About Intacef Tazo 3000 Mg/375 Mg Injection

This medication is composed of Ceftriaxone and Tazobactum. It is used for treating bacterial infections such as gonorrhea (infection of female reproductive organ), pelvic inflammatory disease and also infections of lungs, skin, blood, bones, joints and abdomen.

The drug belongs to a class of medications known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It is a penicillin antibiotic, which blocks the growth of the bacterial cell wall, thus killing it in the process. The medicine is not meant for consumption in case of those patients who have mononucleosis or suffer from liver issues.
