Please note the followings in respect to your queries: 1. Banana and Milk -- Bananas are full of calories and contain high amount of carbohydrates and potassium that give you instant energy. Whosoever want to gain weight must eat a banana daily in the morning with a glass of warm milk. Add a teaspoon of sugar in it. Moreover, you can also have it after your meals. Note – Don’t eat bananas when you are down with common cold. 2. Peanut Butter -- Peanut butter is a yummy spread for toast and bread. If you’re trying to gain weight, feel free to go for this high-calorie and nutritious food. Apply it on your whole wheat bread for breakfast and see how your weight increases within a short period of time. • Besides, you can spread a spoonful of peanut butter on fruits or vegetables like banana, apple slices, fresh berries, wheat germ or applesauce. • Alternatively, a peanut butter sandwich is also a good choice. If you have any medical disease that needs to be treated. Find a great personal trainer and yoga instructor to keep you consistent. Consult me for homeopathic treatment. This form of low back pain is amplified with periods of stress, poor posture, weak abdominals and/or excessive body weight. There are many exercises that should be performed to address the issue of back pain from standing. These exercises try to relieve both the tightness and imbalances in the lumbar spine. Please consult a physiotherapist privately to learn these exercises. Here are a few simple tips to try at home: -heat therapy can provide both pain relief and healing benefits for many types of lower back pain. Try use heat therapy in form of heating pads, heat wraps, hot baths, etc. -keep moving and keep your back mobile. -stretch. Don't sit slumped in your desk chair all day. Get up every 20 minutes or so and stretch the other way. Because most of us spend a lot of time bending forward in our jobs, it's important to stand up and stretch backward throughout the day. -think ergonomically. Design your workspace so you don't have to hunch forward to see your computer monitor or reach way out for your mouse. Use a desk chair that supports your lower back and allows you to keep your feet planted firmly on the floor. -watch your posture. Slumping makes it harder for your back to support your weight. Be especially careful of your posture when lifting heavy objects. Never bend over from the waist. Instead, bend and straighten from the knees. -watch your weight. Use diet and exercise to keep your weight within a healthy range for your height. Being overweight puts excess stress on your spine. Go and see a doctor if -your low back pain is severe, doesn't go away after a few days, or it hurts even when you're at rest or lying down. You have weakness or numbness in your legs, or you have trouble standing or walking. You lose control over your bowels or bladder. These could be signs that you have a nerve problem or another underlying medical condition that needs to be treated.

Substance Dependence

Ask Free Question
Alcohol and other substances are known to cause intoxication to man since the oldest found records. Much has been talked about the ill effects of all these substances and yet their use is rampant in all society - rich, poor, young, old, male, female & all the races around the world. Why? intoxication.

Everybody has a certain amount of dopamine & endorphins in their which are the pleasure chemical. Some people produce less of it, genetically or due to other reasons. These individuals seek out substance in various forms for their dopamine & endorphin levels to be maintained. Tolerance. Different genetically programmed individuals start consuming substances at different age. And after a certain level, they need more of the same substance for the desired effect. This is called tolerance.

Withdrawal. When a person is addicted to a substance long enough that when one stops its suddenly, it can cause physicals effects like tremors, sleeplessness, cravings, body ache, etc. These features are known as withdrawals.

When all these three features are seen in a person along with a lifestyle which only involves getting & consuming the substance as main priority, then we can diagnose the person as substance dependence. The main substances of abuse seen in our country are:
- tobacco (cigarettes, bidis, gutkha, tambaku, khaini, paan, zarda)
- alcohol (beer, spirit)
- cannabis (ganja, charas, weed, grass, marijuana)
- opioids (garad, brown sugar, heroin, cough syrup)
- benzodiazapenes (button, roofies)
- cocciane
- inhalant (whitener, nail paint remover)
- hallucinogens (lsd, acid, mushrooms, amphitamines)

And many more which can be experimented with and can become drugs of abuse.
The main thing to keep in mind regarding treatment of substance dependence is that it is a psychiatric illness like diabetes or hypertension, and that it is not under the voluntary control of the patient. The patient requires strong social support to strengthen his motivation to leave the substance. Medications can only help in suppressing the withdrawal features & control cravings to some extent. But acceptance of substance dependence as a mental illness by the society is the need for the hour.

Any patient should not try leaving substance on their own as withdrawal can lead to further complications. Please consult your nearest psychiatrist for medication & further help.

It seems stress related and at your age, there could be a lot of hormonal imbalances that could cause some disturbances that need attention. Anger may be one of the unresolved issues that are seeking resolution and is coming up at this juncture just for that. Meet with a counselor and seek some help regarding your emotions. In the meantime, you could implement some of these suggestions to improve sleep: In your case particularly, do not sleep during the day; don’t even lie down. Go for regular exercise (breathing through your nostrils only) at a fixed time (at about 6 am) every day, whether you sleep or not. You must develop this habit of sleeping by 10 pm latest every night and wake up at a uniform time by 6 am every morning, even if you do not get sleep. If you do not get sleep, just lie down and if you have a bed lamp (or you could get one) lie down and read something light but not exciting. Your eyes will tire and you will fall asleep. If you like you may also put on light and soft music with the sleep function on. Depending on whether you are a visual or auditory person, you may watch TV in a lying down position until you feel sleepy. Have a warm bath before going to bed (for some people a cold bath at night seems to induce sleep! If you are one of them, please do so). Place the head side of your bed in a North-South position. The room must be as dark as possible and there should be no electronic items that give off even a light LED glow. There must be ample ventilation in the room. Avoid strong odors, except lavender, on your body or in the room, or on your sheets and clothes. There should not be any live plants in your bedroom. Sleep with the lightest of clothes or without any clothing. When lying down to sleep, lie down on your left ear as much as possible. Do not sleep directly under an overhead fan. You must eat a good breakfast, a fairly light lunch, and an early dinner, which should be a very light meal. Whatever you eat in the other meals, have only a pure carbohydrate meal at night with any vegetables, and preferably before 8 pm. Do not drink much liquids after or near about dinner time. When lying down to sleep you may use the 4-7-8 breathing pattern of sleep inducement i.e. Breathe in for four counts through your nostril only, hold for 7 counts, and exhale with a whoosh sound, through your mouth only, for 8 counts. Repeat this four times in the morning and just before you sleep at night. If you know Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT (check this out either on YouTube or Google), then please practice this too for sleep induction. Self-hypnosis and slow relaxation techniques, at night will be tremendously useful. Acupuncture or acupressure will both be very useful too. Pray last thing at night before you sleep.
