I'm mother of a 6 month old baby. On breast feeding. Since 2 days I have vaginal itching and white colour odourless discharge. Last year I had the same problem and doc told its yeast infection. I took oral fluconazole tablet. Since I'm breast feeding is it safe for me to take oral fluconazole? If not please suggest me some other remedies.

I want to get pregnant. And I am planning since last month. But fail to. What I suppose to do?

I want to get pregnant. And I am planning since last month. But fail to. What I suppose to do?
Maybe you're just really eager to get pregnant, or maybe you want your baby's birth to happen at a specific time. It is too early that you are getting worried. You need to keep trying. A consultation with gynaecologist should help. Please note that you can not predict a time frame and sometimes it takes time to conceive. Have patience and here are some tips which can help: tip #1: the biggest secret to getting pregnant faster is knowing when you ovulate (release an egg from your ovary). Think of the egg as a bull's-eye and the sperm as arrows. One of the arrows has to hit the bull's-eye in order for you to get pregnant. If you notice that you have irregular periods over the course of several months, pinpointing ovulation could be difficult. Ask your doctor for advice. Tip #2: once you know when your egg will be released from your ovary, you can plan to have sex during your most fertile days: from three days before ovulation through the day of ovulation. (starting a little sooner can't hurt; some women have gotten pregnant from sex that happened six days before they ovulated.) if you have a regular cycle of 28 days, days 12 to 16 days are said to be a woman's most fertile period counting from the first day of cycle. Tip #3: sperm have their best shot at fertilizing an egg when they're healthy, strong, and plentiful. Several things can help your partner get his sperm supply in fighting shape: - cut back on alcohol (studies show that drinking daily can reduce testosterone levels and sperm counts and raise the number of abnormal sperm) - quit tobacco and recreational drugs (these can cause poor sperm function) - eat enough of certain key nutrients like zinc, folic acid, calcium, and vitamins c and d, that help create plentiful, strong, wiggly sperm - avoid hot tubs, saunas, and hot baths, since heat kills sperm.

It's been 10years of our marriage & we don't hv a baby. 11/2 year back I got a miscarriage after three months. Till then Im facing problem of viginal infection. plz help!

Diploma in Family Medicine, M.Sc - Psychotherapy
Sexologist, Pune
Ten years of marriage and one miscarriage. You must have a large of file or reports and investigations to look into. Where are you from? Have you not consulted a good gynecologist? Don't look for miracle cures on net for a problem like this. Get in consultation with a good doctor before it is too late. Vaginal infections have nothing to do with infertility. Take care. I am 29 years female, every month in periods time I fell stomach pain. Its very pain. What I will do?

MBBS, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology

You should not ignore this condition. You must get an ultrasound to exclude any pathology particularly endometriosis which is very common at your age and can be diagnosed easily. Once ultrasound report is available further treatment may be suggested.

My first abortion left me with cysts and fibrous substance on both my ovaries and my uterus became small, what should I do. Pls suggest me something immediately.

Advanced Infertility
General Physician,
Hai. Abortion has nothing to do with cyst formation in the ovaries. Its the other way round. You may have polycystic ovaries which could be the cause for delayed conception and early abortion. You require a few investigations and management of PCO before trying again. Best widhes.

In that case, you may need misoprostol after taking mifepristone and if all fail, your doctor may consider surgical evacuation.

Hi lybrate-user! USG is not required in such early pregnancy. As you have had a miscarriage in your last pregnancy, we can give you some treatment to avoid such thing again. Avoid lifting heavy things, rushing, climbing stairs, heavy exercises etc. Take some rest. For prescription you can cons privately.

Hello lybrate user- Oligo mennhorea or less flow during menses might occur due to two causes, first if you have developed anaemia (low hb count) or you have experienced hormonal change in the body as seen in PCOS and thyroid.

Make Sure You Will Be Available at All the Times for Your Wife

Make Sure You Will Be Available at All the Times for Your Wife

From a husband's point of view "A Happy Wife Means a Happy Life". To keep most women happy is giving them unconditional love and support. If a husband wants to love his wife unconditionally, he should always be sure that her emotional tank is full. One of the best ways to do that is to affirm her constantly, let her know by words and actions that you value her, respect her and lover her.

For ages a husband's role has been that of a provider and protector. Men earn money to support the family and women would take care of home and children.

In the present scenario, most husband and wife are equally qualified but still women are and will always be mothers too, so they can never be free from the responsibilities of taking care of home and above all taking care of their children. While carry out all these responsibilities, her own goals and dreams take a back seat.

Give her the confidence: When a wife is handling various roles, her husband's support is very important for her to succeed. A husband supporting his wife through all phases also gives a very positive message to their children it indirectly evokes extreme confidence in them throughout their life.

Support her: A husband needs to give his wife confidence that you can do it and I will help you do it.  Be it in taking care of children, progressing in career, adjusting with the in-laws and small or big things men should encourage and support their wives achieve happiness.

Treat her as an equal: Husband and wife in marriage are meant to be equal partners. Both need to work as a team in order to have a successful family. Though husbands and wives have different skills and characteristics, each of them contributes to the success of a happy home.

Make her feel special: Helping her in her responsibilities or small actions to make her feel special are enough. These give her the reassurance that you are around.

Be there when times are difficult: The best is when you there to sort out her problems and to make things easier for her. Be there to support her in times of stress. It could be work, family or a personal issue, handle it together.

You are one of the lucky women who have no symptoms. sometimes they can start later but do get ultrasound at 8 weeks to reassure yourself that all is well with the baby.
