Hello Doctor, My Grandfather aged 82 has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. The patient is very week and the doctor ruled out the surgery. Now doctors have started him with Capiibine 500 mg tablet (4 tablets in 24 hours). He is not able to eat much due to nausea and vomiting and also feels very week. After consulting with doctors they have given him Megeetron 40 mg tablet and Ondem MD 8 mg tablets.
Dear Dar Stomach cancer should be treated with surgery as primary treatment It is by chemo sensitive disease Effect of capcetabine without surgery is minimal but side effects can be distressing Magestrol acetate 160 mg is a good option to improve appetite.

My age is 24, I am suffering from breast cancer. May be in 2nd stage, discharge from nipple and bleeding. What should I do?
BAMS, MD - Ayurveda
Ayurveda has got good treatment for cancer. Even if you are taking chemotherapy / radiotherapy/ surgery you can take Ayurveda medicines for good prognosis. But one needs complete case study and then we give Rasayan therapy to treat the particular cancer. Kindly consult for details.
Hi Sir, I had a breast USG done. My age is 26. My report says "a small solid SOL *(10.7 mm × 7.6 mm) noted in upper medial quadrant peripherally at 10. O clock position) (likely to be small fibroadenoma. rest everthing is normal. Please suggest medicine. Is this anything serious? I am using primosa 1000. Is anything else required?
MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS
Can continue with Primosa for a long time. Follow up with USG every 6-12 months. If any increase in size can think of hormonal treatment.

Dear lybrate-user 3rd stage cancer of gall bladder requires complete removal by surgery followed by chemotherapy of 6 months.
I have a lump in my right breast. It does not give me any trouble at all. Can you suggest some medication to dissolve it?
DGO, Diploma In Family planning (UK), MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
If you have a lump in breast it's always better to get a sono mammography or a mammography to rule out any chances of cancer. If it is just a fibroadenoma you could start on so. E medications to try dissolve it .but it will not completely disappear. U have the other option of removing it by surgery.

My father is 65 years old. He is suffering from urinary tract infection and enlarged prostate. The psa level is 127. The serum creatinine test results were as- creatinine-5.5 and urea-153. The doctors inserted urine pipe and gave certain medicine. After 20 days RFT was performed the result were as- creatinine-3.89 and urea-78. What is the current position of kidney?
MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MS - General Surgery, Genito Urinary Surgery
There are 2 things one is high creatinine which might take few more days to come back to normal because prostate causes back pressure changes which leads to high creatinine. Ones it comes down surgery should be done. 2 nd is high psa value. So repeat psa again if it is high then ask your urologist to rule out prostate cancer.
