I am 28 years old male. I am having deep vein thrombosis with arthritis. I get genital ulcers with swelling of legs and dark sessions over legs even small pustules with puss. Is it curable and I got diabetic recently with no family history of diabetes, is it due to the use of wysolone?

Dear, I sympathize with you for your condition, being a diabetic you can develop multiple abscess all over, more so when you are on wysolone as it brings down the immunity status to a much lower degree, in fact being a diabetic you have a low immunity and adding wysolone will have further compounding effect. I am not sure why you developed dvt, it may be due to your sedentary habits due to your arthritis issue could be one and the main reason, however you have conflicting problems where you need to consult an able physician right away where your wysolone has to be stopped right away and you need an alternate medicine for arthritis, and you should be on long acting anticoagulants for your dvt.

My name is Masood Ahmed am 28 year old basically am from bangalore, I have varicose problem I consult many doctors but no result, what can I don please help me.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, Here are some Home Remedies for varicose veins which will help in reducing your condition: -Take Grape seed oil- 3 tsp, Jojoba oil- 3 tsp, Lemon/ geranium/peppermint or any other essential oil of your choice- 8 drops. Mix all the oils. Take some on your palms and rub to warm it up. Now gently massage your legs, ankles or the area with varicose veins. Use upward strokes, from feet to the top of your legs. -Take the fuller’s earth and add enough water to it to get a smooth paste. Apply this paste on your legs or wherever you have varicose veins. Leave it overnight. Fuller’s earth will dry off on your skin after some time. You can go to sleep once it gets dried. Wash it off next morning when you wake up. Management: You will also need to bring some minor and some major changes in your lifestyle so that you may prevent this varicose veins issue once and for all. Do not sit or stand for longer periods at a stretch. If your work demands so, take breaks after every 30 minutes. Change your position, walk a little, stretch or stand for a while. Just don’t be in a same position for longer. If you sit for longer, try to keep your legs elevated by using a stool or another chair. Don’t sit with crossed legs or crossed ankles. Keep your legs elevated even when you lie down or sleep. Avoid wearing high heels. Avoid wearing tight clothes, especially those that may cut your blood circulation around your waist legs and groin area. Exercise regularly. Cardiovascular exercises and strength training all are beneficial for you. Walking too improves your blood circulation. Lose weight. Being overweight is one of the major causes of varicose veins. Have a balanced diet. Include more fiber in your meals. Fruits and vegetables high in antioxidants are good for you. Avoid alcohol as it dilates blood vessels making your varicose veins condition worse. Quit smoking as it doesn’t keeps your blood circulation healthy. Treatment: Wear medical Compression Stockings which are specially designed for varicose veins. Take homoeopathic medicine - Calcarea fluor. 12x/ and Hamamelis 200 - both thrice a day for 1 month. Then revert me back.

Pay close attention to your food choice. ·        Eat less carbohydrate food sources like chapatti, rice, noodles, pasta, bread etc as they help in gaining weight and storing fat. ·        While having lunch or dinner eat vegetables and dal to fill your stomach rather eating lots of chapattis or rice. ·        Have a healthy breakfast like poha, idli, upma, plain dosa, oats, dalia or khichdi with vegetables. ·        Eat a balance diet including good quality proteins like: fish, lean chicken and eggs. If you are a vegetarian then include skimmed milk, low fat paneer, butter milk, soy bean or soy milk in your diet. ·        Avoid ghee, butter or vanaspati. Prepare your diet with vegetable oil like sunflower, safflower soybean or olive oil. ·        Eat plenty of salads. ·        Eat fresh fruits including apple, orange, pineapple, papaya, sweet lime, berries, guava, watermelon, mask melon etc. ·        Avoid eating outside junk and fried foods like pizza, pasta, roll, burgers, cakes, chocolates and cookies. ·        Have an early dinner. The earlier the better, giving your system more time to digest the food. ·        Avoid cold drinks/alcohol as they add empty calories to your diet. ·        Avoid fat enriched milk products like cheese, sweets, full fat cream etc. ·        Drink 3 liters of water in a day. ·        Try to have less sugar in food and beverages. ·        Try to drink 2 cups of green tea in a day as green tea helps in weight loss by aiding digestion. ·        Avoid red meat like mutton, beef, lamb or pork. ·        Eat sprouts or roasted chana, whenever you feel hungry.

Hi my mother is suffering from varicose veins problems. As now a days viral has also been spread. My mother also had viral few days back and she had pain in her legs and in body joints. The problem is she has pain in bottom of legs. What can be done?

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Earlier stages of varicose veins are treated by wearing stockings, sleeping with legs elevated and sclerotherapy (injection of sclerosing agents in the veins ). Advanced stages are treated by destruction of defective valves in the veins or surgical removal of veins. In cases where there are no symptoms except bad cosmetic experience, no treatment is offered. You must get yourself evaluated by getting a Doppler ultrasound of veins done which would reveal the exact status of your veins.

Do color venous doppler of affected leg. If medicinal rx is possible then go for medicines or else if surgery is indicated think abut it. Advice using stockings at day time. No Prolong standing. Reduce weight if excess. Homeopathy has medicines for Weight loss & Varicose veins etc etc. Good Day.
