I am 41 years old development professional. I am suffering from unnecessary fear of somewhat happens.

Masters in Clinical Psychology
Psychologist, Lucknow
I am 41 years old development professional. I am suffering from unnecessary fear of somewhat happens.
Hi Mr. lybrate-user, you are suffering from fear of unknown? Is it what you are trying to say? The fear of the unknown can sometimes be very difficult to describe because this fear is nothing more than a mental obstacle. More than often, it curbs an individual’s ability to perform to the fullest in various walks of life. Every time an individual encounters an unfamiliar situation, the fear manifests itself, and prevents an individual from taking the right decisions in life. Usually, an individual chooses to run away from the situation, and in the process losses certain opportunities in life. There are times when an individual has to move away from his/her comfort zone to experience better things in life. The fear of the unknown prevents an individual from leaving his/her comfort zone. If you can relate to the above symptoms of fear, you would be glad to know that you can get rid of the fear of the unknown by incorporating some simple changes in your life. The basic step involved in fighting the fear is to educate oneself about the fear and then confront it, rather than avoiding it. Remember, the fear of the unknown can make way into your life through various different sources. While some individuals worry about their new job, new relationship etc, there are others who fear about their body weight, public appearance and so on. Understand your fear First and foremost, you need to understand the cause of the fear. Remember, fear is a natural human instinct. Almost each one of us fears about something or the other. The fear of the unknown stems from certain things, situations or memories in life. Ask yourself, what you fear the most and what kind of situation you frequently avoid in your routine life. Once you are able to figure out the root cause of the fear, you will find it easier to combat it. Learn about the real risk In some cases, the fear of the unknown would be based on certain factors that are beyond our control. In such instances, educating oneself about the fear is the best way to curb the fear of the unknown. For instance, some individuals fear that the world will come to end in the year 2013. Some fear that they might get trapped in a lift with nobody to help them. These fears may appear dramatic and are beyond one’s control. Learning about the real risk can help one a great deal over here. For example, if the liftman assures you that no one has been trapped in the lift for more than 5 minutes, you will be able to eradicate the fear of the unknown to a great degree. The actual chance of the world coming to an end in the year 2013 is less than 1%. Over here, learning about these realities can ease your fear. Power of visualization Other methods that can be used to combat the fear of the unknown involve visualization and meditation. These methods will help you focus on the positives, rather than focusing on your fear. Over here, you will have to find a quiet place, which is immune from all kinds of noise so that you can meditate peacefully. Once you find a quiet place, stay seated and visualize in your mind how you are going to fight your fear step by step. Imagine different ways to combat your fear at least once in a day. Habitual practice of this activity will make you feel better. In this manner, you will already win the battle in your mind, before you set off to take real action. Take baby steps If you are living with a fear that can cause no real harm to you, then your best bet would be to take baby steps towards eradicating the fear. For instance, if you fear of public speaking, address a small gathering that involves your friends and dear ones to embark the first step towards killing the fear. If you fear heights, start using the stairs instead of the lift. These baby steps will go a long way in helping you fight your fear over a period of time. Use humor to fight fear Humor is another great way to get rid of the fear of the unknown. The idea is to ease your mind to ensure that there are no unwanted thoughts that are troubling you. Hang around with your friends and spend some time watching funny movies. You shouldn’t be taking life very seriously over here, so that you are able to kill the fear in a humorous manner. Remember, time once lost cannot be recreated. While being scared of something is a human instinct, you don’t have to spend all day long worrying about the unknown fear. Our mind tends to think about the worst case scenarios, but the worst may not happen at all. CONSULT with me for counseling and psychotherapy.

This is called premature ejaculation and Ejaculation of semen during sexual intercourse before or immediately after penetration. Premature ejaculation occurs when a man ejaculates sooner during sexual intercourse than he or his partner would like. Premature ejaculation is a common sexual complaint. Estimates vary, but as many as 1 out of 3 men say they experience this problem at some time. As long as it happens infrequently, it's not cause for concern. The primary symptom of premature ejaculation is the inability to delay ejaculation for more than one minute after penetration. However, the problem may occur in all sexual situations, even during masturbation. Premature ejaculation can be classified as lifelong (primary) or acquired (secondary). Lifelong premature ejaculation occurs all or nearly all of the time beginning with your first sexual encounters. Acquired premature ejaculation has the same symptoms but develops after you've had previous sexual experiences without ejaculatory problems. Many men feel that they have symptoms of premature ejaculation, but the symptoms do not meet the diagnostic criteria for premature ejaculation. Instead these may have natural variable premature ejaculation, which is characterized by periods of rapid ejaculation as well as periods of normal ejaculation. Psychological causes Some doctors believe that early sexual experiences may establish a pattern that can be difficult to change later in life, such as: •Situations in which you may have hurried to reach climax in order to avoid being discovered •Guilty feelings that increase your tendency to rush through sexual encounters Other factors that can play a role in causing premature ejaculation include: •Erectile dysfunction. Men who are anxious about obtaining or maintaining an erection during sexual intercourse may form a pattern of rushing to ejaculate, which can be difficult to change. •Anxiety. Many men with premature ejaculation also have problems with anxiety — either specifically about sexual performance or related to other issues. •Relationship problems. If you have had satisfying sexual relationships with other partners in which premature ejaculation happened infrequently or not at all, it's possible that interpersonal issues between you and your current partner are contributing to the problem. Biological causes A number of biological factors may contribute to premature ejaculation, including: •Abnormal hormone levels •Abnormal levels of brain chemicals called neurotransmitters •Abnormal reflex activity of the ejaculatory system •Certain thyroid problems •Inflammation and infection of the prostate or urethra •Inherited traits •Nerve damage from surgery or trauma (rare) Common treatment options for premature ejaculation include behavioural techniques, topical anaesthetics, oral medications and counselling. Keep in mind that it may take a little time to find the treatment or combination of treatments that will work for you. Behavioural techniques In some cases, therapy for premature ejaculation may involve taking simple steps, such as masturbating an hour or two before intercourse so that you're able to delay ejaculation during sex. You may try avoiding intercourse for a period of time and focusing on other types of sexual play so that pressure is removed from your sexual encounters. You can also try diverting your mind before ejaculation is ready to come and proceeding after a brief break, thereby prolonging duration of intercourse / action The pause-squeeze technique You and your partner can use of a method called the pause-squeeze technique. This method works as follows: 1.Begin sexual activity as usual, including stimulation of the penis, until you feel almost ready to ejaculate. 2.Have your partner squeeze the end of your penis, at the point where the head (glans) joins the shaft, and maintain the squeeze for several seconds, until the urge to ejaculate passes. 3.After the squeeze is released, wait for about 30 seconds, then go back to foreplay. You may notice that squeezing the penis causes it to become less erect, but when sexual stimulation is resumed, it soon regains full erection. 4.If you again feel you're about to ejaculate, have your partner repeat the squeeze process. By repeating this as many times as necessary, you can reach the point of entering your partner without ejaculating. After a few practice sessions, the feeling of knowing how to delay ejaculation may become a habit that no longer requires the pause-squeeze technique. Topical anaesthetics Anaesthetic creams and sprays that contain a numbing agent, such as lidocaine or procaine, are sometimes used to treat premature ejaculation. These products are applied to the penis a short time before sex to reduce sensation and thus help delay ejaculation. A lidocaine spray for premature ejaculation is available Although topical anaesthetic agents are effective and well-tolerated, they have potential side effects. For example, some men report temporary loss of sensitivity and decreased sexual pleasure. In some cases, female partners also have reported these effects. In rare cases, lidocaine or procaine can cause an allergic reaction. Oral medications Many medications may delay orgasm. Although none of these drugs is specifically worthwhile as people believe, approved medications may be prescribed for either on-demand or daily use, and may be prescribed alone or in combination with other treatments to treat premature ejaculation, some are used for this purpose, including antidepressants, analgesics and phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors, like Sildenafil or Tadalafil You can ask me personally if you want these tablets with your full health details.

You must visit a counselor and I am certain you may be asked to see a doctor too, for these conditions are rather indicative. Being in late adolescence will also be the time for final resolutions to childhood issues and is a good time to get proper help from a professional and resolve this problem. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

After my result of gate exam I am very sad and nothing like to me please give me some suggestions for happiness life.
1) Therapy: In some cases of depression, the root cause can be issues that have not been dealt with in a person’s life. The causes of depression are many because not all cases are alike. Some causes may be chemical and others emotional or it could be a combination of the two. Therapy has been known to be the most effective in dealing with depression. Lives can build up with pressures and work to the point of feeling run down and emotionally spent. People will most often seek the easiest alternative but sometimes just talking out your issues with someone trained to listen will help with depression. 2. Exercise: Exercise boosts every part of the body including blood flow to the arteries and endorphins which are naturally good for pain and even depression. Endorphins actually release other neurotransmitters in the body such as serotonin which is what antidepressants actually address. Endorphins release serotonin naturally and increase emotional health. Studies have proven that exercise improves cases of depression in patients suffering with this condition. 3. Iron: There are several studies that now indicate that a deficiency in iron is a cause of depression. There is a specific iron deficiency that is directly related to depression and some of the symptoms are lack of appetite, irritability and fatigue. There are many symptoms associated with this type of iron deficiency and it may be the underlying cause of a portion of people facing this issue. These underlying issues can lead to feelings of sadness and depression. An increase of iron in the diet can be the help needed to overcome issues of depression. 4. Fish Oil: Fish oil is known to boost many aspects of health and one of these is depression. When the body is getting all it needs nutritionally the mind follows. Fish oil contains a bevy of omega-3 fatty acids. These acids are known to improve emotional well-being naturally. You can buy fish oil that is molecularly distilled and you can ensure you are getting the purest form of fish oil available. 5. Folic Acid: Folic acid is an integral part of our dietary needs and should be considered when facing issues of depression. A deficiency of folate in the body is directly linked to depression in some cases and you can boost your happiness by adding foods rich in folate to your diet. Nutrition can play a large role in mood elevation. Folate is found naturally in foods such as grains, fruits and vegetables. Leafy greens that are rich in folate which are added to the diet have been shown to improve moods and emotional health as well as physical health. After each session you can feel the difference because you have come a little more closely to the root of your emotional issues. Boosting your happiness could just be talking out the things that cause you sadness in life. Gaining a Happy Perspective After dealing with nutritional deficiency or emotional deficiency it is important to put positive things forward in your life. Listen to positive affirmations during your day, avoid negative people and situations if you can do this. It is beneficial to emotional health to avoid drama and people who love drama. Boosting your happiness could be as simple as avoiding negative people and situations. Homeopathic medicine work for people and can be an alternative after normal remedies fail to boost happiness. However they should be a last resort not the first resort for boosting emotional health.
