I am 36 yrs female, sensitivity especially on the back side of teeth to cold, is it advisable to use sensodyne and for how long. I guess sensodyne is symptomatic relief, does it repair enamel? are herbal toothpaste better than chemical based? kindly suggest.

Sensitivity is directly related to teeth wear away.. That is cervical abrasion( caused by faulty tooth brushing technique), attrition( teething or night grinding habit) or by erosion( caused by intake of aerated drinks).. These can be treated by either fillings or night guard appliance depending on the exact cause.. If left untreated then ends up with RCTs with crown, which is not necessary.. As u knw, tooth paste will just relives the symptoms but not the cause.. So plz do visit the dentist to know the exact cause and accordingly the treatment plan..

You are p[robably under some stress but not aware of it. Meet with a counselor and talk about your feelings. In the meantime please the following recommendations: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food.

Hello lybrate user- medicines available in market for fat reduction are not safe at all, they have a harmful side effect on your heart and kidneys. And weight loss can be reversed too when you stop your medications. >natural methods of fat reduction include proper diet and proper schedule correction. Try these ayurvedic tips- a) avoid short meals like breakfast supper etc. And have two major meals a day only. B) evening meals should be before 7 pm. Hello, Its better if you take them separately. As figs and dates contain good mount of iron and milk contain calcium. They interfere in each others absorption.

To gain some weight, you need to eat healthy. - Take small meals but eat something solid every 2 hours. - Take at least two fruits per day and one glass fruit juice. - Take one peanut butter/cheese sandwich daily. - Eat 20 almonds & 5 dates daily - Drink full cream milk, curd, lassi, chikoo shakes etc. - If your are non veg you can have more eggs, chicken, fish. - Dals have good protein. Have more dals, rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc. - Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen. - No need for any extra supplements. Natural diet is best. - Go for regular walks / exercise / do yoga. Sleep well. - Take deworming tablets every six month. .Feel confident about yourself and be positive and smile.

Your weight is controlled by 4 major factors (1) refined sugar consumption (2) exercise and hydration (3) posture and sitting (4) how many times do you indulge yourself - alcohol, binge eating at parties, overeating etc. Step 01: refined sugar 1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. Step 02: get exercise and proper hydration 1. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water. Step 03: improve posture and sitting habits if you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. Step 04: stop indulging and eat more of raw natural stuff 1. No more than 60 ml of hard liqour or 2 glasses of beer per day. 2. Try to eliminate the urge to overeat but if you do overeat try to limit the incidents to two times per week. 3. Eat 4 servings of fruits per day. 4. Each of your meal should contain 50% of raw vegetables. Once you incorporate the above points in your routine you will see a dramatic difference in your weight, physical shape and energy levels. You will find that there are a lot of companies out there that are trying to sell expensive products to naive consumers in the name of weight loss. These products may not necessarily be good for you. Losing and maintaining weight is something which is totally in your hands, it is easy and it is free of cost if you follow the above mentioned points.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. I am sending the diet chart. Follow it in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. 6. You can try protein powders like endura mass, milk powder, soya protein. And creatinine for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day.

Hi lybrate user, in this age there is no possiblity absolutely for any pathological complaints. Its looking purely psychological. If you are student, then it might be related to stress, either work, or mental, family related issues, any personal problems. If you are thinking more abt those, or wrrying abt any those related issues. Will cause exertion of mind, psychologically weak, depressed. Some times, these all interrelated with lack of sleep, less intake of food, due to low appetite. If its since 4-5 yrs, then you might have seen any psychologist by then itself, evn now also. No problem, you can overcome from all these if you try to put few efforts. Like diverting your mind to some other avocation, whichever you like more like. It could be music. Listening or learning, writing/reading/sports/making trip for just changing the environment, learning any other your interested hobby, working some where at your comfortable zone, as part time or full time,& also. Practicing yoga/meditation/pranayama/breathing exercises[which will be taught in art of living like classes] will help alot to get rid of your problems.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

You are right in drinking lots of water (not too much though). Your diet needs monitoring. Your diet must include fresh fruits and a full serving of salads: cucumber, tomato, carrot, radish, onion slices or spring onion, raw cauliflower, cabbage leaf, etc. All this is essential. Cut out any junk food and aerated drinks totally. Homeopathic rems will augment your diet.

My skin remains dry every time . It feels very irritating . Suggest me some creams so that I could apply and den hope to see the results . As you have mentioned that you are having dry skin. Please inform is there any specific season when you feel your skin is more dry. Hi lybrate-user, firstly go for regular hair trimming to get rid of split ends. 1) well balanced diet with increased intake of proteins like pulses, chicken, milk, eggs, paneer, nutrella. 2) hair treatment: a) oil your hair regularly with coconut oil. Mix 1 egg in the oil and give your oiled hair warm towel treatment. Wash your hair with arnica shampoo. B) do not comb wet hair. C) use wide toothed comb to remove entangles. D) use a good conditioner after shampoo or hair cholestrol to give your hair lustre. E) do not experiment with your hair like blowdry, hair highlighting. F) comb 3-4 times daily, to get rid of dust and tangles.

To clear the burn marks - • Apply one teaspoon Besan with one teaspoon of curd and a pinch of haldi (turmeric) mix it with water then apply for 15 minutes then rinse off it with water. • Apply one teaspoon orange juice or take a piece of orange open it then apply that area for 5 minutes then rinse off it. *Take fuller, s earth (multani mitti) and sandalwood powder (chandan powder) mixed in same quantity mixed in water and apply on the mark in night and wash it after 1 hour. It will slowly removes the marks. *Take a piece of aloe vera. Apply gel of leaves on mark daily. Wash it after 30 minutes.
