I am 36 years old. Working as a Designer in Civil Engineer field. My daily works is like sitting in front of laptop since morning to closing of business hours under high pressures. Dear lybrate-user You have to solution to your problem in your question itself. Get off the chair under any pretext to walk around the office. You should drink atleast 5 glasses of water daily. Take breaks to do this. Also, go to the place which is most further to you to drink water to make the walking more possible. Climb stairs, no lifts. Quit dinners and eat boiled veggies instead Start you day with plate full of fruit. Regards.

Hi Lybrate-user, Here are 13 tips for you to get started: 1. Eat a lot 500 extra calories a day = 1 extra pound gained per week. 2. Eat a lot of good things 3. Protein = building block for your muscles. 4. Carbs will help you put on weight, but it won’t be muscle. 5. Keep track of everything you eat. 6. Compound exercises are your friend. 7. Appearance is a consequence of fitness. 8. When exercising, keep your rest between sets to a minute or less, and don’t do more than 12 reps in a set. 9. Let your muscles rest. 10. Sleep. 11. Cardio is your enemy. 12. Make it part of your routine. 13. Realize you will put on some fat.

For weight gain proper nutrition is a must. 1) you can start including more milk, cow ghee, fruits & vegetables in your diet. 2) stop eating junk & processed food. 3) make a habit of consuming one well ripen banana with a cup of warm milk with a tsp of ghee. 4) eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk over night. 5) boost up your apettite by working out daily for atleast 30 mins.

For the past one or two months I am getting pain at my tail bone, it hurts especially when I am sitting on a chair, buses, bikes but if I stand it goes. Secondly my right heel burns like chillies but again it does not when I am walking or standing. It burns worst when I am sleeping and try to get up. But it happens only for a few second or minutes.

Hi Mr. Lybrate-user can notophercantopher, you r suffering from what we term as coccidynia. Or inflammation (swelling with pain) of the tail bone named as coccyx. For relief you need to take sitdz bath i. E take luke warm water in a broad based tub & sit on it so that your buttocks dip in it. For 10 _ 15 mins. Avoid sitting on hard surface & support the tail region with cushion. Avoid riding bike. Sit on front seats in bus. For ankle problems take vit b6 or pyridoxin tablets ones daily wear flat slippers with a soft sole take wa. Rnm water ankle bath at sleep time.

I am 23 years old and I do gyming but don't have protein in my regular diet. Actually I am an outsider so is it mandatory for people doing going to have protein in their diet?

The moment you start going to the gym, whatever is your workout, does not justify taking a protein supplement. Proteins are not stored in the body like other nutrients. Your body will utilize only as much protein it needs and the rest will be broken down for energy purpose which is it's secondary function; main being building/repairing muscles. Depending on the exercise (ie. Strength training/cardio or activities like gymnastics or weight lifting) your body's needs for proteins varies. Although whey is natural and the most easily and quickly assimilated form of protein - it is not needed to be exclusively included in your diet. You have to have a balanced healthy protein rich diet for the supplement to be utilised. Protein need totally depends on your present food intake & activity levels. Include dairy, eggs, pulses, dals, soya, nuts, dryfruits in your diet in orer to avoid deficiency.

Hye, Thanks for the query. If you want to gain some weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. 1. Eat 5 to 6 meals a day In order to gain weight, you need to start eating 5-6 meals a day. However, it is important that you break these meals into parts, as eating a lot at once may result in indigestion. Also, be sure to include healthy foods in your diet for a healthy weight gain. 2. Weight train at least 3 times a week When you train with weights, your muscles grow. 3. Consume more calories than you burn. Eating calories more than your normal intake may not be easy, but you must do it if you want to stop being skinny. Make sure you don’t do it just by overeating at once, but instead do it gradually over the whole day. 4. Work out your entire body A lot of gym goers usually train only the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Make sure you workout your entire body for a wholesome weight gain. 5. Load up on protein As informed earlier, you have to consume more calories than your normal intake every day. You can do this by eating foods rich in protein like dairy, meat, eggs, nuts, dry fruits, pulses, sprouts, smoothies, milk shakes etc. 6. Drink your calories It may be tough to meet your calorie requirements by just eating. Drinking milk, lassi, milkshakes or fruit smoothies with little or no sugar can be a great way to load up on the required calories. 7. Try and eat fast (but don’t choke on it) Your body takes some time to give signals of satiety which is why eating fast can help you eat more. 8. Focus on recovery after each workout Stretching exercises, foods rich in carbohydrates can help recover your body significantly. Also, you should aim for 8 hours of sleep as inadequate sleep can cause several problems. 9. Be patient with yourself Hoping to gain weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Even if you follow all the advice that is there, you may end up gaining just 1-2 kilos in a month. Every body is different, and just because you are not seeing results in terms of weight gain, you shouldn’t feel discouraged. Living healthy by eating the right diet will make you feel better and more positive about life and increase your strength. 10. Believe in yourself.

Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

You should tell that which diet you r taking at present. Also inform if you have any digestion problem. You should do exercise daily and walking 3 to 5 km daily. Drink plenty of water atleast three to four ltr. Daily. Semi solid die t fibre food fruits salad etc. You should take daily. Avoid junk and oily food.

1. It could be due to stress, anxiety, inadequate sleep, late night sleeping, excess physical and mental exertion. Avoid this 2. Drink plenty of water 3. Take adequate rest 4. Check your hemoglobin, bp 5. Get yourself examined by physician and follow the advice and treatment.

Don't let more than four hours go by without eating. Eat several foods at once. Eat healthy, but dense foods. Drink your food. Eat right before bed. Take ashwagandha churna with water twice a day take banana milk shake. Take pranacharaya karsyatanashak capsule twice a day. Take sleep after taking meal drink lots of milk and eat lots of milk products. Like butter. Ghee. Eat sweets.

I advice you include protein rich food in your diet n like soyabean, egg, milk nd milk products combination of cereals and pulses, sattu with milk, sprouts and take heavy breakfast.
