Hi sir/mam, I'm suffering with eye diseases Keratoconus with Right eye Is there Any treatment to cure this problem.

Hi sir/mam, I'm suffering with eye diseases Keratoconus with Right eye Is there Any treatment to cure this problem.
Hi lybrate-user, let me suggest you both surgical and non-surgical options for your problem. 1. INTACS: Intacs are used to reshape the natural curves of the cornea to correct nearsightedness. The intacs are small segments placed between the tissue layers of the cornea. There has been much success with the use of INTACS. There are many benefits to the use of INTACS like: It is only a 10 minute procedure, You can remove them or exchange them over time, Can delay the progression of Keratoconus. 2. C3-R: C3-R also know as Corneal Collagen Cross-linking with Riboflavin is another option for Keratoconus patients. This procedure is used to strengthen the cornea. C3R has been very effective in patients with Keratoconus. Over the course of 2-3 months it continues to strengthen the cornea and stops the progression of keratoconus. In some patients it has reversed the damage caused by keratoconus. The procedure takes about 30 minuted and involves the placement of drops in the affected eye. The doctor than places a UV light on the eye to activate the drops. There is no pain or post maintenance required after the procedure. 3. CK - FOr Astigmatism: Conductive Keratoplasty- Or CK is a painless 5 minute procedure that can be done in the doctors office. This procedure has been shown to improve the vision of Keratoconus patients and reduce astigmatism. 4. Corneal Transplant: When no other treatment works and scarring has already taken place on the cornea, corneal transplant may be the only potential way to recover vision. During a corneal transplant, the doctor creates a ‘button’ of the distorted corneal tissue, removes it and the donor corneal tissue is grafted onto the eye. While a corneal transplant will relieve the symptoms of keratoconus, it may not provide you with flawless vision. You are most likely to need corrective lens for clear and there are a lot of complications which can happen. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Keep your eyelashes clean. Do not rub your eyes. Use a good lubricating eye drop 3 times a day and do cold compress with ice pack 3 times a day. Get your eyesight checked for glasses.

Hello lybrate-user. Sorry about your eye trouble. Myopia is a condition characterized by short sightedness. It means that the person has lesser ability to see objects placed at a distance. This condition is governed by certain genetic and hereditary factors. There are other dietary and postural factors as well that govern the progress of myopia. I have a few suggestions for you regarding the maintenance of healthy eyes: let me enumerate the diet necessary for healthy eyes. (1) green leafy vegetables including spinach, sprouts, cabbage, beetroot. (2) fruits-blue-berries, black-berries, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi fruit, grapes, pineapple, pomegranate, grapes, guava. (3) dry-fruits: almonds, walnuts, apricots, dates. (4) cereals: oats, barley, millets. (5) drink a cup of green tea daily. (6) drink a glass of milk daily. To decrease the power of the lens, you could consider refractive surgery. Operations done to remove the refractive error (power) of the eyes are known as refractive surgery (lasik). There are certain basic criteria that most patients need to fulfill before they can safely undergo refractive surgery. To enumerate, they are: (1) stability of refraction: the power of the eyes should have become stable for a period of 1.5 years minimum without any change. (2) curvature of the cornea should be tested by a technique which is known as topography. (3) thickness of the cornea should be measured by a test known as pachymetry. The minimum thickness required is 550 microns. (4) dilated retina evaluation: this is one of the most important tests that should be performed by a trained retina specialist. This test helps in detection of any offensive lesion on the central or peripheral retina. In case of any retinal abnormality, these should be treated before undergoing the surgery for number reduction. (5) there should be no pre-existent corneal abnormality. (example: corneal scar, opacity, defect, etc.) another important suggestion is that whenever you go for the assessment (the above mentioned tests), you should discontinue the use of contact lenses at least 4 weeks prior to the assessment. The reason for this being that use of contact lens temporarily alters the contour of the cornea. It takes around 3-4 weeks for the restoration of the original corneal contour after removal of the contact lens. Another important point is that you, as a patient, should be compliant to put post operative medication in your eyes for at least 2 months. There is bound to be some discomfort, watering, foreign body sensation, pain after the surgery in most cases-you should be ready to tolerate that. A leave from work for 7-10 days after the surgery should be generally sufficient. Last but not the least, you should set realistic expectations from this surgery. Though extremely rare, there is a remote possibility that the surgery may need to be repeated. Also, the need for subsequent treatment for the eye may be required. Thus, you should be compliant enough to trust and follow your eye specialist. In case you have any other queries, feel free to contact me. Hope my suggestions help you, take care,

First get check up by an eye specialist and know the reason for eye pain. Then get proper treatment for that. Just taking medicine blindly is very dangerous.

If you have a habit of eating fatty food then start avoiding it. Go for daily workouts or jogging, take plenty of fluids, get your eyesight checked from an eye specialist locally.
