Teeth may gradually become yellow due to aging, hereditary factors, poor dental hygiene, or excessive consumption of tea, coffee, tobacco and cigarettes. In addition, high doses of antibiotics, climatic conditions, infection and improper metabolism can contribute to discoloring of teeth. You can try these home remedies to whiten your teeth naturally: 1) The best way to whiten your teeth naturally, however not always the easiest, is to simply brush your teeth after eating or drinking something. 2) A good oral mouth rinse can be made using hydrogen peroxide; use half water and half hydrogen peroxide, swish around in your mouth for about one minute, and then rinse, it acts as natural teeth whitening as well as has antibacterial properties. 3) Simply put a spoonful of coconut oil in your mouth and swish it between your teeth for five to 20 minutes, or add a few drops to your toothbrush and brush it on. Another option is to apply coconut oil to a corner of a clean washcloth and rub it on the teeth. You can consult a dentist to get a teeth whitening treatment done.

Dentist, Rewari
Chewing tobacco leads to fibrosis of cheek muscle which leads to closure of mouth this is a sign of precancerous lesions.Stop immediately taking tobacco . Braces will not be useful. Special injections to break fibrosis of cheek may be helpful

Bleeding gums, bad breath, red and swollen gums are initial signs of gingivitis.. So you need a professional cleaning with polishing.. Plz do visit a dentist so that it doesnt worsen up with periodontitis( gum disease with bad breath, bone loss, lose teeth, etc..)

its a myth that cavities cannot be cured. once treated in one tooth infection can get into other tooth leading to another cavity. for this not to re occur again you need to keep proper oral hygiene. brush 2 times daily, regular mouthwash, visit dentist regularly.

Hi doctors I had a tooth problem my last two teeth has a black patch and it's paining continues what to do?

Hi doctors I had a tooth problem my last two teeth has a black patch and it's paining continues what to do?
A black patch on your teeth is suggestive of tooth decay. As you said that there is pain too, you surely require to get those teeth treated at the earliest. Depending on the extent of decay your teeth may require filling or root canal treatment. Tooth decay if left unattended will go on increasing leading to loss of your teeth. Please visit your dentist at the earliest.

Dental And Gum Problems During Menopause

I'm struggling with gum disease. My gum is leaving my tooth. And also smelly breath

Dear, There has to be a cause for your gums receeding - aggressive brushing, clenching habit, calculus (tartar) deposits, traumatic bite or irregular teeth to name the most common. It will be prudent to reach a possible cause of your problem on a clinical examination and then treat the cause. Further loss of the same would be stopped. Once it becomes stable - that is there is no further recession of your gums we can think of ways to get them back up to the levels possible.

Sugary foods should be consumed in limited quantities as the bacteria in dental plaque changes them into acids.

I have very pain in my teeth please give some suggestions for minimized the pain.

I have very pain in my teeth please give some suggestions for minimized the pain.
The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.
