Good Morning ~ If you were tested twice after exposure at the 10th and 14th week and both of them were negative, it is very unlikely to be HIV infection. You probably have some sexually transmitted infections and you need to see a doctor immediately for the infections like candida etc which need to be treated.

Bad pain in teeth. Hot n cold gives sensation. From 1 year though I use sensitive toothpaste. Pain Happens more when mouth is open. No allergies or any other issues.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash.

My teeth have suddenly become very sensitive. What might be the reason? Very difficult to eat hot or cold items. Mostly the molar teeth region.

If you have sensitivity you can go for sensodyne toothpaste and still if you don't get relieve go for rct.

I am 30 years old, female. I am having Oral submucosa fibrosis with impacted tooth. I cam open about 1.5 finger mouth. The doc has asked me to go for operation. That will be by done general anesthesia and it is a major operation. They did not prescribe any medicine. I do not whether they are doing for the money or not. Should I take Ephcorlin 2.5 mg and lycored with exercise? Should I go for local injections? I am looking for your help.

M.Sc - Medical Bio-chemistry, BDS
Dentist, Jaipur
Your mouth opening is less than 50 percent and it is very difficult to get access to 3rd molar in this case. If condition is acute and painful then surgical extraction from external side is only option because oral submucous fibrosis takes time to get treated. If impacted tooth is not causing any problem in that case firstly oral submucous fibrosis can be treated with medicines and local injections and physiotherapy.

Few things related to headache so that we can plan the treatment accordingly - If pain is associated with blurred or decreased vision than check your eye sight for refractive error - If the pain is associated with cold and fever than we have to rule out sinusitis as the cause and If the pain is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura than we have to rule out Migrane as the cause - if the pain is associated with neck problems than we have to rule out cervical spondylosis as the cause - If the pain is associated with either low or high BP or due to hyperacidity than we have to treat the cause after examination.

After surgery in the nose, for some years the bad odor emission did vanish, but after certain period it has again started. I had recently got my dental treatment done for the cavities. You need to go for a thorough chec-up to the ear, nose throat specialist. If he says there is nothing wrong, then consult a dentist. You may be checked again for cavities, gum problems, spaces between your teeth and treated accordingly.

Visit a dentist asap n get an x ray done. If there is infection with tooth, rct has to repeated. If the infection is in the gums due to food lodgment near the cap, you'll b treated differently for gum infection. Regards.

Kindly consult a physician & dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Eating and drinking naturally weakens the enamel on your teeth, and brushing straight afterwards can cause tiny particles of enamel to be brushed away. It is best not to brush your teeth until at least one hour after eating.

Hi. I have sensitive feel in my back row teeth. This first time. If I drink normal water also. I feel some light sensitive. Let me know wat I do for this.

BDS
Dentist, Kolar
This could b either due to sensitivity due to loss of enamel surface or due to decay of tooth. Tooth decay can b treated by filling of tooth or by rct n capping of the decay is deep. Sensitivity can b reduced by using desensitizing toothpaste such as senquelf or sensodyne toothpaste by rubbing some amount of toothpaste onto your tooth surface n wait till 5 mins before rinsing it off. Get your teeth evaluated by dentist to know the cause of your problem n get treated accordingly. Regsrds.

Believe dental implants are often more economical than bridges. They are more conservative, have a high success rate, preserve bone and don't decay. In my experience, patients choose bridges over, but only because of higher up front cost. Implants are not only the standard of care, but a better value as well.

Hi ashok, I am surprised to read from a patient. You are correct, but unfortunately patients still do not go in for implants readily. Regards, Dr. Gaurav shah

If your child's age is between 9-12 years and his/her front teeth or jaws are looking forwardly placed then consult orthodontist as soon as possible as this is the proper age to treat your child by modifying jaw growth if there is any imbalance between upper n lower jaw.
