Hi, hope you are doing good, take a electro therapy treatment for 15days from any physio clinic, and do never stretching exercise of arm, once radiating pain get reduce than learn neck muscles stretching and strengthing exercise, and shoulder group of muscle strengthing exercise from your physiotherapist, ok don't worry you will be alright, take care and be happy always.

I am a male of 50 years having pain in lower back and hip joint of the right side. Due to work schedule I need to sit long hours on the chair. I am non-diabetic, non-hypertensive, non-smoker and non-alcoholic. I do light exercises like walking and Pranayam also. I have not taken any medical advice on this problem till now. This pain might just be due to postural problem. Right posture can go a long way. 1. Use a small cushion placed behind your lumbar spine while you sit. Sit with a backrest. 2. Start some lower back strengthening exercises if the problem persists. Please consult someone. Hope you get well soon.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. Prevention should have been tried. Now herbal decoctions, anti infectants'raktashodhak' and charamrognashak medicines are indicated in ayurveda. For the time being, till you decide to start full treatment, take turmeric in milk or warm water, wash face with neem water and little turmeric and calcined alum - shubhra bhasm - mixed to it. Do not squeeze or cause friction to lesions.

Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Swollen foot is a abnormal finding, kindly furnish following to guide you well. 1- whether swelling is bilateral (both legs and elsewhere) 2-does it pit or leave impressions of a thumb, you may do small push with your right thumb against hard bones, probably shin bones. 3-does she has any lung /heart / kidney/liver related issue 4- what medication she is taking. 5-sometimes pain in joints or arthritis also produces pain with edema (swelling) osteopororsis in old age a regular feature ,on rare occasions extreme fragility and bedridden patient suddenly undergo spontaneous/stress fracture which may be evident to visiting doctor. Fever ,vomiting ,extreme pain, vertigo (giddiness) etc are sinister signs, if they are present consult a general physician asap. Good luck.

My mom is suffering from arthritis since almost 20 years. She is 59 years old and now cannot walk or getup from bed without support and she does not feel like eating. Her legs are always swollen. Can you please help.

Ankle advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Ankle stretching. Ankle strengthening exercises. Avoid squatting. Quadriceps exercises. Core strenthening exercises. Stretch calves get a custom made insole. Hams stretching. Sports taping. Hot fomentation.

No need of kft. Take below treatment expel drops 20 drops 3 times berb vulg q 15 drops 3 times in 1/4cup of water for 8 days and revert back for further treatment.

Hope you did not have injury due to accident or fall. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. In case it continues consult a acupuncture/acupressure dr. In your place. Also take calcium tablets for a limited period 2 months.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Back pain 1. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Piriformis stretch 1. Lie on your back. 2. Cross your left leg over your right so that your left ankle rests on your right knee. 3. Use your hands to grab hold of your left knee and pull it gently toward the opposite shoulder. 4. Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. 5. Relax, and then repeat with the other leg. 6. Repeat this cycle 2 to 4 times.
