Homoeopathic treatment HAIR GROWTH OIL ( Wilmar Schwabe India) Apply twice weekly at night.Leave overnight A.C.9 ( BAKSON ) Chew 1 tab twice daily R-89 ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily. R-89 ( Dr Reckeweg) Massage in hair roots 20-30 drops daily 0r alternate days one hour before bath.( In females one hour before bath) 6-8 glasss extra water daily 2 glas milk daily Take nutritious diet Avoid junk nd spicy food, fast food, cold drinks Castor oil: • helps with hair regrowth and hair loss, • makes the hair richer and darker, • prevents split ends, • treats dandruff and dry scalp, • moisturizes the hair and makes it shine, • works in an antifungal and antibacterial way and can prevent problems such as ringworm, and folliculitis. How to apply castor oil It’s best to use castor oil as a hair mask. This is particularly helpful if you’re trying to regrow hair or give it more moist and shine. 1. Castor oil has a thick consistency, so you can mix it with coconut oil, olive oil or jojoba oil in a half and half ratio. This will make the mask easier to distribute throughout your hair. 2. Use your fingers or a brush and start applying it onto your scalp with circular motions. This gentle massage increases the blood circulation, rejuvenates the hair, and stimulates hair growth. 3. Part hair into sections and apply the oil (mixture) to each section until all your hair is covered properly and evenly. 4. Wrap your hair in a warm towel (you can also use a shower cap) and leave it for two to eight hours. You can also leave it over night. This will give the oil enough time to penetrate the follicles and hydrate your scalp and hair thoroughly. 5. Wash your hair as usual using shampoo and conditioner. Make sure you rinse all the oil out of your hair. How often should you use castor oil? This depends on your objective and type of hair. If your aim is to treat hair loss, you will need to do it at least twice weekly, but even better if you can do it three or four times per week for several weeks. For split ends and increased shine, you can use the oil as a conditioner once weekly. Be careful not to use too much of it (a pea-sized amount should do) or you can end up with an over-oily scalp. For best results use unrefined castor oil, as it contains more nutrients and healing properties.

My son is addicted to mobile phones game, clash of cans, he plays whole night and sleeps whole day. Doesn' t like food, don' t want to talk to any one. Doesn' t go to school. Last year he passed 10th. How can you help me.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
He is seriously addicted to these games and needs help to get out of this habit. There is nothing wrong with these modern gadgets and the tremendous uses they can be put in to. But to be completely absorbed in the activity without concern for food, sleep, studies and social contact is going beyond the limit. It is become both compulsive and obsessive. When giving him the mobile you should also have brought in some basic rules and conditions. If he failed to comply, you could easily confiscate the item. Now however he is much into it and will react with violence or non-compliance with refusal to study and go to college etc. Anyway, that is now spilt milk. Here is what you need to do: first, talk to him in a caring manner to dissuade him from this extensive use of the phone for games. Then, threaten to withdraw the mobile phone, if he doesn? t follow some timings, proper eating habits, going to school, and sleeping at night. If he complies, well and good. If not, threaten to stop payment for his mobile bills. If that does not work, then just take away the phone and give it to him at set times during the day, only. When I say? threaten, you must then act on that threat and actually do it. Then, you could completely confiscate the phone. Do not give him any pocket money either, as that will feed into the addiction: he can go and play at some computer caf?, though that might at least restrict the night usage. Another way is to subtly give him some chores for the family and take him away from the phone for brief moments. You could also send him to a relative in a remote place, if you have someone there, and take the phone away from him during that trip. The more aggressive way to go about it is to dip the phone in water and quietly put it back after wiping it and thus making it defunct. Sometimes, you will need to do it this way, unfortunately, to somehow get him to stop the habit. Waiting for him to initiate it may never happen. The last option is to wait for him to get to a stage where he develops finger injuries or other sleep and food deprivation problems that will force him to want to give up the habit. The wait could be for a long time, but we have to be patient. If at any point he acts violent or threatens violence, you must tell him that you will report him to the police. This is tough love, and needs this kind of approach to halt the progress of a disease that has become out of control.

Hi, my daughter aged 14 has been having difficulty in school .she is showing signs of depression, upset ,and miserable in general. She refuses to go to school and hasn't attended school since 2 weeks .she complains of pain when she writes notes .have shown many orthopedics but they can't diagnose anything .what should be the line of treatment for her in this case .she suffers from low self esteem and has extreme outbursts and mood swings .how should I treat this .also has spoken about how horrid her life is and she wants to end it.

Masters in psychology
Psychologist, Noida
Hi, lybrate-user, I understand how difficult it would be for you to see your daughter like this. There are a few things that you can do to find help for her- 1. You need to take your daughter to see a good Psychologist who can speak to her and understand the reasons behind her refusal to go to school, feeling depressed and suicidal. - if your daughter isn't Shari g anything with you, the chances are high that she would speak to a therapist who ensures her confidentiality. 2. Speak to her friends, teachers and principal about how things are at school- hope your daughter isn't getting bullied by a student or a teacher? Try and get down to the bottom of the refusal to go to school. If you don't feel comfortable, don't tell the school/ teachers / friends about your daughter feeling depressed. Just go with why she is refusing to go to school. You alone will not be able to treat or help your daughter. Her physical symptoms of pain most likely are linked to psychological issues. Don't force her to go to school but do get the professional help from a Psychologist even if she reists. Finally, it's quiet possible that looking at the severity of her symptoms a Psychologist might suggest a referral to a psychiatrist forild medications- don't hesitate or resist. They will only help and nothing else. Do keep me posted about your daughter's well-being. Take Care
