bleeding during this phase, then consult a doctor for further guidance.

Why do they occur?
There are many reasons as to why a miscarriage may occur and no study has been able to put a finger on any one specific cause. Having said that, miscarriages are mainly caused due to the presence of unusual chromosomes in the baby. Chromosomes are genetic material that directs the growth and development of a baby. Chromosomes present in either excess numbers or less can hinder the development of the baby. If the miscarriage occurs during the second trimester (14th to 26th week), then it can be accrued to a health anomaly in the mother. A miscarriage may also occur because of a weak cervix as a weak cervix will not be able to hold a pregnancy. This condition is called cervical insufficiency and occurs when the woman is in her second trimester.

Is it possible to prevent them?
In most cases, miscarriages cannot be prevented. For women who have suffered multiple miscarriages, multiple medications might be required to help with their subsequent pregnancies. Following a healthy lifestyle is recommended as it can minimize the risk of a miscarriage. One must abstain from smoking and substance abuse and limit consumption of alcohol in order to keep the body in optimal condition. It is advised to maintain optimal weight levels and eat a well-balanced diet.

Post miscarriage
A miscarriage is a very traumatic experience for a mother to be; it can be emotionally debilitating. That is the reason counseling can help in times such as these. Start planning for a baby only once the symptoms have subsided and you have also had a period post the miscarriage. It is important to make sure that you are physically and emotionally ready to have a baby. Remember, a miscarriage doesn’t mean the end of the world. One can enjoy a fully healthy and a successful pregnancy even after a miscarriage.

Apply pure onion juice to scalp, leave few hours and wash with lukewarm water. This is permanent home remedy. Better to take homoeopathy medicines to stop hair fall permanently. How long are you suffering from this problem?

My teeth are now fully turned into yellow what can I do to make them white ? On internet it was written that we can use vinegar to make the teeth look white should I try it ?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, use homeodent toothpaste twice daily, morning and night before sleep. Home remedy:- cleaning your teeth with fresh orange peel on a regular basis will reduce the yellow tinge accumulated on your teeth. Rub orange peel over your teeth every night before going to sleep. The vitamin c and calcium in the orange peel will combat the microorganisms throughout the night. Do this for a few weeks and you will notice effective results. If fresh orange peel is not available, you can use dried orange peel powder. Take care.
