I am 36 years 6' 85 kg, Before six months I had sprain in my wrist due to playing badminton my wrist was swelled and unable to move frequently that time. Now situation is improved and no pain in normal situation but wrist is snapping when I move my wrist. And if when I play badminton now some stress n slightly pain come again in my wrist. Pls advice what the reason n suggest required diagnosis and treatment if necessary.

Hello Lybrate user Wrist muscles are quite weak and unable to bear load while playing badminton beacuse of change in position of wrist & hand. Do warm water exercises of wrist and strengthening exercise. Avoid jerky movements at wrist, apply gently muscle relaxant ointment/gel. Wear wrist band while working to provide support to joint. Exercises with advice of qualified physiotherapist only.

The fracture should be set right & immobilised.(Either by plaster or by surgery). A normal balanced diet is good enough for fracture healing.

Dear doctor My age is 45 . last 3 years I face muscle body pain continuously what should I do please?

It is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use this no pillow under the head. Any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

Hello! The sound you mentioned is actually called Crepitus. It is usually because of a weak knee joint. Consult a physiotherapist, start Calcium supplement. Do knee strengthening exercises of the knee joint. You will definetely feel better.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. Do share investigation reports if you have any.

Do X Ray of perticular spine region. Find cause of pain Start morning walk daily for 20 min at least. Reducing weight will help you for backpain If Reports will have any patho physiology then you can take good homeopathic medicines on Detail case study.

Your problem may be due to many conditions such as arthritis or thyroid, etc. So get ot checked. It can also be due to some kind of food alergy so track it. Drink plenty of fluids.

Can be solved through acupressure/ acupuncture easily. Try this for 3 days. Eat nutritious food including green vegetables, dairy products fruits do regular exercise. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Consult after 5 days.

Usually shoulder pain after throwing ball is because of injury to biceps tendon and labrum in shoulder. Take rest for 3 weeks. Don't drive bike. Don't do activities which cause pain. Apply ice daily 5 times 10 min every time. Review after 21 days.

I have back ache for the past 5 or 6 tears. Alopathy doctors advise not to go for any massage treatment for this particular problem. Is it true?

Back pain starts with simple muscle fatigue initially but as soon as it start people goes to allopathy Dr. And that's how things starts to deteriorate. Simple stretching of back muscle, hamstring (google it-hamstring, glutes and erector spinea muscle stretching) can cure most of the back pain which are because of the long standing working pathology. But if it has become converted in to chronic do not go for it until suggested by an expert physio. For massage, it's again a vague term, a physio will use myofacial release to cute tighten tissue and will help in relieving pain and stiffness regards.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. 1. No psychological reason. 2. Get X ray done and share report. 3. Start with Physiotherapy treatment. 4. Learn spinal exercises. 5. Don't sit on floor. 6. Don't lift heavy things. 7. Take calcium, vitamin D 3 and Methylcobalmine supplement for one month. 8. Apply volini cream before sleeping. 9. Use lumber spine belt.

1.Thera-Band Shoulder Scapular Retraction- Grasp the band between your hands with slight tension. Keep our elbows bent 90° and pinch your shoulder blades together. Hold & slowly return. 2. Thera-Band Shoulder Shrug- Stand on the middle of the band and grasp both ends by your side, taking up the slack. Keep your elbows straight and lift your shoulders upward. Hold and slowly return. TIP: Avoid bending your elbows to complete the motion.

My wife is suffering from pain. After our second child's birth in left leg's knee to foot pain started and we had shown to doctor. Doctor has given precription with full legs socks but even after 8 years problem has not been shorted out what should we do please provide a solution.

Try this for joint pains try this. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.
