I'm watching porn movies daily and also masturbation once per day. And how to avoid the above effects. Any problems occred in after marriage.

Dear lybrate user, sperm cells are being continuously produced inside human testis. A single sperm cell needs about 4 months to mature before being ejaculated. Masturbating ejaculates many mature as well as immature sperm & results in the temporary deficit of sperm count. This loss of sperm results in the increased production of sperm. A sperm is mainly made up of protein. An increased production of sperm count needs a steady supply of protein. This supply of protein is met from the amount of protein we intake daily. Over masturbation increases the rate of production of sperm to such extent that the demand for protein cannot be fulfilled naturally & it often results in breakdown of protein from muscle tissues. This breakdown of muscle tissues is externally manifested as fatigue, weakness etc. Addiction to masturbation denotes that you are continuously indulged in sexual thoughts. This type of thoughts is common in people who live a sedentary life. If you really have a sedentary life-style you should get yourself out from it immediately. Socialize yourself. Do some physical exercise daily. Drink a lots of water. Create a routine of your daily schedule & maintain it. Stop watching porn in case you have developed a habit of watching it also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture origanum q, 10 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. This medicine will help to control your excessive sexual desire. However, you can masturbate for twice in a week. In order to minimise the after-effects of over-masturbation you can take homoeopathic cinchona officinalis 30 or china 30, 5 drops, thrice daily in empty stomach. This medicine will help to fight the seminal debility caused by the sexual exertion created by over-masturbation. Also I would like to advise you to conduct your semen analysis test. It will reveal the abnormalities in your semen if you really have any. If you find any abnormality in your semen analysis report.

Dear sir, if a person has a low blood pressure without experiencing any symptoms like dizziness, fainting etc. There is no problem. But if the same person takes stress, or anxiety or depression, can he get affected by cardiac arrest, heart problem, diabetes or dangerous health issue?

MD - Alternate Medicine, BHMS
Homeopath, Surat
If the blood pressure is low and no symptoms, then it is fine. But if you have any such symptoms, the immediate response should be take sugar in any form. Either glucose water, electral powder, ORS, etc. Stress, anxiety or depression are the things which affect all the individuals and yes it can cause heart and other problems. Best to continue exercising, so that it can be avoided.

I want to eat muscle mass and fat. Can you suggest me proper diet keeping in view that I am lactose intolerant.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
You may think that if you’re lactose intolerant, you just have to sacrifice the benefits of dairy. Yet there’s an alternative: Popping a couple of lactase enzyme supplements right before consuming dairy could help ensure that all the nutrients wind up in your muscles, not the toilet. Lactase enzymes have been shown in several clinical trials to effectively increase lactose digestion; these studies indicate that even subjects who are considered highly lactose intolerant can consume dairy products if they take enzyme supplements. When choosing a lactase enzyme supplement, look for a product standardized for Food Chemical Codex (FCC) lactase units. This signifies the product is produced according to FCC standards to break the bonds holding lactose together. Each person’s ability to digest lactose varies, so you have to experiment to find out how much supplemental lactase your body needs. If you consider yourself to be moderately lactose intolerant, start by taking 2, 500–5, 000 FCC units of lactase when consuming dairy-based protein supplements or foods. Those who are more sensitive to dairy should start with 10, 000–20, 000 FCC units. If your lactase supplement is in capsule form, make sure you take it at least 15 minutes before consuming dairy so your stomach has time to break down the capsule. Lactase powders or chewable supplements can be ingested at the same time as dairy. The meal plan below is designed for a bodybuilder who suffers with lactose intolerance and who wishes to gain lean, quality muscle and strength. If lactose is consumed it can cause bloating which is undesirable for someone who needs to eat frequently. Use the structured plan to give you an idea of what are suitable foods to consume and when to consume them in relation to weight training. The plan is a guide and it's important to vary choices; don't relay too much on supplements and make sure the brands you purchase are of good quality. Adapt the plan to suit your own needs and daily routine and vary portions and food choices from day to day. Also, for maximum performance ensure plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluid. Hi Semen analysis report viscosity moderate. Count nil .leucoytes 6-8/hpf. Ph 8.0. Motility several fields studied no motile or non motile spermatozoa. Please suggest treatment & duration of the treatment.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- Since your sperm count is nil (azoospermia) the motility and other factors must be left blank in the reports. Nil sperm count may be due to two conditions, either reduced sperm production or obstructions in the sperm pathway. Both the conditions can be cured with the help of medications. Duration of treatment will range from 30-90 days depending upon which type of azoospermia you are suffering from.

Regarding the Gases / hard stools & back head pain etc, since the problem had become so much that I decided to go for "Lipo endoscopy" surgery for my Hiatus Hernia, last year in Oct 15 thinking that this was the root cause of all my symptoms, but unfortunately, all my efforts of surgery went in vain and the problems are same or rather bad as they were couple of year back in Renukoot or earlier. Since there was No relief from surgery, I again visited a Good Gastroenterologist, in Bhopal, in Dec 2015, who prescribed the following medications-- Diagnosis--(IBS/post operative case of Hiatus hernia/Painful defecation/Also he advised Psychiatric help) Pantose-D (before B/F) Cap Velgut depof 37 (morning) medigas axiwill (night) But again No relief as usual and I stopped his medicines. You would recall my symptoms as reported to you in Renukoot @ Sept/Dec 2007 and there after on mails. By & large all the previous symptoms still persists and I have never come out of the same ever, as on date. Your Diagnosis was--Hypertension/Hiatus hernia/IBS Medications were Amplopress-Z 1OD Tenoric 1OD Serlift 25 mg 1OD cap omez-D 1BD Mucaine gel Altiva-D, then replaced by Alerid-D and finally Feliz S plus in the night After I left Renukoot since I was not directly in touch with you, lately I tried Homeopathic. The good homeopath also tried various good medicines for last 1 year or so particularly for Lower GI tract and to increase the mortality of rectum for removing the trapped Gases/hard stool in the large intestine ,but unfortunately they are also not working for me. Hence I am back to the square one. My current symptoms are by & large the same as you saw in Renookut. Rather it has taken more sever form. My daily routine has come to a standstill and not able to go to work anymore. I am at home only trying to somehow get rid of the stupid health problem Symptoms as on date Severe back head pain/biting sensation at the time of wake up Severe sprain/strain/biting in neck and shoulders/entire back. Almost the whole day In Fact the whole body suffer through strain/muscular sprains and biting feeling.(while gives temporary relief with head or full body massage). Heaviness over the eyes Gases/Bloating/belching starts severe after B/F till Lunch time Very weak feeling as long as the stomach is bloated with gases--between B/F and Lunch the trapped gases do not come out at all creating all the undue pressures on neck/head etc Hard stools in colon--very difficult to defecate Dryness of mouth /lips Too much lethargy--don't feel like doing anything. Feels like only lying down in bed or taking frequent naps across the entire day /very sad mode. Don't feel like talking to anybody or going out or do any activity. This feeling is giving me fears of how I will sustain my Job or continue working. Please note that the problem starts in the early morning since wake up and persists the whole day. It is severe since early morning and peaks till Lunch. after Lunch I am forced to go to bed lying down pressing the pillow on stomach side, so as to expul the trapped gases since last night/morning. Feel slightly better after the gases comes out in 1 hour of lying down in bed. The story doesn't end here. The 2nd cycle of Lunch gases starts build up and gives the same symptoms. Again & again. So the 24 hr cycle continues. After trying various medications over a period of long time---I feel I have got depression clubbed with Lower GI severity where in gases/hard stools are trapped and creates all the issues. Please Let me know your diagnosis and suggest the best medication to get rid of this chronic problem Once for all. I am taking the following medication now-- Pentose-D-before B/F (since I do not have any acid reflux, please let me know whether this medicine is needed or not.) Nebistar SA 1OD cardace 1OD Lipvas 20 mg for cholesterol Feliz S plus in the night Aloe vera Gel with fibre-2 times/day Note--{As long as the stomach is Bloated & is full of gases, the back head/neck and shoulder is terrible and the moment the gases evacuate/expelled the head/neck/shoulders etc become completely light, Hence it will be very important to focus on how to eliminate the bloating/gases/hard stools/and symptoms of strain/depression} Look forward to your valuable advice immediately.

Vitamin B12 in Vegetarian Diets

A Critical Nutrient:
Vitamin B12 is a very important nutrient. It is required for proper red blood cell formation and for the development of the nervous system. A deficiency of vitamin B12 is a serious nutritional concern, resulting in anemia and changes in the function of the nervous system. While milk and eggs contain vitamin B12, no plant food naturally contains the vitamin. Unless they consume a B12 supplement or foods fortified with B12, a vegan is at risk of vitamin B12 deficiency.

What are the symptoms of B12 deficiency?
If blood levels of vitamin B12 drop below normal values, ANEMIA results. This may be followed by impairment in cognitive function.
Other symptoms include:
-Numbness and tingling in the arms and legs,
-Weakness and excessive fatigue,
-A range of psychiatric disorders including disorientation, depression, mood disturbances, irritability, memory loss, difficulty in concentration, and dementia.

Some people also experience an inability to maintain balance when walking, and a loss of position sense. Many B12 deficiency symptoms may be due to other causes, therefore, it is wise to be examined by a health care provider to determine the cause of the symptoms.

What are the long-term consequences of vitamin B12 deficiency?
Infants who are vitamin B12 deficient often display signs of developmental delay or regression both physically and mentally. These delays may have a long term consequence on the child, lasting into adulthood. In the elderly, neuropsychiatric disorders caused from a vitamin B12 deficiency are often irreversible.

Why are babies at risk of vitamin B12 deficiency?
A baby born to a mother who has been a strict vegetarian and who has not had reliable sources of vitamin B12 for a number of years is especially at risk. Unborn babies have a special need for vitamin B12 and this need may not be met by a mother deficient in the nutrient. In addition, the infant may not receive sufficient levels of B12 in breast milk, when breast-fed by a vitamin B12-deficient mother or a woman whose diet is not adequate in vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 deficiency may develop in a breast fed infant within 3-6 months of age. A child with a vitamin B12 deficiency may become apathetic, lethargic, and experience failure to thrive.

Can the elderly also be at risk for vitamin B12 deficiency?
Yes. As people age, there is a decrease in the secretion of stomach acid as well as a drop in the digestive enzyme pepsin. As a result, digestion of vitamin B12 from protein is diminished, inhibiting the amount of B12 available for absorption. People over 50 years of age may show neurological changes due to vitamin B12 deficiency. It is believed that a considerable number of elderly patients have neuropsychiatric disorders due to vitamin B12 deficiency.

How long does it take to develop a vitamin B12 deficiency?
Since the liver does store extra vitamin B12, and the body has a recycling process for B12, it may take an adult 3-10 years to develop a deficiency once intake of the nutrient has ceased. If one’s past vitamin B12 intake has been very low, a deficiency may manifest itself in much less than 3 years after cessation of intake.

How much B12 do we need?
Only about 2 ½ micrograms of vitamin B12 is required per day. A cup of milk has about 1 microgram of B12, while a cup of soy or rice milk contains from 1 to 3 micrograms, and a serving of B12-fortified commercial cereal has 1.5 micrograms.

Vegetarian meat analogs that are fortified may contain anywhere from 1 to 6 micrograms of vitamin B12. More and more vegetarian foods are being fortified with B12, but it is imperative that one read the food label, as fortification levels may change from time to time.

What foods are reliable sources of B12?
Milk, yogurt and cheese, along with eggs, are the only vegetarian food items that naturally contain significant levels of vitamin B12. Plant foods may be fortified with B12. These include rice and soy beverages, plantderived meat analogs, ready-to-eat breakfast cereals, and nutritional yeast. It is important to read the labels for these foods as not all products and brands have B12 fortification, and the amount of fortification can change with time.

What foods are unreliable sources of vitamin B12 although they claim to contain
a sufficient amount?
While claims are made for tempeh, miso, and other fermented soy products, as well as spirulina, some seaweeds, brewers yeast, and leafy vegetables, these foods do not contain any significant level of vitamin B12.

Can’t we make our own B12?
Yes. The bacteria in our colon make vitamin B12. However, the absorption of B12 takes place higher up in the gastrointestinal tract, near the end of the small intestine. Therefore, it is unavailable for use in the body.

Are all supplements good sources of the vitamin?
Since the body has a limited capacity for absorption, there is really no reason to ingest more than 10 to 50 micrograms of vitamin B12 supplement per day. Larger amounts are very poorly absorbed and wasted. For effective absorption, a B12 tablet must be dissolved under the tongue or chewed. B12 capsules normally dissolve in the gastrointestinal tract and are readily absorbed. Sub-lingual B12 sprays are also a useful source of B12.

Vitamin B12 deficiency is not uncommon. Vegans must be especially careful to get adequate amounts on a regular basis, preferably daily. A daily B12 supplement is necessary when B12-fortified plant foods are not regularly consumed. Nutrition labels on processed foods must be carefully studied to determine how much B12 is supplied by one serving of the food.
