If there are no medical reasons for this condition, you can expect this behavior around this age. He is entering what is known as the? terrible twos, which tends to last from 2 years to about 4 years. Till now he has been the center of the world and has just unwillingly realized that you as a mother have your own needs and will sometimes attend to that first before meeting his. This will outrage him and he will throw tantrums and kick, and bite etc. You have to set boundaries to this behavior and inform him that unless he stops, he will not get attention this way. After a few attempts and escalations, he will learn and adapt. You may help him know better ways of expressing his displeasure. This phase is very important for him to learn self control and discipline. He will also learn about prioritizing and suspending his needs until it can be met, reasonably. Whatever you do, reject the behavior but not the person.
