this might be lumbar spondylosis / sciatica pain get done MRI L-S spine.& consult privately. 1) Do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min., afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) Start natural calcium supplement. 3) Do regular stretching exercise 4) In yoga DO BHUJANGASAN, HALASAN & SURYANAMASKAR. LIFE-STYLE CORRECTION 1) Correct your sitting posture. 2) Take small pillow or back rest for lower back. 3) Foot should rest to floor easily. 4) Take small break after 1 hr & walk few steps. 5) Do neck & upper back extension, give feedback after 4 days.

I am 23 year girl. I am suffering through severe back pain which is on right side. Not in the bone. The pain so severe that I had to take pain killer. I have gone through the mri but the reports are normal. The pain is increasing day by day and has started in my right hand also. Please help

Start with physiotherapy sessions and learn exercise for spine. Don't sit on floors. Don't do forward bending. Use lumber spine belt also. Take calcium and methylcobalamine supplement with evion capsules.

You should walk regularly and do back strengthening ex. You should do hot water fermentation of back also.Do it for 15 days.Then let me know how much relief you get.

I have a problem with my legs, it will be pain too much when I kick my bike, pain was started only in my left leg from my thighs to foot. Its too much painful. It will be out of control and I can not walk properly. When I take a pain killer then it k0make me relief. What should I do.

Do Take An X ray of leg and do if Musculoskeletal USG or MRi to rule out the cause of pain and lump and consult Neuro Physician or Neuro physiotherapist best wishes

Knee Advice... Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting. Quadriceps Exercises. Hams Stretching. Sports Taping Hot Fomentation.

I am diabetic since 13 years I am 36 years old I take lantus 25 units, I had a 50% blockage I am taking angispan TR 2.5 twice, ramipril once clopitab 75 once and tonact 80 once my problem is when I sit for long time on chair in office my left leg ankle is getting swelling and again it goes off after rest. I had all the kidney related test all are normal I even have spondylitis is it because of spondylitis? Or it is because of diabetic neuropathy.

Hi, u r diabetic and over weight 100 kgs , bcz of above u mostly have venous incompetence in legs , so u need to be investigated doppler ultra sound etc. Reduce ut weight , do walk , leg elevation , use leg stockings, consult vascular surgron.

My wife 33 yrs old, gets tired/exhausted very easily. Apart from that, she suffers from pain in the legs, head ache and back pain too very frequently. Her weight has increased sharply in last couple of years. She has been diagnosed with low vitamin d and tsh value at 6. 1 are these related? what else could be the reason for these problems and how can we resolve them?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. She is young with multiple issues. She needs to get in an active lifestyle. - regular physical therapy initially in supervision of a physiotherapist - brisk walks for 2-3 km/day in morning - adequate supplementation for calcium and vitamin d - get her cbc, esr, crp and serum electrolyte levels to see whether there is any deficiency, it can be supplemented - thyroid status should be in check and I ask for consultation with a general physician for it. Hi, I am 31 years woman, weighing 93 Kgs. Suffering with Plantar fasciitis. Recently I have joined Bokwa classes which is similar to Zumba exercise program. But it involves lot of jumping. I am suffering more pain after the workout in my foot. Though I am wearing proper supporting shoes during the workouts. Pls suggest if it is dangerous to do this kind of fitness exercise with Plantar fasciitis or not and alternative way to loose weight.

Hi lybrate-user, any exercise which makes you jump will not allow your planter fasciitis for sure. You need to take break for couple of months from bokwa. Most people have hormonal issue underlying their weight problem and simply doing exercise for 45-60 min per day is not very effective for weight loss. Deciding a diet plan as per your metabolic profile is most effective tool for sustainable weight loss without struggling with hunger or low energy. Avoid all junk food and all sweet food. Low fat diet does not work for majority of people. Eat wholesome nutritious food full of fibers, good quality fat like ghee and coconut etc. Don't focus on calories but on nutritional density and diversity. Simultaneously working on exercise and diet will surely help. Best rate to lose weight is 1/2 kg per week. If that happens, it is least likely to go high again in future. You do not have to do rigorous exercise to lose weight but start with something small. Let us say 8 minute workout. Pick one which you like and can do. Trying to lose weight in very short time will need some form of crash diet. Even if you lose weight doing this kind of crash diet, you will get it all back within no time and all the gain will be mainly fat. Not good for your health. Be gentle and patient with yourself. Demonstrate commitment in your persistent efforts. Make comprehensive change in diet, exercise (low impact, high intesity), sleep and stress in your routine. This is called lifestyle medicine. If you can not do it on your own, find some lifestyle medicine expert who can help you in this over extended period of time. We even do this long distance over phone and internet. Best wishes to you.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Hello . I am a 40 year old female .Married and have 2 kids .Am suffering from hypothyroid since last 3 years.I am recommended 75 MCG thyronorm tablets.And tsh is 1.92 now stable.Also regular shelcal 500. But I have not taken calcium since 2 months as regular intake caused flatulence.And heaviness in stomach.Is it compulsory .If yes then can u tell me a better calcium supplement. I have mild joint pains also .

You can avoid calcium supplement and instead take milk n curd in your diet. For joint pains rule out reumetoid arthrities if not,take multivitamins or pregabalin 75mg bed time.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

My mother is 50years old, she is getting pain in joint knee, also hand paining in joint, also suffering from vertigos, also thyroid operation has done, chest pain, weight getting increase, BP getting high most of the time, Specially suggest something on knee joint & BP. Although implant should not cause anything inside the body but yes it can be removed once solid bony union has taken place and bone has appropriately remodelled. Dear lybrate-user, do you go for jogging everyday or you have started only recently. If you have started jogging only recently then I think you need to do warm up and stretching exercises first and the start jogging other wise you will have muscle cramps and other complications like tendinitis and even tear of tendons. But if you are a regular jogger and having recent onset of pain then better consult an orthopaedic surgeon.

Dear lybrate user, she might be having tingling, burning or numbness of foot or arm. We term it glove and stocking symptoms and it is due to diabetic neuropathy. Treatment are available for it, you need to consult your endocrinologist or pain specialist to examine for extent of problem and advise medicine accordingly. Hope it helps.
