Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Hi lybrate-user if you've had the foul breath for some time, it could be related to the plaque and calculus deposits and the associated inflammation of the gums. It may also occasionally arise from an underlying systemic problem, e. G. Poorly controlled diabetes, gastro-oesophageal reflux etc. However, if it has only started after your meal last night, it might be due to the food particles getting lodged somewhere in between your teeth, possibly in a decayed tooth. I suggest you see a dentist so that the correct cause can be identified and appropriate treatment instituted. Hope this helps.

Helo sir I am Akash I am 25 yrs old man n I have suffering from cavity problem so what should I di.

BDS
Dentist, Ahmedabad
6- Cavity Having cavities is not a serious problem at all. Cavities which are not too deep can be excavated and be restored by a dental cement. Cavities that are very deep can be cured by root canal treatment followed by crown ( cap ). For better prevention of cavities , 1- Follow proper brushing technique. 2- Brush twice a day 3-clean your teeth immediately every time after you eat food or liquids. 4- Undergo scaling ( cleaning of teeth) at the interval of every 5-6 months. 5- Visit dentist for regular oral cavity check up every 4 months for the early diagnosis and prevention of dental diseases. I have too much cavity in my back side tooth, please give me a solution?

BDS
Dentist,
I have too much cavity in my back side tooth, please give me a solution?
Depending upon how deep is the cavity and presence of pain or not, you may have to get the root canal treatment or get the filling done to save the teeth. Getting late in correcting the cavity of the tooth may lead to failure of saving the tooth n you may have to get it remove in future. However, to decide the proper treatment, we need some more investigations including clinical examination.

Do you want pearl like white teeth?

M.Sc - Medical Bio-chemistry, BDS
Dentist, Jaipur
Do you want pearl like white teeth?
Generally people are worried about yellowish shade of their permanent teeth. Even parents complain that permanent teeth are yellower in shade than previous milk teeth of their child.

Actually milk teeth are called milk teeth because they have the refrective index (in lay language whiteness) equal to milk. So those teeth are milky white. But permanent teeth are yellower in shade always. And every person may have different shade of teeth.

Due to some causes like chromogenic bacteria, tea, coffee, tobbaco, food colours, fluorosis, enamel hypoplasia, dentinogenesis imperfecta, etc there may be discolouration of teeth. In that case you need to visit a dental surgeon. Otherwise slight yellow shade of natural teeth is no matter of worry. So do not get confused with television commercials claiming to provide you pearl like white teeth. Tooth colour shade is just like you skin tone. No toothpaste can change your teeth shade. If you want to get a lighter shade then go for bleaching after consulting your dentist.

Need to check my entire terth problems. I have holes and have done lot of root canal treatments wherein I have waisted money and more over the time spend for continuous consultations and sittings. Need to know whether any permanent solutions along with a reasonable affordable cost could be looked at. I reside in Bangalore

If your root canal treated teeth are in good condition then you need not to worry. If there are missing teeth then you can go for implants which is permanent solution.

I have a small tumor in mouth. But it not painful. What I do.?

BDS
Dentist,
Get the growth in your mouth examined by your dentist. Pain should never be considered as a criteria to get a check up done. The growth may be something insignificant but at the same time it should not be neglected as it may have a potential of becoming something serious.

Does scaling of teeth or refiling hurts and is it costly?

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist,
Both the treatments are generally not painful. But if you are suffering from sensitivity then it might be painful. Your dentist can always help you with the pain by giving local anesthesia. Cost varies upon the type of material used for filling, a local dentist should be able to help you with the cost.

MDS - Prosthodontist and Implantologist, Root canal certificate, BDS

Hello clinching your teeth in the night is also called as bruxism. This may happen due to various reasons. The most common reason for bruxism is stress. However, you require a night guard to protect your teeth from wearing out due to bruxism. I would advise you to see a dentist for getting a night guard to protect our teeth.
