Birth asphyxia might have caused damage to his brain, leading to developmental delay, requires physiotherapy + occupational therapy for rehabilitation.

Hi Elena.. you can consult me through lybrate for homoeopathic treatment... As you have not mentioned any questions... I cannot help you with that.. But homoeopathic treatment is best choice in pediatric cases... to avoid harmful side effects..

Hello doctor .normal range of body temperature in 6 months old baby. If fever what is temperature to give medication. How many times can fever medicine can be given in a day.
A temperature reading isn't the only indication of whether a fever is serious. Age is a factor: Fever is more serious in babies under 3 months. Behavior is another factor: A high fever that doesn't stop your baby from playing and feeding normally may not be cause for alarm. Keep in mind that everyone's temperature rises in the late afternoon and early evening and falls between midnight and early morning. This natural cycle of our internal thermostat explains why doctors get most of their phone calls about fever in the late afternoon and early evening. So yu have to treat the cause of fever and and not the temperature .if the baby is active and playful the temperature is not an indication ofr giving paracetamol and is harmful .It need to be given only if there is infection and a doctor can decide it after seeing the baby.

My baby is 4 month old. He is passing greenish yellow stools with mucus from a week. Earlier test shows 0-3 pus cells and 0-3 rbcs. Recent test shows no rbcs but pus cells were 7-10. What to do? He is active, no fever or vomiting. Passing 3-4 stools a day. He is exclusively on breastfeed.
DNB (Pediatrics), DCH
It looks like it's normal frequency. If child remains active without fever and vomiting then exclusively breastfeeding child can be only observed.

Dear Doctor, I am the mother of baby girl of one and half month.. We came to know that she is having one hole of 0.53 cm perimembranous and one more hole of 0.29 cm ASD at her age of 25 days. Our paediatrician suggested no treatment at this time and she will be kept under observation for 2 years and echocardiography for every 6 months once. Mostly holes may close by their own. Now she is of 3.7kg. Feeding is in normal way and she is active also. But we are really worried about this condition. Whether her condition is very severe? Whether holes close by their own?
MD Paediatrics, MBBS
This is a common problem in newborn babies, generally all babies have holes before birth which close either at the time of birth or few hours after birth. This is a physiological phenomenon. In some babies this phenomenon gets delayed for may be few days and months. As per your paediatrician its correct to wait and watch, I hope its not a major issue, if it was a major issue your baby would have breathing problems at birth or later. Since baby is doing well you need not worry! just get repeat echo done as per your doctors order. No need to panic!
I am 29 years old and have 17 months old baby boy. I nurse him regularly. I am loosing appetite. I have done usg of upper abdomen n liver function test. Both reports are normal. Dr.prescribed me sorbiline bt it doesn't helped. What appetizer tonic can I take? please suggest me as I am very lean n underweight.

Consume Apitone tonic daily. Eating a variety of flavors from food may help increase your appetite. Avoid eating bland foods; that can do little for increasing your appetite. Adding fresh or dried herbs to dishes can help enhance flavor and also add nutritional value to a meal. Try either cooking or ordering from a restaurant a different cuisine you are not used to. For example, try adding in Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern or other ethnic flavors into your meals. Trying new flavor combinations can increase your desire to eat and may help broaden your interest in food. The smell of herbs and seasonings should also help boost your appetite. You can also make food more interesting by increasing the variety of texture of foods at meals. If your oral health allows it, avoid eating just one texture of food at meal times. Get a little bit of soft, crunchy, chewy, etc. foods at meals to help keep you interested.

But weight is too low. I so much worried about my health. Please suggest me the best way to get a proper weight up 50 kg.
Hi,Thank you for your query. We will be happy to help you. For weight gain, -Eat more calories than your body burns. -Eat lots of foods that are calorie-dense. This includes various nuts and dry fruits, bananas, potatoes, rice, peanut butter. -Drink milk daily. -Consume more proteins and carbohydrates. -Increase your regular meal portions by some amount. -If you eat non-veg food, eat it more often. We are here to guide you. For a detailed and customized diet plan, feel free to leave a message. Eat healthy, stay healthy Regards.
I have 4 years old kid. He is very stubborn and he is not able to concentrate on his studies and not performing well. Even when I try make him to sit and write he is reluctant and try to avoid what ever ways I tried. Please suggest me what should I do to make my child study properly.
A 4 year old cannot be expected to concentrate on studies as he is still a playful child and not ready for serious studies. In our system where children are overloaded there're problems. However we can do some tests to make sure he has no disease. Ask me privately so that I can reply you in continuity regards.

Weight is alright and do not overfeed and make children obese. To be sure there is no illness, check her cbc, & tsh and send me the reports.
