I am a 58 years old man. I underwent cartilage operation on my left knee some 25 years back. The left knee did lose some flexibility after the operation but was manageable and no limp was obvious till the last one hear when the knee joint started becoming stiff and painful and flexibility became almost nil on my left knee particularly when walking. Could you suggest how I could increase the flexibility of my left knee.

Hello, your knee joints are in degenerative phase. To prevent further damage to your knees, follow these advise:- 1. Walk regularly for at least 15-20 min in the morning. 2. Wear knee cap to protect your joints. 3. You have to exercise twice a day. 3. Apply ice pack after exercise perform vigorous knee exercises which i'll teach you in the next session. Hi, I am 31 years old and last year I am suffering from high height falling inhjury in left knee. I have mri 3d report as per local Dr. Suggestion. And after that he said minor fractures are there and he said take 45 days rest. But still I am suffering for knee pain. Please suggest.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Hi Dr. My left hand point finger got hairline fracture and I done plaster 3 weeks back and today they removed the plaster. However I still have same pain and swallow. Now worrying that it is normal thing or it doesn't healed.

Hi Review with a check x-ray with your treating doctor. At this stage, if healing has occurred then simple hot water dipping and gradual flexion and extension exercises will restore movements in another 2 weeks or so nothing to worry.

Sir, I am 27 years male. I have a knee joint pain, back pain, and finger pain also. When I am lifting a bucket of water or something else, felling pain. I was taking supracal, and I cal tablet also by doctors. But I am felling nothing better. I have also testing my blood but everything was normal. Please sir advice me what should I do.

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -Apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --While sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -Do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -Avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -Stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -Some Physiotherapy treatment like IFT can give you some relief . -A physical therapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them. There are many conditions that can cause knee pain. - Ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. The swollen knee should be elevated above the level of the heart while icing. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -If the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: Squatting Kneeling Twisting and pivoting Jogging Aerobics, dancing Playing sport You need detail assessment with a Physiotherapist to find out what causing you this pain and pain management for your back and knee pain. Avoid toward bending sit straight do stretching exercise of full spine. Tk heat fermentation twice a day and any muscle relaxant medicine. If it work then ok otherwise tk a x-ray and physiotherapy treatment.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately.
