I brush my teeth twice a day but I have noticed that my teeth colour has become yellow which was not the case earlier. What should I do?

MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Amravati
If you are brushing very vigorously, then due to excessive friction, there is loss of enamel. When the enamel layer of the teeth is thinned, teeth start appearing yellow due to dentin, the inner layer. Brush using soft toothbrush and clean all areas in 2 minutes.

I got pain sometimes in my teeth and after two or three days it automAtically went off. What should I do?

MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Amravati
Brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums.

I had to go for bridges for the front teeth as I met with an accident 12years ago as time passed after this treatment my teeth gradually coming outwards so my question is should I go for braces for lower teeth also they are also a little bit outwards.

MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Amravati
Adult orthodontics is also successful nowadays. But your teeth should be firm and should not have any gingival problem for braces treatment.

I have red rashes in mouth after eating hot meals? What is that? Is the result of heat? What medicine should I take?

You need to eat multivitamin supplements. Also eat lots of fruits and vegetables to prevent vitamin deficiency.

Hi, My daughter fell in school while being pushed by fellow student, accidentally chipped her 2 front teeth. We took her to nearby dentist who suggested RCD, got it done. Now suggest if we should get the crown also done. She is just 9 yrs.

MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Amravati
If teeth are broken very badly, then a crown is required to prevent further breakage. But if teeth are broken little, then you can wait till 16 years to get the crown done.

Their is a natural gap between two teeth, it gives pain me when I chewing hard like chicken, mutton. Is their any solutions?

MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Amravati
You can put a cap to fill, the gap. Pain is due to food getting stuck between the teeth. Cap will prevent that.
