I have an allergy to dogs, dust, pollution (may be) since 2-3 years, previously I used to take montek LC medicine and felt good for next 1-2 months but now even the medicine is not working I get running nose, watery eyes every 1 or 2 days .please suggest any solution to my problem .Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user, Greetings, from what you've described about yourself, I could gather that you're suffering from allergic rhinitis. This is actually a hyper responsive state of the immune system. Trigger could be anything varying from person to person. It's great that you've identified the allergens for yourself. The best treatment is to avoid exposure to factors, to which you're allergic. Difficult for temperature and weather changes, but dogs ,dust exposure can be avoided and certainly should be done. Besides that there are few blood tests, which can tell you about your allergies. If longstanding ,then few radiological tests also to be done to rule out sinusitis and polyps in nose. Better consult with the Ent doctor nearby and get the complete diagnosis. Depending on it ,you might be given oral anti allergic tablets or intra nasal sprays. One thing you must remember, that allergy is decided by your genetic composition, so it can only be controlled, not cured. Thanks,
