His concentration and understanding capacity is reducing and I strongly suspect that apart from age factor and sugar level it is the side effect of metformin also due to which he is suffering so can you provide me with an alternative medicine to control sugar which does not affect mind. 2) Does creatinine level of 1.6 means that 50% of both the kidney are damaged and it cannot be reversed? Please clarify in detail whether it is true or not? 3) I have overheard that allopathy medicines should not be taken with cold water so is it true or not?

Better you go to insulin .alternative is gliptin group. So tight control of blood pressure is not good. Control blood sugar .hba1c must be less than 7.5.you discuss all with diabetologist. I can guide you also.

Next time please mention the age of the patient also. Hba1c is increased, you should consult your physician to adjust the dosage. Pp sugar is on d higher side but not too high. Creatinine level is slightly increased in older person. 1.6 is on bit higher side, maintain blood sugar level n it may become normal is due course of time.
