MY 2 TOOTS HAVE BECOME BRITTLE AND COMES IN PIECES TO MY HAND AND ONE TOOTH SURFACE GOT ERODED FEELS VERY ROUGH WHEN I TOUCH WITH MY TONGUE, WHAT COULD BE REASON AND WHAT TREATMENT I HAVE TO UNDERGO. PLEASE ADVICE

BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
Brittle ness of teeth can be due to few medicines also and due to an extent hyper acidity in stomach where the gases causes erosions of teeth , so if u have any systematic problem first u should get that treatment done instead jumping to dental treatment and related to dental I can tell go for capping of teeth means crowns.

Hi doctor, i have a problem in my tooth and it pains a lot i did do the root canal as well and it stopped paining but ow again its started please suggest what needs to be done.

BDS
Dentist, Pune
Please specify the kind of pain you get i.E pain on biting only or otherwise a continous kind of pain. If it is just on biting then may be just the crown is high just get it adjusted and if it is continous then the root canal is improperly done get an x ray done of the tooth to confirm.

When A Tooth Brush Can Be Changed?

Bachelor of Dental Surgery
Dentist, Allahabad
When A Tooth Brush Can Be Changed?
  • A tooth brush can be safely used until it's fibers become hard and brush fibers spreading. When brush fibers becomes hard and start spreading we should change our tooth brush. Continuous use of a harden and spreading tooth brush cause more abrasion of tooth and puncture of gums and bleeding of gums. At long time use of this can cause gingival recision and thermal sensation of teeth.
  •  A brush can be safely used approx 20 to 30 days.

I'm a regular smoker and huge coffee lover. Is it responsible for yellowish teeth? How do I get rid of this?

Smoking and coffee both can add to the stains on the teeth. A regular cleaning and polishing is required to get rid of the stains.

Hi, is there any method to cover the space between from teeth. If yes what it is called.

Dentist, Gurgaon
Hi, is there any method to cover the space between from teeth. If yes what it is called.
Hi lybrate-user, yes, there are two types of techniques by which this space closure can be achieved. One is the cosmetic treatment done for minor spacing in which some tooth colored fillings, laminates or veneers hides this space. Other one is orthodontic treatment for larger spaces, in which braces or wires or elastics are used to orient the teeth in correct position. I suggest you to visit a good cosmetic dentist and take the opinion about the treatment after proper diagnosis of your condition.

Munching foods like apples, pears, carrots or celery after brushing can help in preventing discoloration
Munching foods like apples, pears, carrots or celery after brushing can help in preventing discoloration as they trigger tooth-bathing saliva which helps in keeping the teeth whiter.

Eat Cheese After Meals

Eating a piece of cheese after a meal helps in pulling away some of the plaque and leftover tiny food particles from meals. And since it contains calcium, it adds to the health of teeth and bones as well.

Is it advisable for a 21 year old with all teeth but not in perfect shape n size to get replaced by a new artificial set of teeths for a better dental care and smile?

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
No.Always what is natural is the best.I suggest, if for cosmetic and aesthetic reasons you can't go for artificial teeth. However you can still go for orthodontic ( that's braces. We can now give you invisible braces too) or restorations like Laminates, Veneers, or composite restorations to give yourself a beautiful smile .We can give you beautiful smile designs these days. So don't get your natural teeth replaced. What's God given and natural is the best.Artificial will not be half as good.

Hi, you can take soft food today. As filling material will set you can eat normal food. Avoid eating too hard food.
