I am having cough and running nose for over a month now. I have taken no medication. Recently, I had diarrhea after which every time I cough I get pain at the back of my head. What should I do to get rid of this.
Liver cirrhosis and Homeopathy
The largest gland of the human body is liver. Cirrhosis is a chronic liver disease which features abnormality in structure and functioning of the liver.
Cirrhosis normally means damage to liver cells. These damaged cells are then replaced by scar tissues which restricts the organ to work normally as it ought to. The replacement of normal liver cells with scar tissues is a long and slow process.
The continuous inflammation of the liver cells due to certain conditions wears out them and the regeneration process works with fibrosis and scar tissue formation. If not treated and checked it may lead to liver failure.
Cirrhosis affects liver very badly and disrupts the normal functioning of the liver some of which are of great importance to the human body and all conditions which can damage the cells of the liver can easily cause cirrhosis.
Cirrhosis of liver means the circulation of blood within the liver is not in a normal condition and hence affecting liver metabolism and elimination of various end products of liver. Liver treats and breaks down many substances which include alcohol, drugs and red blood cells. With the formation of cirrhosis liver does not work properly which means accumulation of various harmful substances in liver and hence damaging liver more and more.
Liver cirrhosis is caused due to many factors like viral infections including hepatitis, Alcohol, Cystic fibrosis, Wilson’s disease, Primary biliary cirrhosis, Drugs and toxins, Schistosomiasis (snails) and many more.
These conditions gradually lead to the wear and tear of liver thus affecting its normal routine and mostly causing cirrhosis.
The symptoms of this disease are not easily recognizable at early stages but gradually symptoms can be seen like appetite loss, nausea, weight loss, jaundice, skin itching, swelling in abdomen and ankles, easy bruising, palms turn warm and reddish, asterexis, spider naevi and some more. When cited the patient should be rushed to the doctor and treatment should be started thereafter.
Homeopathy has proven its point in treating liver conditions of all types. Homeopathy not just treats the symptoms of cirrhosis but also treats its underlying causes like genetic tendency, viral infection, metabolic changes, alcoholic bad effects etc. and helps to treats cirrhosis on the whole. Homeopathy helps in controlling further damage to the liver cells. Homeopathy cannot help in curing scarred tissues as it is impossible to regenerate those affected tissues.
Homeopathy helps in increasing a person’s immune response and hence reduces the virus load and gradually improving the overall health of liver.if homeopathic medication is given to the patient at early stages it helps in preventing the disease in going any further and preventing further complications like liver failure or cancer from occurring. These are the associated disease of cirrhosis if not treated properly.
Homeopathy is hence very helpful in treating the disease efficiently and prevents the disease from progressing and if administered in early stages homeopathic medication helps in restoring most of the normal liver functions. Thus, homeopathic treatment for this disease is strongly advised and especially in the early stages.
I am 38 years old male and suffering from constipation and gas formation from long time, have tried with ayurvedic and homeopath treatment but not cured yet, now a days observing itching around anus which is very irritating, is it symptom of piles? What should I do to get relief from this?
Excessive gas can be defined as bloating, belching, flatulence and burping. It does not matter what you call it, but what matters is how you treat it and get relieved from the embarrassing symptoms.
Here are some ways in which you can avoid gastric problems:
- Avoid eating foods that can cause gas or acidity. Vegetables which are known to cause acidity are Brussels, Onions, Garlic and Broccoli; dairy products like cheese, milk, ice cream and whole grains can cause acidity. The reason is that these products have fiber, starch and sugar which cannot be digested easily, thus causing pain in the intestines. Fruits which contain sorbitol and aerated drinks should also be avoided. Eat everything but in moderation.
- Avoid drinking before meals as the stomach acids are lost and the food cannot be digested well. Water and liquids should be taken half an hour after a meal for a better digestion.
- Food should be eaten slowly. Eating and drinking quickly, allows a lot of air to go into the stomach with the food. This in turn can cause a stomach pain.
- Over the counter drugs can be taken for immediate help in digestion. These medicines contain enzymes which aid in digestion. The enzyme works to dissolve the sugar that is found in many fruit and vegetables.
- Some habits like chewing gum, drinking from a straw and smoking, etc. causes air to fill in the stomach, thereby, leading to gas.
- Artificial sweeteners such as sorbitol should be avoided as these are difficult to digest and can easily lead to a feeling of bloating.
However, all the pains might not be due to gas and could be a sign of something serious. These could be:
- Lactose intolerance: This is the inability to digest milk and milk products. The sugar in the milk is known as lactose and cannot be digested easily.
- Irritable bowel syndrome: People who suffer with pain in the lower abdomen constantly might be suffering from IBS.
- Colon cancer: If the pain lasts too long then getting a screening done is a good idea to rule out if one is suffering from colon cancer or not.
- Upper gastrointestinal disorders: If one gets belching occasionally, then it is alright, but a constant belching might be a sign of gastrointestinal disorder in the upper tract. These could be gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastroparesis, or peptic ulcers.
Food whatever I take do not digest quickly, it takes 8 hrs. I feel tightness to exhaust latrine in the morning. Dinner is almost half digested upto next morning. I never feel light from whole day to night.

Bloating is a condition in which the abdomen swells up and the affected person starts feeling uneasy. It affects both children and adults. Gas is a condition which is characterized by bloating, burping and pain in your abdomen. It usually forms when swallowed air reacts with the gases created by the stomach bacteria breaking down the undigested food in your large intestine. Excessive gas by itself can also lead to bloating of the stomach.

Sometimes, when it comes to problems in the abdominal area, an ultrasound is not clear enough for a diagnosis. In such cases, an Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) may be performed. This procedure gives the doctor a clear view of the duodenum, bile duct, pancreatic ducts, gallbladder and papilla of Vater.
This procedure is usually performed under intravenous sedation without general anesthesia. This procedure involves the use of a duodenoscope, which can be described as a thin, long, flexible tube with a camera at one end. It also has a fiber optic bundle that transmits lights to the camera and a chip to transmit video images to a TV screen.
This is inserted through the patient’s mouth and sent down the throat through the food pipe to the stomach and duodenum while the patient is lying on his or her back. The air pipe is left undisturbed so as to not interfere with the patient’s breathing. Since the patient is not under general anesthesia, he or she can move and turn according to the doctor’s needs. The papilla of Vater is a small nipple like structure with an opening to the bile duct and pancreatic duct. Once this has been identified, a small plastic catheter is passed through the duodenoscope into the bile duct or pancreatic duct through the papilla. Dye is then injected into the area and X-rays are taken of the bile ducts and pancreatic duct. In cases where a biopsy is needed, other instruments can also be passed through the endoscope. Plastic or metal stents can also be passed through this to relieve obstructions in the bile ducts and pancreatic ducts.
ERCP can be used to diagnose and treat a number of conditions in the liver, bile ducts, gall bladder, pancreas and papilla of Vater. These include:
• Blockage of the bile duct by gallstones, cancer, scars, tumors or compression from adjacent organs.
• Jaundice due to an obstructed bile duct. This can also cause light stools and dark urine.
• Persistent upper abdominal pain
• Unexplained weight loss and loss of appetite
• Diagnosing a Dysfunctioning Sphincter of Oddi within the Papilla of Vater
ERCP can also be used to confirm pancreatic cancer and cancer of the bile duct. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, the doctors can customize treatment according to the patient’s needs.
