Total hip replacement is a good procedure (thr). But at best it is a artificial joint. It can never be as good as he natural one. Kindly adjust your life to the thr. Be thankful to science to make you pain free.

Usually eating food should not lead to back pain, if you are not maintaining correct posture while eating- like sitting on floor etc, can lead to back pain so avoid sitting on floor, sitting crosslegged do not bend forward to lift any heavy weight do regular exercises for general well being and back strengthening exercises take vitamin d supplement.

When leg pain occurs after strenuous physical activity, you can simply apply cold compresses. This will help reduce the pain by numbing the affected area and control swelling and inflammation. 1. Wrap a few ice cubes (or a bag of frozen peas) in a thin towel. 2. Apply this pack on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes, while keeping the leg (s) elevated. 3. Do this a few times a day. Note: do not apply ice directly on the skin, as it may cause frostbite. Also take a glass of warm milk daily.

Hi joint pain is very common in Rheumatoid Arthritis and it requires lots of exercises to reduce the pain and to maintain and restore joint movement. Because of pain patient avoid movement which furthur leads to joint stiffness and development of joint deformity. Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying • Quadriceps strengthening exercises- • Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. • Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. • Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Check for uric acid problems if found that you need to take low purine diet. There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed to protect against future flares or prevent gout from occurring in the first instance: maintain a high fluid intake (2-4 liters a day) avoid alcohol maintain a healthy body weight eat a balanced diet limit fish, meat and poultry intake. If attempting to lose weight, avoid low-carbohydrate diets. If carbohydrate intake is insufficient, the body is unable to burn its own fat properly, releasing substances called ketones into the bloodstream. This results in a condition called ketosis that can increase the level of uric acid in the blood. It is most important to avoid foods that are high in purines, to ensure that the levels of uric acid in the blood do not get too high. Here is a list of high-purine foods to be wary of: anchovies asparagus beef kidneys beans dried beans and peas game meats gravy herring liver mackerel mushrooms sardines scallops sweetbreads. I would lose some weight by walking or other exercise, avoid meats

The main cause of backache is weakness of muscles around spine. You should do hot fomentation and spinal exercises under the guidance of physiotherapist. Avoid forward bending and lifting weights. Get your blood tested for hemogram, sugar, uric acid, thyroid and vitamin D3, to rule out anemia, infection, diabetes, thyroid, gout and vitamin D deficiency. Review after Reports.

Do check your vitamin d3 zinc s. Alk. Phosphate from nabl lab and do have hot and cold water fomentation thrice a day for 10 days.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. I would like to know whether you are aquaphobic or not. Aquafobic people do have an irrational fear about water, being water etc. From the given symptoms it seems that you are aquafobic. Don't panic. I suggest you for a desensitization therapy as a cure.
